Whilst I was ordering a book it went up in price when I had already added it to my basket at the lower price and when I reset the page it remained at the higher price. The next day it dropped to the original lower price. When I emailed your customer services I did not receive an adequate answer to this change in price nor was offered a refund of the price difference. This was my first time shopping and I will be reluctant to do so again.

Order was dispatched 20 days after I paid for it. And I ordered a calendar, not a book, although the emails said "We really hope that you will be pleased with your book and the service we've provided." The order took almost a month to arrive. Totally unacceptable.

Hi Scott - We're a little confused by your review as your order was dispatched 6 working days after ordering and the delivery estimate we gave, when you placed your order, was around 11 working days (Mon-Fri). If the calendar arrived outside of this period, please get in touch with our Customer Services team on help@wordery.com?

The Postman damaged the packaging which resulted in a dent in the cover near the spine. The price label was almost impossible to get off the cover and left a nasty white mark that even a damp cloth would not remove. The book is a keepsake gift for a younger member of the family and is not in the condition one would like to give as a gift. The labels are totally inappropriate for this type of cloth cover and should be kept for gloss covers only

Book Service and delivery excellent but let down by constant unwanted emails afterwards. Sending a stop email has no effect. Do not use this company!!

I had an email to say item would be delivered today, I have been in all day and my order did not arrive. I checked the order tracking and now it says label has been reprinted why exactly does this mean?

I have purchased from Wordery before. But with my latest order I was given a date for delivery. When it did not arrive I asked why it was late and was told that it was due for dispatch in the next few days. After the book eventually arrived I complained about the delay and I was abruptly told that the delay was a problem with the suppliers. I was refused a discount for the delay and inconvenience. I have used Wordery on a number of occasions and most of the time have been very pleased. However, twice now there have been problems with my order. First - it simply never arrived and I had to contact you about this (for which all you did was cancel the order and give a refund). Second, and the most recent order I made - the book arrived battered and marked. I need it for study so can't afford the time wasted to return it. But honestly this is getting a bit tiresome. I would imagine - as someone who has showed loyalty to your company with repeated purchases - that you wouldn't want to lose my custom, but frankly you are getting close to it. Best, Alex Archer

2 out of 3 orders have been problematic. Delayed deliveries. I had to chase them for an explanation of what was going on. My latest order took more than 2 weeks to arrive.

My book arrived in an envelope that was too narrow, resulting in it popping open in transit. The book therefore arrived a little damp and slightly damaged on the corners. I sent some feedback to the company recommending that they use bigger envelopes in the future. However, they totally misread my email as a demand for a refund and said they would only give me one if i sent a page of the book. The book was a gift. I didn't want any money, I just wanted to rectify their mistake but I'm beggining to wish i had asked for a refund!

Hello Raeesa - We have lots of different types of packaging to choose from, we vary the packaging depending on the size, weight and shape of the book being dispatched. We apologise that it wasn't the case for your book. It isn't to late. You can still reply to our customer services team message and asked for a replacement in a better packaging or a full refund.

I found this company very difficult to deal with, my first order was cancelled after being accepted, as apparently the book was advertised at the wrong price, I looked again after cancellation to find it still advertised at the same price so I ordered again, after many emails back and forth the eventually accepted my order as I pointed out they legally had to sell it at the price advertised, I note the book is still advertised at the same price. It is impossible to make contact other than via email, which I found incredibly annoying, if I could actually have talked to a person I am sure the problem would have been sorted much quicker, and I would not have been so frustrated, as the simplest question via email seemed to take forever to actually get a sensible answer, it was as if the person was not actually taking in what I was asking.

Hello Lorna - We are sorry about this mix-up. Our prices fluctuate regularly based on the current market rates. The price is also affected by any stipulations of the online market place where we have the book for sale.

Hello - We're sorry about the delay of your order. Your books were coming from one of our supplier from outside of the UK. They had issues delivering the books to us this is why they have been dispatched to you a bit later than expected.

Ordered 3 items which said were in stock. After ordering was informed of a delay on 2 times. They arrived almost 2 weeks after ordering and had to chase up the third item which arrived almost 3 weeks after ordering.

However, despite the small delay, we still expected them to reach you within the estimate of 5-7 working days (Mon-Fri). Book price average, but delivery was awful. Amazon books next day, wordery two weeks. Not impressed will not use again.

Since you asked, I asked you to remove and delete an email address which your system automatically added to your database, and you refused to move it, refused to add my order to my actual account, sent me a pointless email, and still continue to send me emails nothing to do with my order, despite me unsubscribing from communication three times so far on the email address I asked you to remove. Therefore I am completely unimpressed and wouldn't recommend you to my friends. Let's see if the book turns up by tomorrow, because if does not, you will also have failed on your promise for it to arrive in 4 working days - today is 3 working days so far.

Ordered books in plenty of time for Christmas. Six days after placing order I received an email saying order was unavoidably delayed, this was a week before Christmas, these were Christmas presents. Went online to cancel order as I had found items elsewhere. Received an email saying I couldn't cancel order, only return items when received. In the event the items turned up in time, but this still created unnecessary aggravation at a busy time of year. Poor systems in place and shocking customer service. They then had the nerve to offer me a discount off my next order, I've got news, there won't be a next order!!

I have ordered from you twice now and the first experience was excellent. In the run up to Christmas I made a second order and it took over a week and a half to get here. It was a gift for a friend in work and I ended up having to buy something else. It wont put me off shopping with you as I love the value base behind your company, however I know to be cautious if I need something in a timely fashion.
