The umber hulk is such an iconic DnD monster that I had to paint one. Its a little hunched but soaking in hot water got it flexible enough to bend more upright, then cold water while holding it to freeze back. I used army warpaints’ monster brown as a base, flesh wash and strong tone wash, and dry-brushed daemonic yellow. I also used daemonic yellow base for the jaws and claws with rust for highlights there. The eyes used moon dust with water so the slits would stand out. I’m very pleased with how it came out. :)
