argos is a disgrace ordered a table and chairs set stating that the set normal retail price was £649 It was in a flash 1 week sale and had something like 70/ off £229 then they advertised a code at check in for another 20/ off so we paid £188 for a six hundred pound set and that was all delivered . What a bargain so we thought . We were over the moon at the buy we had .it was delivered Thursday I noticed the box said Penley design and it didn't ring a bell I knew the one we ordered was called Elmwood so when I looked it up online the Penley set was only £199 not exactly the 6 hundred pounds worth we thought . Telephoned them and they said it was correct and the Penley table was part of the set we ordered a cheap nasty set that with 2 kids and pets would last 2 weeks probably horrible and is now going back but we have to wait about a week for it to be collected and then a further 5 days for refund a joke and would never use this company again . Disgusting sales tactics

Ordered electric cooker to replace broken one phoned order 17 th October was on express del told in stock but will not del till 29 th October Mostly order from argus not any more Worst company to deal with

Ordered Dyson vacuum cleaner Saturday morning - they confirmed delivery 2 - 6pm same day - didn't turn up tried phoning customer services after 6pm tried 8 times hanging on up to 20 minutes to speak to some one - phoned following day eventually got through - surprise surprise computer went down on Saturday at Hempstead Valley but would deliver Sunday morning and they did label on box clearly showed the agreed delivery slot for Saturday so we wasted 4 hours waiting for them to turn up Saturday at least an hour on the phone to customer services - we wont be wasting our time using Argos again

Ordered 2 beds for my children 1st delivery was supposed to be 2nd oct they cancelled that to 9th which was then changed to 9th and now 16th oct . its 5.40 pm and I'm holding on the phone for 30 mins so far waiting to find out where they are . My boys have been sleeping on the floor for the past 14 nights

Ordered a sofa bed on line for my son who has recently moved into his first home, order went through ok but still waiting for email to confirm order. Ordered Mon morning 9.30 STILL WAITING Spent 2 hours on phone today only to be told to wait for confirmation email even though the bank says transaction confirmed. They have no record of my order how does that happen. ?Not only that we paid an extra £20 for delivery. Shower of s --t will never buy anything from Argos again.

I will never order anything from argos again and advise anybody else who needs to take time off work for a delivery not to as the item wont arrive that day as planned.argos customer service are rude and arrogant and tell you that you will have to wait 12 days for your money back or wait disgusting !!!!!

The delivery was excellent,but the £10 gift card I received for purchasing an item for £100+ was a joke,firstly I had to use it within 1 month,then i had to pay another delivery charge for using it online shopping only,and I could not go and use it in my local store, phoned customer services and she was rude,never buy anything from Argos again.

My complaint is not so much against the service with Argos but the actual products. I have purchased quite a few large items e.g. bed, mattress, sliding doors etc and I have to say all rubbish quality. Argos did try to offer me some vouchers I informed them that I still would never purchase from them again. Needless to say there was no vouchers forthcoming., what would be the purpose. I have just purchased 3 Freesat boxes at a cost of £500 plus pounds, normally I would have gone through Argos, but as said no more and purchased elsewhere.

Nightmare trying to order online, 24 hours delivery?! More like delivery if lucky. Customer service is difficult to contact, and once you get through, their system does not work. The customer service just told me 'well there is an error'....after three days, the matter is still not resolved, but I anticipate a number of hours of work trying to get my money back.

Ordered online using fast track. Waited 3 days came to collect wasn't there, they had no idea why but said it was never going to arrive. So the reorder the item which would be delivered to store for collection on Friday. Went to collect on Friday package not been delivered was told to come back on Saturday. Came back on Saturday to be told item had been canceled. No explination as to why. I'm still waiting for my refund for the fast track item which was canceled over a week ago now. Appalling service from nowon if it Ian in stock at Argos I will go else where.

This company is an absolute nightmare to try to contact. Website is really poor. Placed 2 orders which appeared to be accepted.Then minutes later received cancellation without any explanation. Trying to contact by e-mail,my preferred choice is about impossible. really rubbish service,

We bought some shelves recently and we started building away before we realized that a main part was missing. Called several times already waiting 20 minutes at a time and still no pick up. Getting very annoyed at the terrible service this company provides. Prices really are not that goo and staff are just rude and grumpy. Wont ever use argos again after this. Disgusted!

The women that work at Hammersmith have always be bad at their jobs which is why I stop going there and buy else where but today I wanted to return a faulty camera to be told no and took my receipt and write refuse refund. This is the worse service I ever got I am glad I stop my company and friends and family from buying from the three low life woman at the branch

I am an international student going to Uni, I had arrived with practically nothing. Being new, I had never really heard of Argos, what I did here was that they were reasonable priced. With me being a student, it was all I needed to get me to order. I spent hours looking through their maze of a catalog, before placing my order. From bedding to kitchen items, I had spent a lot of time and money that day with Argos. I had chosen to have the items delivered the next morning, just before my first class. Only problem was they never came. I thought there must be traffic or an error in their system. I waited and waited, still nothing. I decided to give their costumer service a call and I got in touch with a nice representative that apologized, their system had crashed and assured me the items would arrive the next morning. Fast forward three days later and still no sign of my things. I had been calling back every single day wanting answers for my ordered items? Instead all I got were representatives passing me along to another person who would tell me the same thing "I apologize our system had crashed today but the items will arrive tomorrow." The weekend had finally come and I was fed up, when I called, again, I demanded to speak with a manager. Instead of passing me along the representative asked me "Why?" in a rather rude way. I had to argue with her in order to get through to the manager, and when I did he waved my delivery service charge and told me my items would arrive the next morning. As I was about to ask what I should do in the case my items never arrive, and he hung up on me. In the middle of the conversation just hung up on me? I had called back to ask again and I was told if my items still don't arrive I have to call and re-make my order. See this is the frustrating part, I had being doing just that every single day, and still no arrival. I had to call wait three hours on hold just to be told the same old story on how their system had unexpectedly crashed that day and that my items would arrive tomorrow. Here I am a new international student, with no bed, or pots to cook in, and on the verge of having a break down because all I wanted were my items that I have paid a lot of money for, yet Argos couldn't even be bothered with answering a simple question. Now it has been over a week since I ordered my items and they still haven't arrived. I ended up going back into the store and demanding where my stuff was, turns out they had sent my package somewhere else and were out of stock of all my items. They wanted my to re-order every single thing, and on top of that they weren't even the items that I even wanted! In the ended I demanded a refund, which I am still waiting for...I feel used, abused and so frustrated with Argos. I will never shop here ever again. They lie, are disorganized and rude. Instead of telling me they had messed up my order they kept lying to me and passing me along from rep to rep. Never once was I contacted to let me know there was an error with my order, the representatives just kept playing dumb. I urge and plea that people do not waste their time and hard earned money at Argos. Never will I order or recommend Argos, it was truly hell.

Blackout blinds are impossible to fit as metal requires cutting to size and plastic inserts break even when attempting to reinsert them. I purchased a hacksaw to customise the lengths for various sizes of windows unaware of the fragility of the cheap and plastic inserts which break very easily. I will not buy from Argos again.

We bought a floor lamp and a large rug for our living room. Absolutely shocking quality. The rug had different coloured cotton sewn into it and was bold in some places. Very very poor. Iv seen better quality used door mats. The lamp was chipped, had a shabby finish and a marked lamp shade. I'm disgusted and at £40 a piece I'm furious. I will be returning both items tomorrow and demanding a full refund and will not be shopping at Argos again!!

Will never use Argos again! Ordered new washing machine. It arrived dented, scratched, cracked and had rust inside the drum. Arranged for new one to be delivered two days later, but it didn't arrive. Called Argos again to be told it was cancelled due to staffing issues so wouldn't be able to get it for another three days! We told them this wasn't good enough so to refund us and arrange collection. We went to currys and got one delivered the following day. Eight days from receiving a damaged washing machine I still haven't actually received a refund and I've had to move the damaged machine to the garden as I need the space to do things like look after a family and keep a clean and safe house for a toddler. I dread to think how much it has cost me in calls to the non existent customer service that keeps you on hold for 50 minutes a time before you even speak to anyone. The £10 gift card good will gesture has been returned to Argos!

I ordered a Freeview box on Tuesday 22/09 on line and was surprised to be offered the same day delivery!! Payed and booked a slot for between 7 - 10 and duly waited!! NOTHING! No phone call no communication nothing! Rang first thing Wednesday 23/09 to ask what had happened and didn't even get so much as a sorry! Reluctantly arranged a delivery later yesterday between 2-6 stressing could they please leave with a neighbour. I was assured that this would be implemented! This is a gift for my grandmother and as I was seeing her yesterday thought in the end all is ok! NO! It was not! Got a text informing me the delivery could not be made so could i ring to rearrange within 7 days!!! Upon receiving the txt I rang the number supplied and held on for 25 MINUTES for someone in Liverpool!! She, finally, tried to find out what had happened and would ring me back! She did! She informed me what I already knew, could not deliver as there was no answer!! There are 15 other flats in my building hence please leave with a neighbour!! Unbelievable service an apology would have gone some way! You would think that with so many on line companies who treat you with a bit of respect in these current times, ARGOS would want to do the same as they are a more localised company and are obviously trying to up their gain??? Judging by other comments they need to do a lot more!! Whats the betting I get no reply from this, what do they care?? Amazon here I come!!

Worked at Argos for 6 months, such a disorganized company, rude colleagues and lazy, orders never on time. Avoid shopping or working at argos at all costs

Abselutely appalling!!!! Ordered 4 items from argos 2 weeks ago, i then recieved one of the items a few days later, i then had to email them to ask about the other products because i was on hold for about at hour!! they then had to resend the items i did not recieve. a few days later 2 more items were delivered. i was getting angry at this point that i had wasted my time spending days in the house waiting for this order! i then had to phone them again about the last item i did not recieve, little did i know that this item was out of stock, the woman on the phone told me i would have to phone back a week later to re order it, which i did. the item should have been delivered yesterday, but yet again no sign of it. i then realised that i had been charged twice for this item. having to phone them again they explained that the item was still out of stock. i then requested a refund. little did they know that my daughter would not be able to revcieve her present she wanted for her birthday, so now have to let her down again. thanks alot argos. i will never be ordering from your website again!!!!
