The cottage has been newly refurbished and is beautiful. It was well equipped and had a log burner stove with a good supply of wood left for us. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Its really well insulated so never cold. Great internet and nice views all round of the hills, although you do need to drive to access the paths/walks. Bit tricky to find: the turning is unmarked and only limited directions were provided so check the location on a map! Lots of parking space and an electric charger which is a boon. Although quite near the main road it is very quiet: only an owl disturbed our peace. It is next to a working farm so expect tractors and the like. Probably a not location for small children to be left alone though: the river is close and unprotected as well as the farm equipment moving about.
