I had my battery replaced in my 2011 Mercedes Benz and after trying to drive home from work a new light alerted on my dashboard and I could no longer accelerate. This has never happened and I had no dashboard alert prior to needing a new battery. I called back to 1-800 Battery to see if someone would come check to see if it was installed properly or if a certain reset was needed in order to get my car working normally, whoever I was speaking to would not help me and only said for $99 someone can come check the battery. I told him the battery is fine, they just replaced it, he kept saying "Umm" and wouldn't offer anything other assistance. I asked for the manager, he said he wasn't in, even at 10:38am on a Tuesday. I offered to speak to his voicemail even and he wouldn't do that. He said he had my information and he would call me back when the supervisor came in. This was yesterday morning and still no one has reach out. Extremely unprofessional and if you aren't sure you fixed a certain call then you should not be working on them.

I scheduled an appointment for them to come to my place of employment to replace my car battery. I let them know from the beginning that my vehicle was a hybrid. The earliest same day appointment was 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Jaylen called to let me know they would not be able to come until 4:30-5:00 PM. I had to repeatedly call Jaylen and someone finally showed up after 7:00 PM. The person that showed up was unprepared, had no idea where the battery was in a hybrid car. He kept on saying it should be in the back seat. I had to google where the battery was to tell him. I had to remove the covering of the battery in the vehicle myself. He had the hardest time removing the battery. He didn't want to place the protective cover over the new battery because in his words that was just a hassle. I had to put the covering back in the vehicle myself after the battery was installed. He had no flashlight just his cell phone. I had to use my cell phone flashlight so that he could have light. I thought this would be a fast and convenient way to have my car battery replaced. Instead it was expensive and they were extremely unreliable. Jaylen kept on telling me the person coming to change the battery was not answering their phone.

This is a fraud company. I ordered a Diehard GOLD battery which cost $350 (Including $99 service/installation fee). But serviceman trying to replace $100 Econocraft battery(not that I ordered). They didn't show/inform me which battery they replacing in to my car, so I stopped them immediately and requested a refund. It's been 8 days, they didn't refund me. I called several times. DON'T use this service unless you are owning risk. Please check your battery if you replaced it in the past, and make sure it's the right battery they replaced in the car that you ordered.

I ordered a battery and paid over $350 but the battery they installed was different and low capacity that caused lot of issues on remote keys and dashboard functions. The return policy mentioned indicates that no questions asked for rerun but that’s deceiving. Don’t trust that you will get what you paid for. I had very poor experience.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Total scam! I paid $344 for a DieHard Gold battery, a guy showed up with some off-brand random battery. I called the company on the spot and they said they reserve the right to give you ANY battery they have, and that I should have read the FAQ page so I would have known that. They said they had to charge me a $99 service fee to cancel the order. Uh, no way!

Tech did not communicate well, i ordered a battery they showed up and charged 120 to test my battery and beecause it was charged they left, called back asking them to waive service fee and come put battery in they said yea no problem but we wont waive service fee, I was chgarged 119$ for someone to test the voltage on my battery .... Again I did call 1800Battery to buy a battery Not 1800testabattery to have one tested, Very displeased with how they handled this I wont be back.

There would be a $99 fee charged for the dispatch. EVEN IF I AM CALLING AFTER YOUR PROMISED TIME AND THE BATTERY HAS NOT EVEN BEEN PICKED UP YET much less delivered and installed? Rep told me it was POLICY! The REP changed the status of my order as I was speaking to her to reflect that the order was in transit- mind you this was well after the 2 hour promise. Recieved email at 2PM thanking me for order- I believe this is the time the REP updated the status to in transit. So your delivery policy is garbage and can be ignored but your money grabbing policy is enforced? REFUND SHOULD BE PROVIDED FOR FULL AMOUNT - ORDER 46329

I got scammed by this company. They replaced my battery and everything went well and then the battery died just about a year later within warranty. They replaced the battery under warranty and told me I wouldn’t be charged. 10 days later my card was charged $99. I called customer service and they said it was an accident and sent me a confirmation email that the $99 charge was cancelled. It has now been 1 month and I never received a refund. I have called back weekly - last week they told me the refund was already issued. Today they told me it was not yet issued. Also takes about 20 mins on hold to get in touch with customer service and that’s the only way to contact them. Long story short - they will “accidentally” charge you for services you did not order or receive, and they will NEVER refund you.

I gave it 1 star only to leave a message. I purchased a battery less than a year ago, and it was giving my car's computer notice that it was registering at a very low voltage and I should service it ASAP. I called and spoke with a representative; I was told that a technician would be sent to address the battery issue. The technician said the battery didn't like the cold weather and was a fluke. Just drive my car for a while to build up more voltage. The alternator works at 100% and revitalizes the battery once the vehicle moves. I took the car for a longer drive, and the battery seems fine now. However, I was not told I would be charged a service charge of $100 even though the battery was under warranty. I have tried multiple times to speak with a representative from 1800 Battery regarding the service charge, and no one can help me. I will not recommend this service to anyone. I am now going to have to dispute the charge with American Express. I am very unhappy about the service and warranty that I was told came with the battery purchase.

The good part: 1) I called and they came within 90 minutes. 2) the young man was a nice guy with a great attitude. I tipped him $20 The bad part: 1) it said that I was getting a Die Hard battery and the battery he installed was a Continental. How/why did this happen. 2) The total fee for your service was $400. The serviceman left me an invoice from Continental battery showing that you paid $70.29 for the battery and $19.0 for the core which will be refunded when you return my battery. So you charged me over $300 for a 15-minute drive and 15-minute installation? 3) He did not know how to remove the battery so after I he left I went on YouTube to see what he should have done: a) He should have first removed the carpet at spere cover but instead kept reaching under these which slowed him down and slowed the process. b) he removed the bolts from the front and back after removing the connection from the terminals but it took him 5 minutes to find and remove the second bracket on the left side of the battery which enabled him to take the old battery out from the trunk. He is poorly trained. c) He then replaced the battery with the new Continental battery and I told him that it was not the battery purchased. d) He then reconnected the positive and negative terminals but did not clean the connections as I was taught when I was a child (removing corrosion). e) He then placed the spare back in place but could not get it centered, He next placed the spare ring in place but could not get it centered into the spare but tightened the spare down anyway. f) He then straightened out the carpet and cover and realized that he did not replace the plastic battery cover but told me that it is not important. If Chevy designed the car to include the battery cover it must be for a reason. It's now sitting in the trunk of the car. So to me I don't think it's right to blame the young man but I do hold you responsible for sending a poorly trained and inexperienced person to a job that he is not good at. I would like you to send someone here to remove the Continental Battery, replace this with a Die Hard and put the tire, covers and brackets back in place as they were when your technician arrived. I wrote a short note last night and did not get a response. Pretty bad job, people. And having your technician hand me the battery receipt showing that you paid only $70 for a $400, 15-minute installation is not a smart business practice. I tyhimk that my one star is generous.

One star. The installer was friendly and efficient, but the battery was not the one I paid for.

Terrible service. I ordered a DieHard Gold and 24 hours later ("ASAP service") the tech showed up with a no-name battery. I was unable to get any documentation of the battery warranty, and even after extensive dialogue with the company representative was unable to get the battery I ordered. A bait and switch operation, will never use again and will warn my friends to avoid this company.

If I could give a zero rating, I would. I was stuck in midtown manhattan in a parking garage with what I thought was a dead battery. Called these folks and the nice man on the phone said someone would be out between 11am and 12:30pm. Just in case there was some other problem, I'd have time to get to a mechanic. He was also supposed to test the battery first, and if I didn't need it, I would only be charged for the service call. At 1, I called again. Tech is on his way. Called at 2, now the tech is in the Bronx working on another service call, they have no idea when he's getting here. He finally showed up at 5:30, after all the shops were closed. I asked him to check the battery first, he said no, he already bought it so I would have to pay for it one way or the other. It ended up NOT being the battery, it was the starter motor. So on top of an unnecessary service that made me wait all day, I had to pay for a tow out of manhattan, a motel room since I'm not from here, and the repair on my vehicle. Asked for a partial refund, but on the one and only occasion I got someone on the phone, all sales are final. And to add a cherry on top, when I finally got home and took a look at the new battery, it's not even the one they sold me. This battery is a used $85.00 Autozone off-brand, not a $247 DieHard. This service is a scam and they are not even accredited by the BBB. Take a look at all the reviews and you can see for yourself what they do to people in need.
