Had left an expensive pair of shoes in our room. Called reception on day of departure to ask if they could look for my shoes in the room we had stayed. Spoke to a lady on reception who said she would contact housekeeping, Phoned again 2 hrs later to see if they had been found and the man on reception said if we find them we will give you a call, but you will not receive a call if not found. I again phoned the following day and the lady on reception, and she said there has been nothing noted on the system, so I asked again could she please try to locate my expensive shoes and give me a call if found or not. Again I never had a phone call. When you are there the staff are so nice and chatty. BUT when you have vacated your room and left. They just throw you on the pile and look for the next paying customer , What a SHAM that they never even attempted to look for my shoes, Never mind, won`t be visiting again and will not use WARNERS as a Hotel. Anyway its only a glorified BUTLINS. Was waiting for bohemian rock as advertised as a queen tribute, checked them out on utube and they looked good, so looked forward to it But when they appeared on stage it was the local cabaret band and all the entertainments staff trying to imitate queen. What a disappointment that was, do not remember throwing my shoes at them.

The disappointment began two weeks prior to arriving at Heythrop Park. We were then informed that the pool was not open and Spa treatments were unavailable. On arrival at the car park, we found that the Disabled parking bays were cordoned off and the remaining 3 parking bays had already been taken. This led to finding a parking spot much further away from the hotel entrance. Our rooms were unclean and a cleaner had to be called. Our dinner was booked for 19.45hrs and after queuing for some time we were seated. Our starter arrived at 20.45hrs, the main course at 21.30hrs so were unable to see the show which started at 21.00hrs. Queuing for every meal whether for breakfast or evening meal for ageing guests made it particularly difficult, especially as bookings were already timed. This was caused by tables being uncleared and the reception staff constantly changing at the entrance to the restaurant. When conversing with other guests it was only to hear other complaints i.e. being moved 3 times to other rooms, used bathrobes in wardrobes, no hot water, missing towels and toiletries and the list goes on, too numerous to mention. Although this is a paperless Hotel , it would have been advantageous to have had an information pack, particularly for ageing guests. There was a noticeable lack of management overseeing, to ensure the smooth running of the Hotel. The overall opinion of many of us was that it was 'organised chaos' and that the Hotel was not ready to be opened. It was patently obvious staff knew of the shortfalls and had been briefed 'to keep smiling' and not engage with complaints. This long weekend was supposed to be a stress-free break for me organised by my husband and friends after undergoing 2years of cancer treatment. It fell lamentably short and contributed to an extremely frustrating and stressful stay. This was illustrated by the mass exit of guests on the second day, who were given refunds. Warners, you can do better, your other Hotels have proved that you have a good reputation. This Hotel has damaged it, lets hope that it will recover. Change the management.

Heythrop Park . Terrible week end .Should be re-named Faulty Towers .Staff arguing in front of guests. Orders for food took 30 mins and kept missing things off . No hot water most of Saturday and only tepid water next two. Service in Restaurants dire .40 mins for wine to be served half way through meal. Specials missing from menu each day then added to next day . On arrival walk to reception covered in mud and uphill should have realised looked like a building site and that was the view from our window .Room not cleaned until 7.30 pm on Sunday after being told would not be cleaned at all.We should have received a note telling us of the problem but didn't. No management apparent.Any thing wrong no one saying sorry.Buffet food cold ."Yes that is what happens with buffets " Reply. Entertainment poor . Main act very good but the rest poor / amatuer. No introductions and performance times clashed and also with dinner so you could only see 1 act. So entertainment was only 45 minutes a night. What a dissaster . Many people complaining you must have many like this .Staff reported over 100 people left on the Saturday.Lots of people struggling with the App.This is not surprising due to average age of your guests . Given Breakfast time of 9.45 am And was locked out of our room on departure day . Clever idea and great customer service .Expected to clear you room before you can have breakfast. We are just paying the balance for our next in December and if it's as bad as this it will be our last. I will be writing to your Managing Director if I can get his email address which seems to be Top Secret.

I booked a holiday with Warner Leisure Hotels for this coming month. When booking they ask you if you want to cover with payment protection. I have holiday insurance that covers me including covid cover. Sadly I have tested positive for covid. I called Warner to ask them if I could move my booking forward a week so I can isolate for the 5 days although by law I do not have to. Their answer was no. Not due to not having any availability or anything else just simply its not in their terms and conditions. But what is in their terms and conditions is that I can stick to my original booking and arrive even though positive. Well done Warner Leisure, that would be absolutely not the right thing to do, what if you have vulnerable guests staying there? Appalling business morals.

We have had 2 Warner breaks this year, chosen because of our excellent previous experiences before. But I’m sorry to say Warners are not what they were in many respects. Our first stay was at Bembridge where we have been twice before. The accommodation is always lovely and the rooms beautifully kept so that aspect was fine. The disappointment was the menus which are all preprinted so that exactly the same food was offered on day two as day one with two extra uninspiring dishes described as Chef’s Choice. The Asian menu that appeared two days in a row was very mundane - not even as good as from your local take-away! The starters were the same every day, Our next stay was supposed to be at the new Heythrop Park with some friends who had booked for us to go from there to Stratford to the RSC. A week before we were due to go we had letters saying that our rooms were ready but certain facilities would not be ready and, if we proceeded, we would receive a 33% discount. We agreed but, just a few hours before we left home, we were told the holiday was cancelled as the rooms weren’t ready. Since this was part of the Stratford break we wanted to go somewhere so we were offered rooms at Thoresby Hall, putting many miles on our intended journey. As usual the rooms were beautifully kept but we were faced with exactly the same menus as we had at Bembridge but, whereas the restaurant service there was satisfactory, it was appalling at Thoresby Hall. It seemed to be staffed by untrained teenagers who were completely unaware that tables needed clearing and orders taken - they just dreamed about so that the people at the table next to ours gave up after their first course and left without a dessert- their table remained uncleared as we left. There was simply no-one in charge of the dining room. Combine this with the same food once again so our experience was not a happy one. We had become reliant on Warner’s for a place which suited our needs as older people but we will not be returning until Warner’s sack the bean-counters and listen to their clients.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS SHAM COMPANY!!!!!! Grandparents booked a holiday however had to cancel due to ill health and ongoing appointments and investigations. Cancelled and aware they would loose some of the money as per cancellation policy. They were advised to provide a Doctors letter which they have and had to pay a fee for this, however they have now come back and advised it is not good enough and need another note with the key words on “unable to travel for the foreseeable future” Why not tell them this when asking for the original letter and expecting them to try and get another one and pay £20 again for this from the GP. My grandad continues to have investigations and possible awaiting treatment or surgery and this is causing unnecessary stress at an already stressful time!! A very underhand and shameful way to treat an 83 year old to keep their money!! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BOOK WITH WARNER!! You have been warned they will try and steal your money. I will be leaving reviews all over the net and social media warning others. This relates to ticket number 1208141

What on earth has happened to Studley Castle since our last visit in January. Terribly slow service at dinner time and on the last morning at breakfast no service at all, where were all the staff? Dirty tables, coffee cups and wine glasses. We had to ask for water, coffee and tables to be cleared multiple times. We were also ripped off with their new VIP service which consisted of a drinks voucher, a choice of table and VIP service. Well where was the service because we didn't get any basic service let alone VIP, a total waste of money. The stables room was tired with grubby chairs, carpets, cushions, curtains and windows. The mattress was well worn and the shower full of other people's hairs. We spoke to Sean in the restaurant about the lack of service for the VIP experience he sold us but he dismissed our concerns and told us to speak to the duty manager. Unfortunately he wasn't available while we were there. I don't blame the young staff who are overworked, underpaid and untrained. I've read a review from an ex employee who say that since Warner leisure were taken over all the company care about is making money. They don't care about their employee's or customers. At this rate they will run Warners into the ground. On a final note and not surprisingly no reply to my complaint via their complaints form. We had booked Heythrop Park but Warners has changed and gone downhill that much I'm not prepared to give them anymore of our hard earned money so cancelled. We've been going to Warners for years and it's sad to see how much the quality has changed and we aren't the only one's who've noticed. If they don't improve soon their loyal customers will vanish in droves.

Just returned from Heythrop Park hotel. A family weekend break to celebrate a special birthday. Fantastic weather, surroundings and the beginnings of what will surely be Warners flagship when all the facilities are up and running. Due to what I suspect are the usual shortcomings of relying on contractors promises to finish building work on time ,Warners are left with the unhappy task of making apologies for this, however a 33% discount given as a sweetener did help. A stunning location with its grand approach, being a majestic tree lined drive over a mile long. A short walk from the car park with buggy assistance offered for those unable to do, this reveals the splendid architecture of the old mansion with the newer facilities adjoining. Attractively styled the newer parts lead to the old house with its beautifully furnished rooms and its decor with hints of William Morris in its design. Bedrooms are just as you would expect of Warners high standard and would grace most 5 star hotels. When all facilities come on stream it will leave little to be desired. Having said all this, alas I do have to add a negative that hopefully will be addressed before our next visit, and that is in the catering. The stunning restaurants appearance aside, some of the food left room for improvement. May I suggest the hot food being brought up to proper temperature and it’s retention of heat assisted by hot serving plates. Both of these detracted from what could have been a nice meal.which unfortunately ended up only half eaten. Another criticism was a poor rendition of a king prawn curry containing , not the afore mentioned, but tiny shrimps, and an abundance of peas. Not my idea of such a curry.Reference to a good Indian chef for advice would be my suggestion. Oh! and one other suggestion would be fresh bread rolls served with the meal not the reheated ones we were served. That said the desserts were nice and the waiters always polite and friendly. Have to mention yet again ,the outside activities which so many guests opt for, but are frequently disappointed, there not being enough slots provided for all. Despite Warners implying that all activities are available and suggesting that these are booked online with your hotel reservation all to often one is disappointed. This particularly apples to clay pigeon shooting which has to be booked on arrival. First come first served ,which is particularly disappointing as it’s an activity offered to encourage hotel bookings. Despite both positive and negative comments made in this review, it won’t deter our continued breaks at the many Warner hotels we have visited and in the main, enjoyed.

Just returned from Norton Grange 16/09/2022 disapointed as we went in 2021 with Majestic coaches as was impressed . This time we were put in the chalet the fatherist away from main buildig with very poor lightingoutside The outside of the chalet was was dirty and needed a good clean eg widow sills, soft and gutter. Inside was spotless but you needed a set of steps to get in the shower. My wife and I both over 70yrs helped each other in and out of the shower as the bath was so high of the ground. The pillows on the beds had been used so much they were so flat we had to ask for two more. We also found that although the entertainment was good it was far to loud and I mean loud. The group to me seams to be playing music what they liked and also a routine as they keep saying come down and dance but only a few eg 3-4 only would try to dance it was totaly the wrong type of music to dance to with to high a tempo. Food was excelent and so was the cleanlness inside the main building. The staff were also very helpful and kind

Bembridge Coast Dining disaster - queues for buffet - food not replenished - food not hot - only two menus for 5 day stay - 2 days without a waiter - tables too close - this was more like Butlins After 3 days we ate out and accepted a refund This was our first and last Warner’s holiday

After many wonderful breaks at Warner's our last one to Alveston Hall was extremely disappointing. Facilities were OK as usual but the service very poor. We had a Royal Suite together with a VIP Experience. The suite was very nice but poorly serviced - we had to ask for clean towels/tea facilities and our bed to be made up. The VIP Experience was none existent to the point where they agreed and gave us our money back. The poor service I believe was down to lack of manpower. We were informed that staff was down by two thirds. Apparently its under some form of new management - which appear to be failing. Everyone has suffered over the past two years but if Warner's are unable to supply the standard to which I and many others have become accustomed, then costs/business plan/staffing/etc need to be seriously reviewed! We have complained by letter to HQ and email and not had a response! Still waiting.

Just stayed at Alveston Hall for second time since 2019 this is a lovely hotel food is excellent although did notice drop in portion size our rooms in fairview were excellent the entertainment staff are first class excellent soul night couldn't top their entertainment staff. Now for the Negatives Firstly complaint we have is this business of having to put everything you do on your room card awful idea you get a shock at the end spoils the holiday we were told any drinks had to go on the room card but at the end were told we could have paid by card each time. People SHOULD be given the option will not be doing that again even asking for receipts which 9 times out of 10 you never got so couldn't keep track when we mentioned this at the end we were told power's that be want it this way well the powers of be should lusten to what their customers want and lots of orople as did we wanted the option to be offered to us not given a fae accompli.Secondly the Two ladies in the Barn bar deserve a medal they ran the bar the food all by themselves they should be given more staff to help them not fair on them Apart from this excellent stay

Our last evening of our 4 night stay at Littlecote House Wiltshire. Have had a very pleasant and restful time. All the staff have been courteous and helpfull.Entertainment, amenities all great. Our accommodation was very comfortable, the bathroom a little tired,it was situated in nice quiet spot and were able to park the car nearby which was a bonus for my husband. I was however disappointed that the garden’s were not able to be kept in better condition.

Three night stay at Thoresby Hall. Had room in the old hall with lovely views of parkland with white deer and bird life. Fabulous building with many rooms open to guests. Spa and treatments very good. Only let down by evening meals. Main courses inedible with poor quality meat and horrible "thrice cooked chips". Staff working under pressure due to understaffing.

We have just returned home from our 3 night stay at Bodelwyddan Castle. The hotel ,staff were very friendly, our standard room very clean and comfortable, the food was good (could have been a little hotter) the Entertainment was good. Our only complaint was having no waitress service for drinks during the entertainment. This we found very difficult because the lighting is dimmed which made it impossible for my husband to see so I had the job of fetching a drink. Also many people were complaining about the long wait to be served at the bar. Lack of staff seemed to be the problem. I hasten to add we are NOT big drinkers but many people do like a few drinks during the evening. Also you certainly know how to charge for drinks the prices were outrageous.

Boo to warners. After many years of lovely holidays I am soo disappointed with my telephone conversation today. I explained that due to Vivid and now poor health i can no longer take holiday with them. . I cancelled holiday for 2020 due to lock down. Money refunded except for £20. Which they Held for next holiday. I also hold vouchers for this holiday. which apparently are out of date and although they extended them for 6 months. That is still during lockdown so couldn't be used!! Apparently they can't do anything about it because everyone would want refunds. Apparently the £20 deposit is only a gesture of goodwill. Rip off. sooo disappointed in them.

We went to CORTON. I am concerned that the food was good, nice place. Chalet was good.Entertainment...Butlin style. Staff very welcoming and helpful. BUT The HUGE let down is the shower . DO WARNERS THINK ALL LADIES CAN DO A HANDSTAND TO WASH THEIR LADY BITS IN SHOWER! !! There is a fitted shower which cannot be moved. We used bottles to spray water in that area! Come on Warner you letting the side down!!!

Stayed at Studley castle the first time staying at a Warners hotel. I was very impressed with how lovely it was inside with the refurbishment it has gone through. You get a very warm welcome on arrival and everything explained at check in. The hotel grounds and amenities are lovely and kept clean. The rooms are beautifully decorated and with the balcony the view is amazing. we soon got chatting to people . Lovely large walk I shower with fluffy gowns which are great to use in the spa. The cafe area and bar are very spacious. The staff there are very friendly. We were given a table in the restaurant for our 2 night stay and I must say a mention to Jasmine Crane who manages her team of waiter/ waitresses well under busy circumstances. Our waitress Sarah Kennedy served us with a smile and explained everything well nothing was too much trouble if we asked then she helped. It is a very large restaurant to serve so many . The buffet had good choice although I found the food mediocre. The entertainment was good with the resident band. Liked Ami Vasari her voice was amazing. The spa area could do with more loungers as we had to wait to get to use it to relax. All in all I enjoyed my stay here all the staff were lovely and friendly from the manager Graeme to the room attendants. Would stay again.

First time of visiting a Warners, checked in at 15.00 and after the first 15 minutes of problems at reception went to our room and was impressed with it. Hotel was clean, majority of the staff were friendly, nice grounds and entertainment was okay. Entertainment team were brilliant both throughout the day and evening. Motown & 60's night was disappointing but the entertainment teams Queen Rock night was superb. Problem with restaurant on first night made the wife want to pack up and leave at around 19.00 but the Hotel Manager and myself came to an agreement and we did stay and enjoyed ou 4 night break. To Senior Management: Big Bright Signs on either side of drive to hotel to make it easier for guests to find? An email 1 or 2 days before arrival to tell guests to pick up their keys and information from the hut on the left hand side of the driveway? Also in that email explain to guests that that upon entering the restaurant for the first time you "HAVE TO BE ALLOCATED A TABLE" by the restaurant manager!! In spite of this we would go back again.
