I ordered a chicken coop door opener from Amazon. It shipped from Slovenia, through, Italy, Germany and then New York. It landed in Cincinnati on the third day. It then went on hold. It's been on hold for 12 days. I called DHL and was told that it's on hold because they can't find a truck to take it to the West Coast. The also told me I SHOULDN'T FEEL BAD because there are THOUSANDS of packages all on hold because they can't find a truck to the West Coast. They have no idea when the backage will come off of hold. Not sure why they don't put them on a plane or give them to UPS or the Post Office if they are incapable of doing their own job. I'm worried that they've lost the package and don't want to pay for the contents. Have no clue how to get them to admit it or move the box.

Waiting on a delivery as we speak... was supposed to come on the 17th, called a day later, was told this Monday after 2pm I'll have my package. Nothing, so I called again, they said they would investigate and I would hear back by 10am today, again Nothing. Called this afternoon, told absolutely nothing about my package, was hung up on multiple times, until finally an agent/ moron scheduled a store pickup this Thursday. So that means I have to drive an hour a way to do their job. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COST

Count me in with everyone else who's had a negative experience with DHL Express! Two overseas shipments from the same shipper, at the same time, with the same physical dimensions, arrived in Cincinnati on 4/28. One of the two caught a hop the same day and was delivered to me in TX. The other package is languishing "shipment on hold" in Cincinnati with no expected delivery date. I had been on the horn with customer service many a time with no resolution to facilitate delivery, and finally demanded to speak with someone higher up. I got the number for DHL Research? and they were zero help as well. The issue I have, is that saying a shipment is on hold for an indefinite period of time inspires no confidence and instead, sounds like a cover for either a lost, damaged, or stolen package. Whatever issues DHL is having seem to be endemic to them as UPS, Fedex and USPS don't seem to be mired in any sort of shipping backlog. I'd suggest to them that if a package is on hold with no definitive delivery date, it should receive scans every couple of days. Don't have enough people? Hire temps. A search engine query of "DHL Cincinnati problems" will bring up a number of hits which bear out numerous customer frustrations. If DHL was a volunteer service, or I thought they had some extraneous circumstances which only affected them, I'd temper my review, but it seems like they simply cannot get out of their own way and the customer is paying for it in more than one way!

NEVER accept drop parcel to your front door step. Always make sure you sign for it. They will send you a photo that it’s on your front door step but the photo is not my house, someone else’s house. They will a few days later ask you again if I got my parcel. I already said I never got it on my door step and the photo is not my house. I never got my parcel delivery. 😡

I followed all of the instructions provided on the DHL Parcels website, attaching all of the paperwork to my parcel then driving 30 minutes to my nearest depot only to be told that my parcel wasn't recognised by the shop owner trying to scan the bar code. I couldn't get hold of anyone at DHL on the phone or any support anywhere else and was left dealing with automated systems that proved completely inadequate. I've now missed the deadline I was hoping to get my parcel to it's destination and have potentially lost a huge client. What a crappy service. Don't even bother with these guys!

Delivery driver rude and unhelpful. Doesn't follow delivery instructions. This is the 3rd time we've had deliveries by this courier, and each time the driver has failed to follow instructions.

I shipped my items and clothes from Egypt to Canada. First, the bags were delayed 33 days from the date that was agreed upon.  Second, the bags were searched so poorly that the clothes arrived very dirty.  Third, and most importantly, they stole a lot of things from my bags. Many clothes and personal items. Unfortunately, you are a company that doesn't have any credibility in dealing with it and there is no insurance on the shipment.  I spoke to customer service in Egypt, they didn't give me any solution, and in Canada as well.  Can you tell me how do I get my stolen items back or at least do an investigation on how they disappeared, or at least offer some kind of compensation as a last resort... I'm missing stuff estimated at around $ 560!! I will never repeat dealing with DHL again.  I do not advise anyone to deal with them, and I will publish this review everywhere on Social Meda so that those customers dealing with you will be careful

Useless. Contacted, several times, by DHL saying that 4 crates (costing several thousand) would be delivered 'by end of day' on a specific date. Towards the end of the day, still no delivery. DHL website provides conflicting delivery information - part of the site says due for delivery, another part says it is still at the depot. Basically a completely wasted day waiting in so far. Of course, no way to contact them - live chat is inundated so they're not even letting people join a waiting list. Automatic customer service line has no option to speak to a human. Automated system doesn't even recognise the tracking number which is working on their site. Utterly atrocious company. Will never, ever, use them if I need to send an outgoing parcel.

Delivery was left on doorstep despite instructions clearly printed on parcels to leave in shed. Driver rang door bell and left before checking someone was in. This is not acceptable and not the 1st time we've had issues with this courier.

A 1 star review is too generous. I ordered cookies to a friend and paid £8 for Saturday delivery. They not only failed to deliver but did not bother to let me know they wouldn’t, they sent it to a facility the wrong side of the country. I then got in contact to ask the package be left with a neighbour if they’re not home when they redelivered it on a weekday (thus sat). They then failed to deliver again and didn’t attempt communication or the other address. They then responded to my email complaint with an admittance of fault but not even an apology. Incompetence and rudeness.

DHL was working in conjunction with Dunelm to deliver a single bed frame I ordered. They both boasted that the item would arrive on Friday 30th April. They both sent me an email & text to confirm this. Come Friday, there were no texts or emails from either of them & in the end there was no delivery. DHL even say if they can't deliver on the day they will deliver the next day. This did not happen either. Contact customer service & all they did was send an email with a case number & said they would respond within 3 days. They are showing total comtempt to not just me but all the Customers who have spent their hard earned money to purchase goods online only for incompetent delivery services like DHL & other courier services to screw up & they are so blaise about it. So now I have to spend more time sleeping on a mattress on the floor with a foot injury & a testicular condition which is not ideal. I will find out if I can take this matter any further !

(1) You click on a link in an english email and you get a page all in Japanese with no option to choose english. (2) The option for shipping method only includes non-scheduled options. If you chose to wait for the scheduled shipment, nothing happens. You could wait forever and it would not be delivered. (3) Finally when you call them they cannot deliver as scheduled and you still have to wait. Worst service ever and horribly OVER-PRICED!!

Actually my family sent me a parcel from our country using our poste express services if i knew that will be over DHL i will not accept it all. My parcel came in total disaster (food item, some spices and sweets). I can understand that you will open for safety check but at least you can close it later before sending it to next destination. Very bad experience and will never use ur services again.

I’m only rating DHL one star because minus stars aren’t possible. I though other couriers were bad, but DHL are without a doubt the worst courier I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I ordered a new phone through my business and the driver said my 75 year old house was “inaccessible” - at least that’s what the tracking info said. I rearranged delivery for today and the driver arrives over an hour earlier than DHL had texted, obviously at the only time I was out today. That’s when the fun and games started. The driver left the package on my neighbours doorstep, then took it back, even though my neighbour asked him to leave it. He of course denied it, even though I have the footage in glorious 4K high definition. You cannot get through to DHL’s “customer service” until after the delivery time has passed. Now as he was early, by the time they condescended to allow me a (telephone) audience, this was already a good two hours after the driver had refused to leave the package with my neighbour (I might add at this juncture, that this was even after I confirmed that he should leave it with said neighbour). As my order was a company order, it “failed data protection” because it’s in the company’s name and not my own, despite the fact that it is run from my home address and I am a director (the wife is the other). Needless to say after this delightful exchange, my conversations with “customer services” would have made a sailor blush and would require a “15” certificate at least should they decide to listen to said calls for “training and quality purposes”. Training, maybe. Quality? Not from DHL, not by a long shot. On the plus side, as my business expands, I can tell you who definitely will not be couriering my parcels. I wouldn’t trust them to deliver a newspaper, let alone anything of value. If you’ve read this far, go elsewhere for your courier needs: anywhere will do. This is the absolute bottom of the barrel, so it’s only up from here.
