Since I don't see a way to edit the original review I posted about a week ago I will write a completely new review and hopefully someone seeing this one will look up my original one. Bottom Line: I am lowering my rating from 5 to 2 stars. In my original review I praised the US Mobile rep for answering all my questions. In the week or so that I have had the service I am satisfied with the overall service quality and data speeds I am getting. Although not perfect, you also have to consider that it is an MVNO and they don't actually own the network. My biggest reason for downgrading the rating from 5 to 2 stars is my plan rate going up suddenly from one month to the next without any prior warning. Another concern is that the rate went up 3 days after I signed up and the rep gave me no warning about it even as I questioned him about the cost and making sure there were no hidden taxes or fees. I think an unannounced rate change 3 days after you sign up qualifies as "hidden". To be fair, even with the rate increase, the overall value proposition is still there given the plan specifics and limits. However, the way in which it was done is not good customer service. I might not have been as upset with a $10 monthly increase that was disclosed ahead of time as I am with a $4 increase that I was not warned about.
