“I have spent 3 days been directly lied to by your "customer service" team. I have had my delivery delayed by days (which I took of work) because your agents just keep making blind unauthorized changes to my delivery instructions, I am told I will have a supervisor call me back in 90 minutes......4 hours later someone calls me from the "escalation" team to let me know I am F'd for yet another day, I ask to talk to their supervisor and get told someone will call me back in 90 minutes....except when I ask what time they close and then its the awkward silence followed by oh we close in 5 minutes, "you won't actually get a call back until tomorrow".”

“Do not ship with DHL. I sent 6 shipment with them and they arrived 42 days late due to delivery delays in transiting though their hubs. They also then had the cheek to say it was my fault for providing the wrong invoice ( I was proivided with 3 sets of invoices from the DHL team and filled them all in) and they wont refund any deleivery fee becasue they cant verify the dealy even though I sent them the full tracking history showing the delays!

“Incredibly bad service. I would give negative 5 stars. My driver was too lazy to get out of his truck and deliver the package. Instead, he reported a problem with the address. Someone from DHL called 2 days later to confirm the location. She looked it up on google maps and could see the numbers right on the building. 2 days after that I called to find out WTF they did with my package. Got bounced around between 3 different departments and and spoke to 3 different CS reps with heavy foreign accents. Finally found out it's "on hold" because they can't deliver. Told her the problem is their driver is either too lazy or too effing stupid to deliver a package. So now I have to wait another 48 hours and then drive across town to pick it up at some mailbox place. How does this company stay in business?”
“Rubbish as usual. Given very little notice about a delivery and I was out. I received an email to say that the parcel has been delivered and left in a safe place described as ‘other location’. What on earth dies that mean. I have no idea where parcel is. Drivers so dim. £60 of goods from Dunelm now lost. I shall be ringing Dunelm up to complain.”
“Would give 0 if I could. Failed to collect a parcel 2x. First they didn't even show up, second time I wasn't fast enough (was at the door in approx 20seconds) only to open door and see driver shoot off. Assume he rang bell and went straight back in van. Maybe I should've been standing at the door all day since he turned up at 2pm instead of 5-6. Anyway cancelled service and learnt my lesson. NEVER AGAIN”
“Washing machine should have been delivered yesterday the 11th june i am 80 my wife 76 we had to remove old machine very difficult for us told by DHL 1 hour before delivery it wont be coming until 4 July so no washer for a month try to ring them we were on hold for half an hour and then they hung up on us this company is the pits...”
“DHL LOST my package I had to keep calling them they did not send me a email to let me know that it was misplaced they also told me I need to contact the sender when they were the ones who lost my package they could not refund me they told me to reach out to the seller numerous of people have been filing a complaint with DHL due to so many missing packages I believe the driver stole the package this is so sad I also will be filing a complaint with the Board I also ask to speak with the supervisor the agent told me he is not available he will call me back so careless and no type of sympathy to the person stuff they just lost its not fair I will be reaching out to the news this place needs to be SHUT DOWN this has happened on more then one occasions they are just hiring anybody to work and do the job but someone is stealing people things this is very unfortunate and not fair I cant stress this enough I would NEVER recommend DHL you all should be shut down for all the missed packaged.”
“Working as a customer service Rep I know how people should and shouldn’t be treated. When my package arrived for delivery I placed my hand out for my package my delivery person looked me in my face and sat it on the table and began to say this package is for Annie I stated that was me and and asked politely why he placed it on the table instead of my hand in which he ignored me and left. They have kept us waiting the whole day saying they will pick up the parcel before 6pm.... that they will send a "window of 1h" in the morning.... nothing was sent, had to wait the whole day, called them 4 times, waited on hold for hours, they always promised that the driver will show up.... at the end he didn't... sent our package by Royal Mail... same price better service!”

I have paid 30 pounds to get something small ( a sim card) delivered from the UK to Bulgaria and the service promised delivery within 2-3 working days. I paid online and had it dropped off at a parcel shop. And then we waited for the parcel to get there and we waited and we waited... When i realized something is off, I started calling (not easy to find the right people) Turns out my parcel was never even picked by the DHL driver at all, still sitting where we dropped it off and I was told that 'collection was refused'. Went to the shop why they refused the collection and the shop assistant tells me they have not refused anything and a driver has not been and that DHL is doing pick up whenever they are pleased and to not count on them.
Since then, i have spoken to 3 customer service agents from DHL Parcel to try to get someone collect my parcel and they all assured me how sorry they are and that they will find out what's happening, but appear to do nothing at all to resolve the problem. Absolutely awful! And the worst part is that I can tell right away they don't give a s**t and just want to get rid of me and the minute i hang up they will move on and do nothing about it.
My advice - find another company, and stay away from this one. Really don't know how such a bad service is possible from a company that is so big!”
“Gave me a delivery time between 6pm and 7pm Friday when I went to track my parcel it said it t had been delivered It hadn’t when I rang they said it was back at the depot and wouldn’t be delivered on Monday DHL is a joke just like the tracking system”
“The worst customer service assistance I have ever had. The problem is that the initial workers that you come in contact with on the phone, could care less about your needs and concerns. That is what happens when the company is so large, they really do not care. I would never use this shipping company. I am still trying to obtain my package. They actually want to charge me a storage fee for any packages that are not delivered by a certain date. Here is the problem, I am trying to supply the information that they need, but they never call me back. I have reached out to upper level management and maybe I can be provided with better service. Anytime I have a shipper that wants to use DHL to ship my package, I am going to request, they will not use.”

The package is a set of four 2 metre Venetian blinds so not exactly inconspicuous.
The fact that DHL utilise rival carriers such as UPS to deliver their Christmas bonus hampers to DHL senior management pretty much says it all about the reliability of this company!!”
