“Waiting for my third 6 bottle online order since lockdown. Unlike other supermarkets, they take your money within 24 hours, then on my last order they tell me one bottle is out of stock, again unlike other supermarkets taking online orders, I cant replace with it with another bottle nor have I received a refund of £7.99 owed to me. No doubt I'll get the money they owe me at some point, but owing you money days in advance, then to be told they cant fulfil your order and also not allowing you to replace the the item with another is rank poor service.”
“To whom this may concern I was a customer at store number 18 today for the first time. I went inside the store to purchase one thing a cartridge of butter. I absolutely love the fact that the store is well organized and clean. It was very easy for me to find the item that I was looking for, as well as other things because they were in the correct spot and labeled correctly.
Unfortunately my first time experience at the store was not all so great. I was never greeted at the door or greeted by anyone in that store when I first walked in . By this being my first time experience at the store I was not sure where the butter or other items were located at .
I unfortunately had to circle back twice around the store looking for the butter, because no one in the store ever approached me to see if I needed any assistance or help.
I was only approached by a man named Tony Ramirez when I was leaving out the store. He approached me in a very aggressive unprofessional bothering way regarding a receipt. He stated that he never once saw me purchase The item which was in my hand, so he needed proof of the purchase.
I stated to him that I was in the line with the young lady, and I have the receipt and change in my hand. He still insisted that he had to see the receipt which I showed him. Before Showing him the receipt he stated to me that he saw me double back walking around the store. Which indeed I did looking for the butter as well as other items that were in the store that I one day was hoping to purchase. I will no longer purchase any items or anything from this location or any ALDI store matter of fact. Never did I get a welcome or as well as a thank you for coming. Also when I walked inside the store Mr. Tony was helping a customer who stated that she was missing some fruit l, but he said it wasn’t on her receipt. When the young lady left Mr. Tony said out loud I don’t know who this lady think she was fooling, but I wasn’t having it she has to go on somewhere else with all of that and I quote. That was very unprofessional of him, and a supervisor or manager should conduct business with customers or in front of customer in that matter. In my opinion Mr. Tony needs to be taught again customer service ,and professionalism. I would not recommend this store to any of my friends and family.”
“Doesn't the previous review say it all about this company. It is complete and utter nonsense to say this is government policy...one person per trolley. It IS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I despair with this shocking company and would advise everyone to go somewhere else. No decency anywhere with this shower. No compassion, no caring about the elderly and disabled. As if that is not enough their goods are seriously nasty too. I wish I could give MINUS five as their score.”
“My Husband and I were shopping at out local Aldi successfully once a week during the recent crisis. My Husband is over 70 and we found the system in place adequate and reassuring and we were able to shop within and hour. However that has all changed as we turned up to shop and were told that it was one person per trolley as per government guidelines. Nowhere on the government website does it state that you have to shop alone. We now shop elsewhere as do other couples we know. I have emailed Aldi and placed this review as I was surprised to see a review from a shopper from Walkden stating that she and her Husband shopped together. Its bad enough for older people in the current situation but this system makes you feel like a second rate person. I doubt that they would turn away a family with children.”
“Aldi don’t let key workers go In first were every other superstore dose Like lidl, Tesco, iceland, this Is very bad All key workers should stop going to aldi Name n shame aldi in pandemic time”
“If I could give no stars I would......ordered 7 items, including pre-ordered item....got the pre-ordered item still waiting for the 6 “in stock” items.
Spent an hour on phone trying to find out where things stood, was told they waiting for courier, felt customer agent wanted to move on ASAP
3-10 working days delivery window.......couriers and Aldi are both 7 day a week operations so by definition the delivery should be here within 10 days.
No doubt I’ll have to waste more time next week trying to get through, absolutely shambolic!”
“My Husband and I went to the walkden store today, its only the second time we have been out since lockdown, I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff from security to shop floor for the way you handled things,as pensioners we were very grateful and it was a pleasure to do a nice shop after not being able to go out for a while, thanks again to you all.”
“Food parcel ordered April 24th with quoted delivery of 2/3 days. Now May 6th and no parcel.
Only contact is via Hermes who can't say when or where it will be delivered.
Never again Aldi”
“Re my last review I'd left the wrong rating button checked but to be fair to Aldi, from a value perspective I feel they have been good until now. What worries me is the two examples I quoted could be an indication of that value starting to erode.”
“The previous review gave five stars for a bad review. That is very odd indeed. However, you learn by visiting this company and buying their stock. Then you know how wise it is to buy elsewhere.”
““Belmont Oaties” used to have a perfect combination of flavour and a crunchy texture but now the replacement “Crumbly Oaties” have neither of these qualities, and frankly taste bland.
The “Village Bakery Fruit Loaf” has had its fruit and fresh peel content reduced to the point where what was once something especially enjoyable is now boring, just like ordinary bread with a few currants thrown in.
Starting with these two products will this be an Aldi trend, reducing quality and charging the same price?”
“No communication when my delivery got cancelled and still no reply to my email they still have my money and now they are getting my item returned to them complete joke will never use Aldi again after this word of wise do not order online with these jokers you will not get your money back”
“Ordered garden planters from Aldi ...did not wish to shop in store as I usually would do due to situation at present....my planters were delivered free & in good time ....will definitely use this way of buying from Aldi again”
“I spoke to a lovely girl called Andrea. I queried the price of a planter. I had it wrong but she was do pleasant and did not make me feel like an idiot. Very professional and personable.”
