I had a wedge shaped memory foam pillow but kept waking up with a crick in my neck. After putting up with it for years I finally bought a winkl pillow when I was buying a winkl luxe mattress. I no longer wake up with a sore neck. I guess the pillow just cradles my head better and/or takes the weight off my neck better. Anway, it works.
