AVOID! Items not delivered and dates continue to change. Customer service terrible. Still trying to get my refund.

I understand that during these unusual times we can expect delays but the after care service on faulty goods has not been good. I have waited for two weeks for a call back, email, something! But it is strange that when phoning to make a new purchase you can get through to speak to someone in no time at all. That is eventually how my notification that my goods were faulty got addressed. Have at last been informed via email that the item will be collected for an engineer to check before the company will consider a refund, which will then take a further month to action. The machine won't even switch on. Plus there was an item missing. A disappointed customer.

Did not leave a card to say they had been with my delivery of a new Bosch Dishwasher. When I got the wrapping off it had a Large dent in the side. Have been offered £30 in compensation!

Delivery service was absolutely useless, they just dropped the heavy package (a full size cooker on our driveway and left before we could check it in their presence. My wife and I are both 79 years of age. How do we move it into the house, we don’t have the necessary equipment. Disgusting service. Syd Lyon

They were not the cheapest despite their claims but said they'd deliver within 5 days so placed my order with a member of staff not on line. Large screen TV very expensive. Agreed the delivery date. Took the day off (I work in the care industry) Arrow XL their shipping company then cancelled on the morning. Their system showed it was delivered??? Heard nothing so chased both AD and Arrow XL. Impossible to get through. Eventually got an eMessage telling me to contact shipping company!!! Not my job and they don't answer telephone or emails anyway. Now chasing for a refund but they want to hold on to my money. Probably the worst company I've ever dealt with. Make promises they don't keep and arrogant telephone manner makes you seethe. WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN

Awful service from UK-Appliances. Website says they let you know delivery dates within 48 hours. 2 weeks on from the order date of 16 May and still no communication so emailed and called, but heard nothing. Also contacted their ‘sister’ company Paul Turnham Kitchens (this name was on my PayPal receipt) on social media who were slightly better at getting back to me but still couldn’t give me a delivery date. Got an email from Uk-appliances saying due to the lockdown they weren’t working! They were quick enough to take my money. If they weren’t operating they should have closed their website to orders. Now at 2 June and they are ‘just startIng’ to put orders through their suppliers again so it might be 7+ working days until I receive my order. I have now asked for a full refund. Fed up of the lack of communication and being messed around. Do not buy from this disorganised company.

Dishwasher delivery didn't arrive on due date and I got an email saying it would be delayed for a week. Couldn't reach anyone on customer service number - wait time 98 minutes. Had arranged to be home and no notice that delivery was delayed and an extra week of washing dishes. Terrible service, don't use!

They asked me to write a review, for an item I should have received on Wednesday but didn't, then I should have received it today, but I haven't, and both times i have received an email from the logistics company telling me they can't find my fridge that I ordered. Appliance Direct have no idea what's going on and have been very poor with communication. I would just like my fridge delivered or a full refund, but until Appliance Direct and their delivery company learn to communicate properly I fear I will receive neither. Poor show on customer service, I know things go wrong but it shouldn't be the customer who is doing all the chasing yet still completely in the dark. Stay safe all.

Shockingly bad delivery service. Now have two damaged fridges after two weeks of failed delivery dates. Including blood on the packaging. Will never use this company again.

The delivery... or lack of was an absolute shambles. No one in the company knew what was going on... At one point I was told it had been delivered.. When it hadn't. It took me to call the delivery company myself to find out what was happening. The customer services line is an expensive number to ring which is shocking in itself... And if you email it takes days for them yo reply! In the end they agreed it had not been delivered and still waiting for a refund. I would recommend paying an extra 10 - 15 pounds and ordering from a reliable company like AO. Price is not everything.

Absolute disgrace of a company. I bought a dishwasher online it came the next day as they said, the item is damaged they cut you of if you ring the won’t answer emails or text messages the only response I’ve had is to offer £50 of and to keep it I don’t want a damaged item just replace with a new one or at least get back to me, don’t touch them quick enough to take your money but no customer service on after sales total disgrace.

Terrible service. Changed delivery date the evening before delivery by email and just stated a new date. Not answering phones or returning calls. I used them to save £22 on a £600 appliance, but in future I will use the nomal company I use and pay the extra £22 and get a good service.

will not honour 12 month guarantee beware! i purchased a gas cooker in august 2019 and in early may this year the oven started to just randomly switch off during cooking. if i keep the temperature high all the time it seems ok [for a while] but as soon as i attempt to reduce the temperature, the oven just cuts out. i emailed them on 18th may to explain and to ask them to either repair or replace under the terms of the guarantee. on 19th may i received this reply: Hello there, Thank you for your e message. Please accept my sincere apologies in regards to the issue below. The first step to report a fault item is to contact the manufacturer direct. Your user manual will provide troubleshooting help and a number dedicated to the service team – the service team will assist in sending an expect engineer to resolve the issue with your machine. The manufacturer will take lots of information from you in relation to the issue you wish to report and suggest the best remedy from that stage. Alternatively, the information can be located by visiting the online link below;l If there is anything else we can help with, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards Laura Hunt Customer Services Team i replied [same day] explaining: legally, i have a contract according to the Sale and Supply of Goods Act, and that contract is with you, the retailer/seller , appliance direct, are the people who i paid my money to, and not the manufacturer. Any rights that i have against the manufacturer, such as a warranty, are in addition to my legal rights in consumer law. and so i don’t have to rely on that. a customers first port of call should always be the shop or company who supplied/sold it to me. in other words.... i purchased from appliance direct NOT the manufacturer. since then i have emailed 6 times asking for an update, and advice on this faulty appliance. they have sent an automated email saying they will be in touch with 48 hours. NO REPLY WHATSOEVER! please think very carefully about buying from this company, because its obvious the 12 month guarantee is useless. because once they have taken your money, they just are not interested and have zero interest in after sales customer care. i now have the hassle of reporting them to trading standards, and seeking legal advice from my solicitor. is it really worth losing customers, over such a small issue? i seriously don't know how company's like this expect to survive, and personally, i hope they don't they operate in an unfair and illegal way. shame on you appliance direct

I had 7 appliance costing close to £5,000 delivered on Friday, the American fridge was damaged. I had an email to confirm they would give me £150 or replace or refund, but 8 days on I have been unable to speak with anyone, and all my emails are ignored. I also took out extended warranties on all the products, which I’ll be cancelling as a result. Very poor after service. Shop elsewhere.

The worst customer service ever. I ordered a cooker hood from them. The cooker hood arrived damaged. I reported that trough their data base including uploading a pictures. It has been a very difficult process. I was waiting few days for reply. After 5 days I received a text saying that they can refund me £30 if I keep the cooker hood. For what I will need a damaged cooker hood a? The most silly offer that I have ever received. Just to me make it clear I wanted a new cooker hood or like to like I didn't want money back. I did try to contact them again waiting few hours on their phone line , at the end someone has answered the call and then closed the line. NO reply on my emails. I have reported them to Citizen Advice , will not recommend to anybody any of their services. Avoid !

Ordered goods, reached delivery date one month later informed by email goods not available. Danny in customer service was appalling in his manner and lack of concern, not even an apology. Danny was not prepared to offer anything to compensate for the inconvenience and disappointment and Didn’t care less. Avoid this unreliable and poor service company

Absolute awful company! I ordered a tv on Friday morning and paid extra for next day delivery. They even rang me on the Friday evening to talk about delivery but was pressuring me to get insurance/cover I had to put the phone down. Saturday comes and I found it weird as I was waiting for a time slot/phone call which they said would happen. But nothing turned up not even as much as a email to let me know. Online just saying no tracking available it’s not Monday evening and still no TV they are impossible to get hold off, feel like I’ve been scammed over £300. I’ve put a request for a refund just hope I can easily get my money back. PLEASE DONT USE THESE, your regret it

Awful service and even worse customer care Ordered new cooker on 7th May paid for cooker and extra for next day delivery Received confirmation of delivery for Friday 8th Then received email to say could not delivery next day as BH Delivery promised for Sat 9th Then received email to say could not deliver Sat 9th would deliver Monday 11th between 2pm and 4 pm Tracking on 11th also show same info Email at 4pm to.say delivery not until 5 30pm Email at 5pm to say could not deliver today as driver had run out of time Unable to contact anyone by phone or email so far today I would not advise anyone to rely on this company for either a promised delivery or decent customer care £600 down and unable to cook Living on microwave mealsand sandwiches The worst frustration is that no one cares Do not use this company

Completely bad experience do not use them go to someone else. Our cooker is broken On Thursday 7th May we ordered a new cooker from this company We paid extra for next day delivery a total of nearly 600 pounds We were then contacted to say they hadn't realised it was BH on Friday 8th May so would deliver Sat 9th May. We then were contacted to day delivery would not be until Monday 11th. No reason given Delivery time was 2pm to 4 pm 5pm had an email to say would not be there until 5 30 pm Then e mail to say driver had run out of time and delivery would not be made Several emails and calls later all initiated by us were told not sure when they could deliver maybe Friday So £600 down when husband is not working due to covid19 No cooker No delivery date Living on microwave meals and sandwiches Been trying for last 2 hours to get response from company No reply to email No reply to phone calls keep getting cut off If could give them no stars I would have Terrible service No customer care at all Got our money so not interested if can't cook a meal Totally unreliable

Unbelievably bad service I can not believe how bad this service is. Bought a new TV which has a fault but after days of endless phone calls and emails, #appliancesdirect continue to give excuses to refund me even though I asked for this to be returned within 3 hours of receiving the faulty LED TV. They refuse to honour the 14-day cooling-off period with endless time-wasting games so that the 14 days expire. Today I received my 8th email stating I now have to wait another 3 days for the technical team to review the photo I sent to prove the fault. 72 hours to look at a photo! After I had already received an email stating I needed to wait 48 hours to pass my return request to the technical team. I find it really insulting that Appliances direct treat their customers with contempt as well as treating them like fools
