“Re the staff in the Borehamwood store. An act of serious kindness to be sure, and I applaud the staff concerned. However, this is not indicative of this company at all, and the stars awarded should only reflect that kindness of an individual store. Re the store with sniffing etc checkout staff. Maybe you could name the store concerned?”
“Zero stars I'm afraid. Really concerned that you have staff on the till with symptoms of a cold. How do you know its a cold and not mild symptoms of covid19?”
“Fantastic customer service from members of staff in the Borehamwood store. My Mother in law who is 83 went to the store for the first time when she went to pay she didn’t have her bag to pay, she believed that her bag had been taken from her. She was understandably very upset. My Husband and I arrived to find a very tearful Mum. Staff had looked at the ctv footage and saw she had arrived to the store without her bag. I found it in her car. In the mean time the staff wouldn’t accept any payment for the food she had bought and gave her flowers. In this time of madness it is good to know that there are kind and helpful people who look after our parents when we are not about. Thank you 😊”
“Typical. 10 apart? 10 feet? Guess so. 80 in at a time!! Shocking. That's far too many, but would be about right for Aldi. Even my local Morrisons, which is massive, are not allowing that many in at a time under the present circumstances. Shame on Aldi.”
“Just braved it to ALDI people spaced out 10 apart outside the store. Only 80 people in at a time. Counted in and out. Guess what. There is food and drink and bog rolls. No pushing and shoving bags of room a slow pace and an enjoyable experience no contact with people I was wearing gloves and paid by card.
Kudos to them. Organised people.”
“Here here. Not at all surprised by this behaviour and further proof just how nasty Aldi really is. Once again it is the elderly who are getting the flack. Don't this company have an ounce of decency in them at all? Seems not. Great that you gave store name BRADFORD CLAYTON, but very unlikely anything will be done about it. Try Lidl.”
“Hello
I wish to complain about a team member, me and my wife are over 60+, we went to your Bradford clayton store on Tuesday, and have been regular customer since open. We went inside the store NOT noticing your small sign that stated only one member from the household could enter the store at that time. She was VERY rude and told us one must leave at once. If we had know your rules which we have not seen on your web site only one of use would have entered the store. I under stand that its very hard working in a store at this time.
But 1. THIS VIRUS WILL END.
2. CUSTOMER HAVE A LONG MEMORY.
3. TALK TO CUSTOMER THE SAME WAY YOU WISH TO BE SPOKEN TO.”

“Good grief. Wouldn't you have thought that this now proven nasty little company would have compassion for the less able during these troubling times, but no. Having witnessed this company behaviour during normal times I too am disgusted. People will not forget when this is all over. Are they still allowing four of anything when all others are limiting to less? Almost certainly is my guess. It is a shame that the stores in question were not named. Why not come back on and do so?”
“Aldi I'm very disappointed in your behaviour you are allowing more people in your stores than at a football match. You are assisting the spread of a terrible virus. Shame on you I witnessed people clambering over each other to get to the shelves. Take some responsibility. Get a system in place to book a shopping slot or similar. Disgusted.”
“I’m a pensioner and have shopped In your stores for years, but alas the treatment I’m getting at the moment is disgusting, it’s hurry up put food back into trolley and pack on back shelves, I have never done this in the past and told the cashier this, there answer was, then I’ve been lucky as that is your policy. The attitude is pay up and get out. So I will be shopping elsewhere, where the customer service is better.”
“Why were you visiting three stores if all had fully stocked shelves? One is left wondering if you were stocking up and getting round their 4 items per customer. Can there be another reason? It is the super fast checkout staff that are their biggest complaint. Are you an area manager? Their stores are smaller than most so keeping shelves stocked is not a big issue.”
“I have to congratulate your staff at the stores (3 that I have visited this week) for the amount of stocked shelves there are. In these difficult times the staff are doing over and above for the public. Other stores however do not come anywhere near. The staff were stacking shelves as quick as they could, the till staff were cheery and super fast. Well done!”
“I suppose I should say I am surprised but alas I cannot. Inspite of all the adverse publicity of how this company treats the elderly and less able they are at it again. This time by limiting certain items like toilet rolls to 4 per person. How disgraceful. While Morrisons and others are limiting them to two!! Once again Aldi stand accused of lack of care. Who needs 4 of each item unless hoarding? What about the elderly etc? Don't they matter? What happens when they cannot buy anything? Shame on anyone who shows their lack of care. It is truly shameful, selfish and beyond belief and understanding.”
“Tash from Southport branch was a lovely polite and very helpful young lady ,she went above and beyond .

“I have an item I purchased from Aldi under a 3 year warranty but unfortunately lost the receipt, I purchased it in Sep 2017. It failed two weeks ago. I have the Aldi box, the Aldi instruction manual and the item even has a manufacturing date stamped on it. I also have a bank statement showing when it was purchased. Despite very conflicting advice upon my several contacts with Aldi including " We didn't sell the item" and "a copy of your bank statement will suffice" - which they later retracted, Aldi resolutely refuse to replace the item or refund it. I have spent £1,000's with Aldi - no more. There customer service sucks, they re not in the least interested in looking after their customers and they have lost this one for the sake of refunding a £65 item. They don't deserve any business.”
“every day there are cos lettuce left on the shelf manday at 5,30 there was still 4 full boxs back in the 50s cos lettuce was no i now 10 today iceberg is no 1 and cos lettuce is bottom of the list the buyer at aldi does not know why and they did not teach him at school yet aldi employed him with no of the fruit / veg trade as an expert and no more about than any one in the uk if you need more imf0rmation iwill meet face to face but not on the phone”
“to all shopkeepers boycott aldi every day i buy what i need for my staff as i have 13 tea coffe bread cakes and salad for lunch at 5pm borehamwood have no manager to make a complaintwe use 4/6 long lettuce a day 8 staff are vegetarians so they eat a lot of lettuce and there not rabbits .mon.i was told only 4 so i left all my shopping and havegone to another store and spoke to the manager and he said no problem . and i did all my shopping as i normally at aldi. now i have a new store to go to day i only spent £286 the manager was delighted and said wow . i shall use this store daily instead of aldi”
“I've just shopped at Aldi in New Oscott, Sutton Coldfield. Bearing in mind the current situation we all find ourselves in, I was so impressed by the shoppers at this particular ALDI. With reference to the "Loo Roll" crisis Aldi had a delivery and everyone walked out of there with only 2 packs each. Nobody went to take more or fill there trolleys. That meant there was enough for everyone who needed this morning. Thank you shoppers and Aldi, New Oscott”
