Do not use this company for car battery. When I signed up and placed my order it said 129 minutes. Once I paid it said eta 9am the next day. Figured ok, it’s a holiday. Never received an update or any other communication. No one showed up and never heard a thing. Waited on chat for several minutes multiple times and never got a person to assist. Emailed the company. Never heard back. No calls or texts. Still trying to make certain they don’t charge us to money for a battery and service we never received. I think it’s a scam.

I called this company for my car battery to be replaced. they told me the estimated time was 2hrs. I waited 5hr. I called them for them to tell me they can’t get hold of their technicians. They wasted my whole day. They told me someone would be available the next day. I called them to verify the next day for them to just tell me they can’t get hold of the technicians. They wasted my precious two days. Don’t even try them

Charged my credit card then did not show up THREE times. Awful company. Likely scam!

No one charged your card. We authorize funds only. You were quite the impatient person on Xmas and canceled due to being rude. 100,000 installs later and we are a scam.... Christmas brings out the best in people.

When I placed my order online the system defaulted to the wrong engine size (car battery) which required me to call twice to get the right battery size to be brought. I scheduled my appointment for 830am the following day, and the technician arrived 3 hours late with no call from the company to let me know (I had to call and they told me tech would be there soon, but did not show up for 2 more hours). I had ordered a AC Delco battery, but tech showed up with the Exide brand battery instead.

Exide and AC Delco are made by the same manufacturers and depending on the location determine the distributors and the sticker placed on the same battery,

Nobody showed up, and I waited on hold for an hour before I gave up. Convinced this is a SCAM. Very frustrated.

Paid for battery and install for the next morning. No one has shown up and impossible to get anyone to talk to. I tried live chat but did not receive any answer to my question. When I clicked on "locations" it brought up a number of Valvoline locations. I called the one closest to me but they said they have never heard of 1-800 Battery and they do not install batteries for them. I'm wondering if this is a legit company.

Miserable experience. Called to have my battery replaced and was told a technician was dispatched and would be out in 2 hours. After verifying twice with the chat services during the two hour timeframe that the technician was on the way no one showed up. When I called, I was told that they wouldn’t be able to make it and that the technician was out of town for the weekend. They should’ve disclosed this up front

I am upset that the driver did not take the old battery with him as was described in the service. Instead, he left it in my parking lot - as I discovered when I returned to my car. This is NOT how you earn repeat customers or, win new business via word-of-mouth.

Zero stars. 10:00am appointment. 1:30pm arrival time. Was told at 10:45 (when I first contacted customer service) that they were “a couple appointments” behind. My second contact with customer service was at 12:45, at which point was told it would be another 45 minutes. I don’t blame the tech: I blame the appointment system. I also am amazed that there isn’t a mechanism to contact customers when technicians are running behind. If I hadn’t contacted customer service myself, I wouldn’t have known that there were “a lot of 10:00 appointments”. So thanks for eating half my day and making me miss my 1:00 appointment. (Which cost me a hundred bucks.)

Sent 12/7/21 “C.R. Huntington, NY This is a 'hit' or 'miss' operation judging from the reviews . . . if they are legitimate. My car would not start at my residence. I found 1-800-Battery on web. They advertised they serviced a stalled car at any location. I called on 12/6, spoke to CHRIS, and paid 'up front' for battery (which was a mistake). Installer was available (outside contractor - 'TOP LOCK') and he did a good installation (I think) as I really don't know what model Exide battery (crank capacity, warantee time) was installed. I was led to believe by CHRIS at 1-800-Battery that I purchased a 'new' battery, but I now believe I was given a 'refurbished' battery, which shouldn't have cost so much. This is obviously why CHRIS (who processed my order) refuses to email me the warranty and specs he promised. These idiots refuse to speak to you when you call. The phone keeps ringing or goes dead. However, Jason finally took my call when he thought I was a 'new' customer, but refused to connect me with 'CHRIS' and hung up on me twice!! (I finally managed to receive an email confirmation of the P.O. - 12/7 - MINUS the info I was looking for). In frustration, I did further research on web and found a page where 'they' (1-800-Battery) advertised a SX65 Exide battery for $224.99. This included installation. Does this mean I paid $224.99 for the battery . . . the battery they refuse to define (new or refurbished, crank capacity, or warantee time)? 'They' - (Chris, Jason, Tim) have jerked with me for two days, avoiding my calls and refusing to send me the promised specs on the battery I purchased. 1-800-Battery (Greenlawn location) and their outside contractors are con-artists. I intend to look under my hood to check what battery was actually installed. I will then escalate this matter further and report their ignorant and evasive tactics to the proper authorities. I should have 'checked them out' before doing any business with them. I do not recommend their services.”

Terrible Service...Avoid at all cost. The delivery and swap was supposed to happen at 0830. They showed up at 1919 at night. The delivery driver the n proceeded to tell me that he wouold not touch the battery because it has a battery charging pigtail on it. Then, the company would not refund my money!

This company does not replace your battery, they are forwarding your request to the local techs who do a great job at half their price. Charging $25.00 for mileage was a surprise and charging $100.00 more for the battery than the local tech is dishonest at a minimum.

This company should be out of business. They required my credit card before they would come to my house. They showed up at my house with out the tools to remove my battery. After 30 minutes they did not charge my batter or replace my battery. I was charged $272.41. I contested the bill on my credit card. The company told my credit card they completed the task. They had gps recordings to show they came to my house but they have nothing that shows the task was completed. They do not even explain what the task was they completed. I had to hire another company to replace the battery. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD UNTIL THE JOB IS COMPLETE. Your card will be charged before the arrive. I am filing a complaint with the attorney general. 12/3/2021

Seriously, you ordered a Motor Home Battery which was self diagnosed and incorrect fit. When we came out to solve it wasn't a tool problem it was your problem. We tried to solve it but you continued down the same path as this invalid review. You are banned from further service requests based on your behaviors.
