At first they were great, they were over 3 hours late for time slot which was fine since I was home, the technician was great changed battery, 2 weeks later it was bad, they charge 100.00 to come back to replace it and refund it if it’s a bad battery, it was a bad battery, and I’ve had to now call 3 x for refund and still have not received. That ruined what was a decent experience

I called today 6/19/2023 to have a battery installed. My wait time would be 2hrs. after waiting over two hours I called and was told the battery was being picked up from the warehouse and the guy should be here by 3:40pm. At 3:30pm I got a call that no one was coming and could I wait until tomorrow morning for the install, leaving me to get to work by other means. Which was unacceptable and would cost me extra money to travel to and from my job. I am skeptical now that some will show up between 8am and 9am on 6/20/2023 as my daughter has a doctor's appointment for 10am. I choose this company based on their reviews, hope I will not be disappointed tomorrow as I will cancel this order and want use this company again. JCarter

Never showed up, yet they billed my daughter. Won’t refund our money! Not sure how this company gets a 4.3 rating with reviews.io, when the Texas Better Business Bureau has a grade F and 1.21/5. Facebook also has lots of bad reviews. Don’t give them your card until service is complete and verified!

I appreciated the timeliness and updates of the technician. He spent a few hours here, distracted on phone calls for much of it, but did get the battery replaced and had me make sure the car starts, which it did. Warning lights were on about battery discharges but he assured that they would clear and when I asked him about programming, he said there was no need to as he'd keep the charge while swapping. I have now used the car for a couple of days and looked in the trunk and noticed several issues. * The plugs were removed but not replaced (and I could not find them in the trunk to put back). The first photo is the other side as it should be and the others show the battery side with the holes and no plugs. * From my research, everything points to battery programming being required for my make and model - for instance, https://www.bimmer-tech.net/blog/item/115-bmw-battery-replacement-and-registration * Every time I start the car, the date and time are not set and need to be reset. * A battery discharge warning comes up every time I start the car. There are no accessories plugged in. I have contacted the company 3 times and they are not responsive to fix the issues.

I drive a BMW 328i, before purchasing I contacted customer service and asked specifically if the technicians will register my new battery to my cars system. Customer service assured me that the technicians were well trained on BMW and that they would register the battery so that way my new battery wouldn't be over charged and the IBS system wouldn't screw with my car. All makes and models from BMW after 2002 NEED to have a new battery registered to the cars computer system with a BMW Scanner or ODMII Scanner (some ODMII Scanners don't even do the battery registration so it has to be certain models) The technician came out a day late, with a 10 minute warning changed my battery and DID NOT REGISTER IT. Did not test it before hand. Did not test it after wards. Told me to try and start it and see what happens. Hooked ZERO scanners to my ODM or the battery. Did not use even a memory saver like customer service tried to tell me they use to bypass having to register the battery (which is just a lie anyways because memory savers do not bypass having to register the battery) I contacted customer service immediately by chat, phone call, and text and didn't receive any type of answer until hours later. When I finally received a text back after waiting on hold for hours the customer service agent told me that the first customer service agent I talked to who guaranteed to me that they registered the battery "didn't know what he was talking about." After going back and forth for an hour I was told my order would be sent to the claims department for either a partial refund or a new technician to come out and to stand by my phone for news, I said Thank You and that was the end of our conversation. It's been well over 24hr and I have heard NOTHING. $500 for someone to come out, screw up your car, and for you to have to take it to the shop anyways. Zero stars if I could leave it. ZERO.

Battery died 2 weeks after installation. Customer svc seems to be only via email so I'm basically stuck with a dead battery until they respond. I was impressed with the speed of delivery and install, but if it doesnt last....

After waiting 4 hrs, tech arrived, put in battery backwards, had to redo it, the minute he drove away battery light cane on and as i drive to tires plus the car died at the light. When i called customer service they tried to tell me i had an alternator problem, 2 weeks prior i had my car checked bumper to bumper and nothing was wrong with it. The battery installed was a AC delco 47g but my receipt said i paud $289 for Diehard Gold 47H5. They are crooks and liars. I will be contacting my credit card company.

I had an appointment between 2 and 4 pm. Driver showed up at 5:45 and called to tell me he was at the car. I told him I was walking over and it was a 10 minute walk. Driver was rude and told me had to leave. I called customer service and asked for a refund, which still has not hit my account.

I waited 2 hours then got on chat to see how much longer it would be. I then found out that they could not come out for 2 days!! When I asked for ASAP service I assumed it would be 3-4 hours not days! No one even reached out to let me know it could not be done today. Took my cc number as well. Wasted my only day off.

The person who visited was rude and swore constantly. Followed some youtube vid to figure out where the battery to be replaced was located in the car. The youtube was incorrect but following that he ripped most of the stuff in the back. Finally found the battery. Asked me to start replacing the things he ripped. When I did not do that, he replaced the panels incorrectly, swearing constantly and using foul language. The car was in the garage and my kids were at home. What a horrible experience!! Will not recommend 800-Battery till they better vet who their contractors are.

Was very hopeful about this site. I did not cease disappointing; 1. With ought calling or emailing or texting me to say - "Hey we are going to be late" , they waited for me to call to follow up after 3.5 hours waiting. (That's 1.5 hours past the delivery window they offered) 2. Once the technician arrived he was very professional. However the "Diehard" brand battery I thought I purchased was not what I received. The tech says it happens adn I should complain totes company. 3. 1-800-battery.com has yet to respond to my two emails asking for the battery to be replaced.

Do not do business with these liars !!!! You order a certain battery online and they deliver whatever battery they want that fits your car. For example I ordered a Diehard battery of upgraded capacity and they brought me an AC Delco battery worth $100 less. When you complain, they want to charge you a service fee for bringing the wrong battery. Then they agree to discount it that they never honor. Total waste of time. Go elsewhere for your battery needs Please. Very bad experience.!!!!

My initial impression of 1-800-BATTERY was good when I spoke with customer service on the phone to set up the appointment. The person I spoke with assured me that the service provider would test the battery to ensure it needed replacing, replace it if needed, and help troubleshoot other ways to get my vehicle running if it was not that. The service provider only did one of those things - he didn’t even come prepared with a way to test the existing battery, and had zero interest, or seemingly knowledge, of how to troubleshoot anything else. My vehicle still wouldn’t start after he replaced the battery, so I called customer service to see what my options were. Meanwhile, the service provider was asking me to sign off on the job so he could leave. I said I wouldn’t sign off yet because I wanted to know my options. Customer service said I could have him remove the new battery and just pay he service fee of ~$90, or I could keep the new battery for the ~$314. Before I had a chance to tell the service provider I wanted the battery removed because it wasn’t working, he said “good luck, honey” and drove off. Customer service was apologetic in the moment, and said they’d get him back to remove the battery. After that, I never heard from them again nor could I get a hold of this agent again. So, here I am with a “new” ~$314 battery and an immovable vehicle.

Installed a battery, my car died a day or two later, so I had them do a warranty check to see if it was a bad battery. Sent the SAME PERSON who told me it was my car, not the battery, and I believed them. My car had to be jumped 3 times since then, and I finally took it in to see if it was the alternator, etc and the mechanic ran diagnostics on my car, determined it was a BAD BATTERY, installed a new one and now my car is running perfectly. Ran a diagnostic after the new battery install and confirmed it was still the old bad battery. Tried to go through the company to resolve, who told me I needed to find the garbage battery and go through the warranty process again. Huge scam, not worth the cost, stay away.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, EVER! I normally only take time to give good reviews. But this experience has been not only beyond poor but potentially dangerous. In January I order a battery that online that was suggested from the site for my Dodge Journey. The man came out, put it in all the while complaining that he wasn't happy that he had to remove the tire to put the battery on. The company charged 200 in labor over the cost of the battery to put it on. A couple weeks later, the battery is completely dead. I call this company and they charge me $99.99 to come out and check the battery. It is bad so they replace it with a battery that the technician ran done to the corner O'Riley's to purchase (at least that's what he told me). He is the same technician that put the first battery in. Now, three weeks later, the battery is completely dead again. So I have my car towed to the Dodge Dealership and they test the battery. They tell me it's a dud. That is what they called it. They said the battery was so bad that they could not even jump my car for several tries. They did all kind of diagnostics on my car. No problems. Just the battery. Now my car is in the shop getting a new battery from the dealership. Of course, the shop was very busy so it took them 3 days to get to this point. That's 3 days that I'm stranded without tranportation due to 1800battery.com. After I get off the phone with the mechanic, I call 1800battery and am told that since the first battery was replaced, the second doesn't have a warranty. That they will be reimburse me any of the $339 dollars I paid for the battery. Heck, they should be apologetic for the horrible service. It is scary for anyone no matter a single women being stranded due to a bad battery. The representative, Jaylen, that I spoke said, "I'm hear your frustration but that's just policy." I am currently waiting for a call back from the manager, Jason. I will update this review if they call back. Somehow I doubt they will even bother. Sad. DO NOT USE THEM!!

I scheduled a battery change one day before. After the two hour window passed, called them and they had not even scheduled anyone to come. I called 3 times and they lied that someone is on their way. The person arrived three hours after the time window I had scheduled for. I wasted five hours on them plus the aggravation.
