Horrific service no answer on chat or phone my parcel has still not arrived after paying an extortionate amount for delivery

Yodel have tried to deliver my parcel on 5 occasions, but courier consistently went to an incorrect address. On one occasion I even had the courier contact me by phone at which point I verbally and by text gave him very detailed directions to my house which he ignored. I then asked him to take the parcel to my local parcel shop which he said he would, then didn’t. I was then told I’d have no choice but to collect from depot over an hour away, but this would be a wasted journey since all the calling cards would have been left at incorrect address, and anyway it is unfair to expect me to go out of my way to collect this, since it’s their failure to deliver correctly or follow my requests that meant it wasn’t simply left in my safeplace or local parcel shop. The “CEO complaints” service took a month in “investigating” this for me but usually just asked more information which I’d already provided, which then gave them another 48 hours (often longer) before their next reply. Then they just copy and paste standard replies that don’t address the real issue, or parrot what I can already see from the tracking info myself. I asked the agent I spoke to again and again for the parcel to be sent out again, instructing courier on the correct address (what3words code and detailed directions have been provided in the app from the start so have been available to them all along). This has dragged on for a month and now the parcel has been returned to the sender in China and they’re telling me to ask them for a refund - claiming this has “resolved” my issue. Truly laughable but infuriating at the same time. Don’t bother with the live chat (they are a call centre in India that just copy and paste irrelevant responses) and the phone number on the Yodel website under their big headline of “talk to a human” is even more of a joke as I’ve tried every single option and not a single thing you do puts you through to a live agent. Yodel should be ASHAMED for treating their customers in this way. From now on I will request before every single one of my online purchases that Yodel is NOT used for delivery, and will certainly never post anything with them myself as they are a bunch of incompetents.

I'm a OAP and was trying to sort out my parcel to be delivered to a friend. I was on your chat for 1h 20 trying to sort it out and was cut off for no reason

Absolutely shocking firm. They offer store pick up ooptions on their site that they cannot even deliver to, and then once you have asked for the store pick up option, and when they put in their system that they cant deliver there (they dont actually tell you), you then cant contact them via any of the listed mediums. The 'Live Chat' requests, they just leave unattended until the broswer resets to a new session, and do not ever respond. Have had multiple chat requests open and waiting for hours with no response. The telephone number is just an automated robot with no actual assistance able to be offered. Awful business, non-existant service, would never use through choice and would avoid in any future options, wherever possible!!

I was very annoyed with my delivery person. He was rude and told me over the intercom to hurry up because he was parked on a double yellow line, then left my parcel downstairs in the communal area for anyone to take

Can’t speak to a human being. Chat line doesn’t work. Have my parcel at a Hub for me to collect 20 miles away after trying to deliver 3 times to wrong address. Just ignore every attempt I make to contact them to give them instructions on how to find me. Not the first time this has happened. Evri regularly deliver to me next day.

Frustrating service kept me waiting for three days for a parcel that they never delivered. I was sitting in my house the whole time they kept saying sorry we missed you, no buzzer or calling card all lies the driver didn't turn up at all. Avoid them at all cost.

Parcel is late. Had my parcel since the 1st Dec now the 5th still not delivered l. Live chat not working. When I rang to try to speak to an actual person just got a robot! This company is a joke. Can't believe businesses are still using Yodel.

"An incredibly frustrating experience with Yodel. What should have been a simple delivery has wasted my entire day. I received an email saying: 'We're really sorry but we were unable to deliver your Vinted order to your chosen Yodel Store.' Instead, they've sent it to a store in a town an hour away from where I live—despite me living in a major city with plenty of accessible delivery points. This is unacceptable. I managed to get through to customer service yesterday, and they assured me they'd notify the team to redirect the parcel to my originally chosen store and that I would receive confirmation. However, today there's been no update, and I can't even get through to customer service anymore. I've tried everything: • Contacting their complaints email. • Calling the store that supposedly has the parcel (they don't). • Checking the original assigned store (no sign of it). This level of service is beyond disappointing. Yodel's lack of communication and accountability has been a complete letdown. I will not be using this company again."

I have tried to contact live chat 3 times today but unable to get through last time i waited over 10 minutes all I got was can't type anything yet absolutely disgusted with YODEL

Most useless company I've had the misfortune to deal with, my parcel was actually delivered on time, the driver tried to force a 2in thick parcel through a 1in letterbox resulting in damage to the door, driver ran away to his car and drove off when I confronted him, sent videos and pictures of the damage, just fobbed off by their customer service

This is 2nd bad review Ive given in 3 days. Yodel are the most despicable and least customer friendly company Ive ever dealt with. My parcel arrived at depot on Wed 27 Nov, I asked if it could be delivered on 29/11. At 15.51pm on 29/11 my parcel's journey was updated to awaiting on available driver and there it has stayed with no further update. Ive tried web chat 10 times now, which is next to useless, as all they do is give you same information and phone number is automated where you cant speak to anyone. Ive been in touch with the seller of my parcel and they are getting no way either. It is so frustrating. Following on from my last review, Yodel replied asking for info, which I supplied and said would be in touch within 48 hours and you've guessed it, Im still waiting. Im now at the end of my tether and no idea what to do aaarrggghhh!!

Ordered of amazon had message off yodel to say tried to deliver 3rd Dec 24 but was unable to and now on hold what the hell is going on was home all day , no delivery made was not due till 5th Dec, no note pushed through door not had any problems with any other courier so what is your company playing at so angry ,I have enough going on without having to try and track a parcel , went on line to try and sort it to no avail I have tracking number but that is not helping at all , your drivers need to sort themselves out as it is giving your company a bad name , and looking at the reviews I am not the first to be going through this its disgusting I have seen your nice new vans around makes me wonder how u get any customers .

You only learn about a company when things go wrong I would not recommend Yodel, a cowboy company. Ordered item. Told delivery would be 30th Nov, no delivery - Yodel had cheek to say delivery attempted, despite me sitting in all day waiting and monitoring their app which showed the van skirting my road several times from the 'estimated' delivery time of 2pm before they posted their 'apology' for missing me!? asking me to reschedule. Re-scheduled for second delivery 2nd Dec, no delivery, then third delivery 3rd Dec, again no delivery. Complained to company who sent item and asked to cancel and refund so I can go elsewhere. Their reply? I would have to wait until item returned by Yodel? If they can't deliver to me how are they to return item? Yodel are a despicable company. My guess is Yodel have damaged or lost item, would explain why they didn't attempt delivery. Bear this in mind before ordering from any company using Yodel. Their site makes it impossible to contact Yodel direct, poor despicable company. Avoid at all costs, poorest courier by far!

Dear Yodel, Dealing with your company has been one of the single most frustrating tasks I have experience in at least the last decade. I am currently trying to find out exactly when the company might deign to deliver two of my orders that are currently trapped in the Yodel void. Originally, there were 3, but I gave up on one and asked the seller for a refund, which they kindly facilitated, even though it was not their fault, but YOURS. Both of the other items were promptly dispatched by the seller, one over a month ago, but are now trapped, languishing in a depot with nothing but an occasional update on the app, reminding me that the hopeless situation remains unchanged. Where are these items? When are they going to arrive? Why can't I speak to a human when I call? Why does no one respond on the online chat? This is the exact opposite and inverse of what customer services should look like. I can only assume the company is structured in this way is because it is groaning under the weight of complaints from people just like me, who want their things, who are out of pocket and who are being treated with total disdain. If you put as much effort into delivering people's items as you do into preventing consumers from being able to communicate with you, you'd be amongst the greatest companies on earth. As it stands, Yodel is a void of misery where parcels and customer services go to die. What is the matter Yodel? It's simply not good enough and you know it and you're not even willing to be held accountable. SORT IT OUT! With no regards whatsoever, KB
