Bought a bed and draws to go under bed. Argos delivered two different beds. Turned out they had discontinued the draws so I returned item. Customer service were fine but number is an 0345 number so cost the customer and they keep you waiting and paying. Then Argos had a second computer error and did not turn up in allocated time slot for beds. Driver refused to turned back to pickup. Argos refused to refund money till beds were picked up....so daughter had to sleep on floor whilst we waited for Argos to eventually reorganize a pickup. So three evenings spent waiting for Argos and in the end no bed!!! Argos customer service reply to this is sorry but tough. Great customer service Argos.....will not be using them again EVER!!!!

Faulty mobile phone bought from Argos and after 20 days wanted to exchange. I need it for work and had already lost money due to the faulty G5 also purchased from Argos. Changed Motorola's three times with Argos due to faults and decided to abandoned the brand as the handsets were too unreliable. Couldn't afford to delay as needed a phone immediately for work. Rang customer services, first lady was totally unhelpful. I asked her if I went in store to exchange/refund which is my right under consumer law and the store refused to do it - which happened before - could I call them to back me up. She told me the store had the authority to either help me or not and it was up to them. Utterly useless. I pushed the point politely and eventually she got it, but I think she was promoted by someone else to agree. That's what it sounded like. Rang again spoke to another person who continually interrupted me and refused to let finish what I was saying. When I tried to explain he then accused me of interrupting him! When I confirmed I understood that I needed to call Motorola and would do so he then tells me if I go into store with out the reference number....... I've just agreed to call them, but to prolong the lack of progress he goes back to a point already resolved to be patronising. He tells me he is reiterating the point. No, your being patronising and argumentative. He was so rude and I could tell he really didn't like his job or was just an unhappy individual and brought that to the work place to inflict on customers. Great, what a fabulous personality type for dealing with the public! NOT. Rang back to make a complaint and got the same awful guy again. Yes, he continually interrupted me again and I just told him that I couldn't talk to him because of his constant interruption and ended the call. The standards of customer service in the UK is dreadful. Just got back from the USA and it was like a different world. People don't see serving the public in any way as beneath them, but in this country they do and that's the problem. They want to feel like they are superior to you and choose to be rude because it's a way of devaluing the personal on the other end of the phone. The message they convey is that I don't respect you and will treat you accordingly. The narcissist in the call centre. Lol they're everywhere 😨 Motorola told me that they do not do diagnostics or ask for phones to be sent to them as it effects the customer's consumer rights due to the time delay. They told me that I should return it for an exchange or refund and that was my right under the law. Thank you Motorola for being straight with me. Argos stop misleading consumers with regards to their consumer rights or weed out these individuals from your team because they are making your brand look seriously untrustworthy. I would seriously think twice after this experience going to Argos again for anything electrical including a mobile phone!

When I was making an order and tried to change the pick-up address the system told me it was broken so I could not change it. So I completed the order with the offered address assuming I would be able to call the Customer Service and change it there. I then tried both Customer service Chat and their hotline, but both said they could NOT change it given the address I wanted was even the same Road in London, just closer to my place! They could not even extend the pick-up dates! But then what is the Customer service for if not to be able to amend something that cannot be done automatically due to the failure of theit own system? Terrible service and attitude to customers'requests. Very unprofessional.

Disgusting service, I emptied my fridge freezer ready for my delivery, only to discover it had been rebooked, however no one informed me of this. I’ve wasted a day off and £50 of food, also I have to wait 24 hours for a confirmation of a new delivery date, possibly in 8 days 😡 I feel furious. No compensation has been offered for a wasted day off or the wasted food. Extremely poor service

- Prices are cheap because some items are not of good quality - Wouldn't refund me on a return as they stated that I did not return the items when I DID, even after I gave them proof of delivery - Customer services are a bit lacking.

Argos are without a doubt the worst company to deal with. Their delivery service is appalling. Then when you attempt to rectify the situation you are offered a ‘live chat’ with what is an automated computer. I would never shop with them again and I’m so surprised given this level of customer service they are still trading.

Horrible returns policy Horrible returns policy. I bought an air cooler which was not doing a good job. Tried to return to a store but they didn't accept it saying that the product is used. The term used means that it is been plugged in once which I don't understand. Called customer care on the first first instance the guys told I can return it with no hassle and asked me to go to store and give them a call. Once in shop, I called the customer care speaking to a different agent he told it is upto the discretion of the store owner. When I said that the previous agent had told I can take it to store, he was reluctant and said the other guy was wrong and left me embarrassed in front of the complete store and felt foolish. When I speak to a customer care agent, means I'm speaking to argos representative and it cannot be that each person can have different views. Never had this experience and to be honest, Amazon is the best in terms of returns and I'm never ever going to buy a single thing from Argos. If argos does not want to work like other ecommerces, they better stick on to their traditional brick and mortar shops and at some point close down (which I think will eventually happen).

Good question would be easier to ask what didn't go wrong I ordered a washing machine was told it would be delivered on wed 14th August between 07.00. And 13.00. it got to 14.30. I rang argos was told shouldn't have been told that time but everything was running to time and it would Definitely be there by 15.20. But no it eventually arrived at 16.30 now I had waited all day for this and had to go shopping so off I went but 2 mins later the 2 burly delivery guys had come back to my house my 15 year old daughter answered they said is your Mum there she said no so they grabbed the washing machine my daughter asked them what they were doing they said we need to redeliver it later my daughter rang my Dad and told him he got straight on phone to argos lady said she would find out what had happened and ring him back in 2 minutes 45 minutes later no reply so rang again was put through from 1 dept to another and just got fobbed off so rang again and was told putting you through to argos fraud department I was put on hold for 1 hour 20 minutes I even involved the police at this time it was not until the next day that I actually found out they had delivered someone else's item and mine was left at depot so why couldn't someone have told me this when it happened it would have saved my 15 year old daughter being so upset thinking someone had stolen my washing machine and also would have saved 3 and half hours on his mobile phone God knows how much that cost so when it was all clarified the next day the lies from argos still didn't stop as I was told by agent had been offered £35 by way of compensation but she said to me with all the money it would have cost in phone calls and the upset caused to my daughter who may I remind you is a minor at 15 years old so if I would ring after item was delivered on new delivery date of Saturday 17th August that they would sort out an appropriate compensation solution as £35 was not good enough in her opinion so when I rang again was offered £32 which quickly changed to £35 so once again more lies from argos they just keep on coming everytime you ring them

I ordered a camera from Argos. I picked up the order from a drop off at Sainsburys and took it home. The item in the box had been replaced with a cheap USB charger of similar size and weight and the box had been sealed up. I rang up Argos and they wanted nothing to do with it. Absolutely disgusting customer service and a fraudulent transaction they want to wash their hands of. Either they don't check their returns or they have thieves somewhere in the distribution system. Either way it's not great. And if something goes wrong they will do nothing to help you. Argos will never again get a penny from me. Save yourself from a similar experience.

We ordered a washing machine from Argos on the 27th July for delivery on the 8th August (morning slot 8am-12), we received 2 messages the day before confirming delivery and 1 on the morning at 7am. My husband is self employed to cancelled work to stay at home for the delivery. 8am we received a text to say that you were not delivering our washing machine and a new order had been raised to deliver it on the 20th August. Why does Argos think it's acceptable to inform us that the order has been cancelled on the delivery date/time? Why does Argos think it's acceptable to leave someone without a washing machine for (almost) a whole month? My husband has lost wages as a result and I still have a mountain of washing - my elderly, ill father lives with me so I need a washing machine and it's been a struggle to manage without between 27th July to the 8th August, let alone having to wait until the 20th August. I was then given a 'new' delivery order number - why? Was it to meet a delivery target that was never going to be met? Totally dreadful service. I have cancelled the order and placed one through Curry's who are going to deliver within 48 hours - something I should have done on the 27th July. I suggest everyone does the same

Beware when you use Argos store card . The 2, retail n card services do not talk to each other . Consequently Argos takes no responsibility. this has resulted in for an error they made which has cost me deathly. I Will never use them again. Their complaints process does not put the customer at the heart of their decision. Robotic decision making

All the entries regarding this company's open support of lgbt have vanished. No surprise there then. That's lesbians homosexuals etc etc. There was one entry asking why Argos did not put a notice in their store windows alongside the lgbt one supporting the rest of us who are normal. I'm sure I am not the only one who will not be shopping with them because of this.

The worst service I have ever had. The staff at Hawick were rude particularly the manager. They were no name tags so it may not have been. Return procedure is a joke.

Ordered delivery for between 7-10 am. No delivery and no contact from Argos as to why. Not able to track on website so phoned given number. 20 minutes of holding and then cut off. Tried live chat and continually states mine will be answered in around 15 minutes. It would be helpful if Argus can at leat text or email to say they won’t be delivering

Online service is shocking. Took money for ordered item from two stores at the same time, one 300 miles away. Customer service help was useless. Still haven’t received my money back from one of the stores. Never , ever on line again. Live chat, forget it.
