Never have anything you need in stock! On the odd occasion they do have the item you require, they only stock the one. Good luck getting another delivered to the store, usually it's unavailable for reservation and when it is available to reserve it will take them 5 days to get off their arses and get one in stock. Absolutely useless!

I have ordered an under counter freezer on the 12th of June 2016, Order number:213750833 . Website stated delivery within 5 days to post code. One month later, no show. I sent an email to Argos to enquire about the order. I was informed that the freezer was not yet delivered due to a "stock delay" and that I will be informed when delivery will take place. Another 2 weeks on (6 weeks later in total), and I am still waiting. Yet, when you go on the website it states that the freezer is in stock and delivery is still stated as "within 5 days" to the post code I need it delivered to. Disappointing, Unacceptable customer service.

Ordered and paid extra for next day delivery for a Layzspa hot tub. Waited in all day only to get a call mid afternoon to say it would be another week. Shambolic service - go elsewhere,

I fast track ordered two tower fans the night before the anticipated 'hottest day of the year' in July and received an email saying delivery would be between 7am-8pm the following day. At 8:15pm I phoned customer services to find out why they had not been delivered. CS closed at 8pm! Clever timing that! The automated voicemail found my order and stated that they were still expecting to deliver that day. By 10pm with heat not diminishing I wrote an email to Argos asking why they had not been delivered when the order had been fast tracked. At midnight gave up and went to bed. Phoned following day, was passed along, hung up on and generally messed about, until a very nice lady kindly told me that there had been 24hr delays the previous day and I should have received a text. I hadn't of course. She reorganised the delivery to between 4:30-8:00pm that day as nobody would be in before that. When going home I found a card to say that the goods had been left at 2pm and were with a neighbour! Grateful to have received them at last, but why can't they deliver on their promises, or at least have the courtesy to contact you if they cannot! Email never answered.

Finally goods turned up Monday 18th afternoon, but delivery instructions ignored and nearly missed driver who parked not where suggested on del instrucions-anyway goods arrived but one item missing out of stock!Bad service-should not promise delivery when not possible-and special delivery instrucions ignored-plus have to specify if you dont want argos to deliver to neighbour-they dont tell you that on order form-MANSFIELD-NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

It is more a case of what went right ! Purchased a Fitbit Surge watch/activity watch from Argos in Clitheroe,no instructions other than to go online for them which is nothing new nowadays. Followed the instructions for charging and basic setup, then placed watch on wrist as per instructions and within a few hours I felt to constant need to scratch my wrist beneath the watch, took the device off for a while and tried again, same result. Tried again the next day, just the same...the watch gives me the need to scratch beneath it. Again,I tried whilst outside driving and the same result. At the next opportunity I took the watch back to Argos and was told because I had charged the watch and placed it on my wrist that they would not refund as it was now used as it had been charged and on my wrist !! Also that I should have worn the watch without charging or setting up...nowhere in the instructions online is this suggested.Apparently as it has been charged, they cannot sell it again ! should that really be the issue here? They referred me to customer services and I am told just the same...also they cannot give me a customer service number for Fitbit and just said to get online and take the matter up with Fitbit...how can this be called 'customer services' I find this a very shortsighted of customer retention for the sake of £160-00...I could have spent that in store should a credit have been offered. Well....they have lost a customer for the future for sure, how could I ever have the confidence to buy from Argos again with the knowledge that there is zero support. I hope this serves as a warning to others with reference to Argos and Fitbit.

i went to place an order but couldn't find its correct name or on screen i explained to the young lady working there she knew what i wanted but couldn't find it either i told her it was in the disability section but no such section mobility section was what i wanted she 1 st told me that the item i wanted was no longer sold and when i said id purchased a handy reacher only a month ago she then told me it wouldn't be in stock i got home and found the item in stock and ready for click and collect bascically she and her friend rushed me out of shop as it was 15 mins before closing and suspect they wanted to get home early instead pf helping me its more of a big deal being that I'm disabled and in a great deal of pain walking i think its disgaceful and the fact that no one has even bothered to reply to my email shows they really couldn't careless

Ordered a bed which i needed urgently as i had company arriving so chose Argos as they delivered within less than 24 hrs of ordering online Pretty Good you might think but oh no on arrival and unpacking the bed was in a pretty bad state loose panels plenty of chips and grooves i personally think a 2 year old could have made a better job of making one Ok Argos only supplied but on telephoning customer service was told could not collect for 2 weeks at earliest and it would be 5 working days after that so nearly 3 weeks in all before i get refund back so in the meantime no bed and no money to buy a new one its ammazing how they can have one delivered to me in less than 24 hrs and take money out my account for unfit goods Would never ever purchace from them again or would not reccomend

I have been others customers for so many years. I had a very bad experience with Argos split payment between Argos card and Master card. I did not receive any refund on my Master card because of the said they've refunded everything that but I did not receive anything I will never ever use this service again.

Ordered 2 x 'Me to You' sets for a cat that were supposed to include cat bowl, food mat and canister. The boxes that I received in store (Stratford, Stratford Centre) stated that I was receiving the item that I ordered. Get it home and open it and it is 2 sets for a dog. Now as much as I would love to own a dog, I do not. My partner and I have 2 cats. Sure, they can't read and probably wouldn't care, but that isn't really the point, is it. As this is sequential orders that have been mucked up (whether due to their fault or the fault of Pet Brands), I am once again having to waste time returning items for replacement or refund. Argos, I'm getting this one sorted and then I am done with you!

I ordered two items on the 31st May and arranged for delivery on the 4th of July at the time of 6pm-9pm I received a call early that morning to say I would get a call 1 hour before they were to deliver, no call an my items did not arrive!? I then rang the call centre at 8am the next morning on 5th July an spoke to a lady stating my problem she said there was a problem with the driver and he was unable to deliver, but assured me that I would have my packages by 12 noon that day. When I rang to see when it was coming so I could arrange a new number too be contacted on and for someone to come down to wait in my house as I was working she said it all out on the van so should be there at any time now, when i rang yet again to see where it was up too they had rang my house even though as I was led to believe they knew I wasn't in, they rang anyway an then attempted to deliver the packages!? When not getting any answer (which the wouldn't have as I was WORKING!) took the packages back an signed them off as a cancelled delivery!!????? And allocated them to someone else!! as I found out after 4 phone calls and 5 different people I have spoken too by the 6th call I had lost all hope and nearly my mind as I got told that one of my items was out of stock? I don't know how when it was to be delivered the day before, so now I have came to the conclusion that my packages were never on the van and it's been one big run around and a total waste of my day and time. I made my final call and by then I just wanted to finish it all so claimed my money back I am unbelievably disappointed in every area this has been handled and will therefore never shop online or in store again. I ordered 5 packs of deck tiles. After a ridiculous experience of ordering, the web indicated the collection date. I had confirmation emails that contradicted each other, all sorts of amounts detailed as paid. I called and asked for clarification but came off the call more confused. I went to the store and still have no idea what is going on. But have ended up with a "gift card". I now await the payments and credits to go through my bank to check what I have been charged and recredited. DONT ORDER AND PAY. I'd only click and collect in future if I HAD to purchase from the store.

bought a 55invh TV which I hired a van to collect. Took it home and there was a clicking noise. Argos customer service told me to return it back to the store where they would replace. Other retailers would have repaired or replaced the item at your home. Argos don't offer this service which is shame because buying large items from them becomes to high of a risk considering that most Argos stores are deep inside town centres where car parks are quite far.

Awful awful customer service. Purchased a sofa in September 2015, the cushions have now gone soft and thin, despite "dressing" them every day. The worse part of the sofa was that underneath there is a foot missing and all that is left behind is a bent thick screw, the sharp bit has been exposed and scratched our engineered wood floor. This sofa hasn't been moved since it was delivered, but I decided to clean behind it a couple of days ago and that's when I discovered the problem. Contacted Argos who arranged for an Engineer to come out and he has reported back to Argos to tell them it's not a Manufacturer defect. How is it not a Manufacturer defect? There is a major part missing! And we have the proof and the bent screw. Going to have to go through more channels to get this resolved.

ref;15703834 I purchased a patio set 2 yrs ago, the description stated it was weather resistant, can be left outside all year, made from steel with ED coating and Rust Resistant. The patio set has now rust appearing all over as the coating is peeling off. I have sent 2 letters with photos of the rust stating I do not expect a full refund but some payment I can use towards another patio set as this is clearly a manufacturing defect. Your reply was I should get a written report from a qualified professional related to the product. I have tried several garden centres even a metallurgist and guess what, nobody will do this. I am very disappointed with Argos a brand I use a lot. John Alley

Staff have no brain and awful customer service. Went Argos gallows corner, bought a steriliser. Lady serving says would you like to add bottles to that for £16. I replied are they the black ones? She replied the computer doesn't say, I asked what size are they? Her response, it doesn't say. I then said does it say the size of them, to which you can guess her saying, the computer doesn't say! I then said any chance you can find out? Her reply, no one will know any different! My response was, well I guess il say no to the bottles then thank you very much! Absolute joke!
