I gave it 1 star only to leave a message. I purchased a battery less than a year ago, and it was giving my car's computer notice that it was registering at a very low voltage and I should service it ASAP. I called and spoke with a representative; I was told that a technician would be sent to address the battery issue. The technician said the battery didn't like the cold weather and was a fluke. Just drive my car for a while to build up more voltage. The alternator works at 100% and revitalizes the battery once the vehicle moves. I took the car for a longer drive, and the battery seems fine now. However, I was not told I would be charged a service charge of $100 even though the battery was under warranty. I have tried multiple times to speak with a representative from 1800 Battery regarding the service charge, and no one can help me. I will not recommend this service to anyone. I am now going to have to dispute the charge with American Express. I am very unhappy about the service and warranty that I was told came with the battery purchase.

This company is a fraud . They never installed a battery for my car but charged my credit card anyway . They would not reverse the charge no matter how often I called them .

The good part: 1) I called and they came within 90 minutes. 2) the young man was a nice guy with a great attitude. I tipped him $20 The bad part: 1) it said that I was getting a Die Hard battery and the battery he installed was a Continental. How/why did this happen. 2) The total fee for your service was $400. The serviceman left me an invoice from Continental battery showing that you paid $70.29 for the battery and $19.0 for the core which will be refunded when you return my battery. So you charged me over $300 for a 15-minute drive and 15-minute installation? 3) He did not know how to remove the battery so after I he left I went on YouTube to see what he should have done: a) He should have first removed the carpet at spere cover but instead kept reaching under these which slowed him down and slowed the process. b) he removed the bolts from the front and back after removing the connection from the terminals but it took him 5 minutes to find and remove the second bracket on the left side of the battery which enabled him to take the old battery out from the trunk. He is poorly trained. c) He then replaced the battery with the new Continental battery and I told him that it was not the battery purchased. d) He then reconnected the positive and negative terminals but did not clean the connections as I was taught when I was a child (removing corrosion). e) He then placed the spare back in place but could not get it centered, He next placed the spare ring in place but could not get it centered into the spare but tightened the spare down anyway. f) He then straightened out the carpet and cover and realized that he did not replace the plastic battery cover but told me that it is not important. If Chevy designed the car to include the battery cover it must be for a reason. It's now sitting in the trunk of the car. So to me I don't think it's right to blame the young man but I do hold you responsible for sending a poorly trained and inexperienced person to a job that he is not good at. I would like you to send someone here to remove the Continental Battery, replace this with a Die Hard and put the tire, covers and brackets back in place as they were when your technician arrived. I wrote a short note last night and did not get a response. Pretty bad job, people. And having your technician hand me the battery receipt showing that you paid only $70 for a $400, 15-minute installation is not a smart business practice. I tyhimk that my one star is generous.

One star. The installer was friendly and efficient, but the battery was not the one I paid for.

Terrible service. I ordered a DieHard Gold and 24 hours later ("ASAP service") the tech showed up with a no-name battery. I was unable to get any documentation of the battery warranty, and even after extensive dialogue with the company representative was unable to get the battery I ordered. A bait and switch operation, will never use again and will warn my friends to avoid this company.

If I could give a zero rating, I would. I was stuck in midtown manhattan in a parking garage with what I thought was a dead battery. Called these folks and the nice man on the phone said someone would be out between 11am and 12:30pm. Just in case there was some other problem, I'd have time to get to a mechanic. He was also supposed to test the battery first, and if I didn't need it, I would only be charged for the service call. At 1, I called again. Tech is on his way. Called at 2, now the tech is in the Bronx working on another service call, they have no idea when he's getting here. He finally showed up at 5:30, after all the shops were closed. I asked him to check the battery first, he said no, he already bought it so I would have to pay for it one way or the other. It ended up NOT being the battery, it was the starter motor. So on top of an unnecessary service that made me wait all day, I had to pay for a tow out of manhattan, a motel room since I'm not from here, and the repair on my vehicle. Asked for a partial refund, but on the one and only occasion I got someone on the phone, all sales are final. And to add a cherry on top, when I finally got home and took a look at the new battery, it's not even the one they sold me. This battery is a used $85.00 Autozone off-brand, not a $247 DieHard. This service is a scam and they are not even accredited by the BBB. Take a look at all the reviews and you can see for yourself what they do to people in need.

Avoid this company at all cost!!! They are a deceptive business and they use deceptive business practices. I had a dead battery in my BMW 650i. I called this company to have a tech come out and remove the old battery and install a new one. The price quoted over the phone (on a recorded line) was $377.00. I agreed to the service. Upon checking their invoice sent a few minutes later via email I found that I was being charged $397.00 plus a fee of $25.00 that was never mentioned. I immediately called to cancel the service due to breach of terms agreed upon. I was rudely told at that point that their would be a $100.00 cancellation "fee". Again, this fee had not been previously mentioned. Today I learned that they charged my credit card $451.02 for absolutely no service whatsoever. In the end they shall not receive a penny ( I immediately disputed the charge with my bank), but what a headache and hassle. Again, AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!

The guy who installed the battery was clueless as to how to install a battery in a BMW. He told my wife it was working but in fact, he just shoved it back into the garage and left. When my wife came out to use the car it would not start and the electronics were all f__ed up. I had to tow it to a BMW dealer and they are working on it now. Can't wait to get the bill....

Well, the installation of my BMW battery wasn't performed correctly, leaving one wire disconnected and causing indicator lights on my dash to go off requiring me to contact alternative mechanics and get access to a specialized computer to reset it. Three calls to customer service and they promised to get back to me about a potential concession and never did. Very disappointing. I'd recommend you go elsewhere for your battery needs based on my experience. -jb

My scheduled appointment was between 10 am and noon on Dec. 30th. On December 28th I received a call stating that a tech would be at my home in 10 min. which was in error. On December 30th at 2 pm which is two hours after my scheduled service time, I received a text stating that a tech would be at my home in ten minutes however I was not available at the time they decided to arrive. I then received a dispatch charge to my account because I was present when the tech arrived late. Several issues, several problems lack of resolution qualification by phone staff.

I put in an order for a new battery which indicated someone would be out between 3-5pm. It’s now 5pm and no one has showed up. I tried calling and texting but I can not get ahold of anyone. My credit card and already been charged. This feels like a scam!

I had a dead battery in my car New Years Day. I understand companies being closed for the holidays, but their website said nothing about them being closed and accepted my order and gave me a 3 hr ETA. I tried contacting them to get status after a few hours and used their chat bot. It told me someone would be contacting me soon at 6.30 PM and never heard anything until this afternoon, after I put in the chat "when are you going to contact me" this morning and they never did. I also tried their text service and sent a note requesting status at 9:00 this morning and the finally texted back at 5:30 PM asking for my order number.

Placed an order. Then tried to contact for order updates by phone and Chat with no response. Cancelled order and was still charged. Pretty terrible customer service & experience. I’m sure no one will respond to this note given my experience with this company

It was easy to set up an appointment on the website, but then nobody showed up to replace my battery during the two hour appointment I scheduled. I tried chat, text, and phone to reach a live person who could give me an update on whether anyone was coming. No response. Waited on hold for thirty minutes before giving up. This was New Years Day. They shouldn't schedule appointments if they don't have the mechanics to fulfill the orders and/or if they don't have adequate staff to respond to customers. Do not recommend.
