This is an ideal holiday home for the larger family (or two smaller families), as it has the benefit of having two separate/adjoining cottages which give the opportunity to have private, family space, but still feels like one large house! The interior is immaculate and has been very tastefully decorated, making it a lovely place to relax (particularly on a rainy day, when there are lots of books, DVDs and games to keep everyone entertained).) The cottages are located on a working farm, so we really felt we'd had an 'Escape To The Country' experience! However, if you want to explore the area further, the nearest town (Kendal) is only a short drive away, as is the beautiful town of Bowness-On-Windermere. I would definitely recommend a boat trip on Lake Windermere!
