I ordered a gas hob to find out when it was delivered that they had sent me a pedestal fan. (Very random) When I rang they were going to collect the fan and re send me a new hob. Nothing happened. Called again to find out the hob I had ordered was now out of stock. I now have to wait in another day for them to collect the fan before I can have my money back. As they wouldn’t allow me to have another hob that was a bit more expensive as a gesture of goodwill for all the messing about I have had to do. Not great service.

I ordered a mobile phone (Moto G7 Plus) from this company.within a couple of weeks of arriving it became clear that there was a fault with the speaker of the phone. Appliances direct will not even engage, they just sent the phone number of Motorola support and then stop responding. Avoid this Company at all costs.

paid £1300 for a new cooker which arrived broken. Customer services did not care less and just told me to contact the supplier. The oven should be changed immediately.

Huawei p smart, refurbished. This phone had bad connectivity,with signal and 4g and is well documented online. Appliances direct refused me a refund, stating that their tech guys said it was ok. My sim worked fine in my old Huawei. Hopefully PayPal will get my money back. Please be warned peeps.

BE PREPARED TO BE WITHOUT AN APPLIANCE FOR WEEKS, ENDURE SEVERAL BROKEN DELIVERY DATES AND SPEND HOURS TRYING TO RESOLVE ISSUE Worst customer service ever. Two delivery dates broken (two wasted days - 12 hour delivery shot) Third uplift - DX Deliveries went to address in England instead of Scotland. Fourth delivery - informed by DX Deliveries that delivery would not take place and would need to arrange a FIFTH delivery date. After venting my annoyance and frustration, they eventually agreed to send another van to uplift oven. NEVER AGAIN!!

Avoid this company like the plague. Less than honest and give you the run around when a new item that you purchase is faulty. More than two weeks of trying to deal with their less than helpful customer service department and still no resolution and still £300 out if pocket. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Scam mongers!

On order delivery was scheduled for a Wednesday. I had two emails confirming this to be so. Great. Booked the day off work. 1 hour later received three further emails, one from AD and two from Hotpoint telling me that the item previous claimed to have 'left our warehouse' would now be delivered by Hotpoint on Friday. VERY inconvenient and expensive (two days off work rather than one). AD not concerned when I spoke to them on the 'phone. Hopeless customer service. AVOID.

Appliances direct have changed my order date 5 times now, each a few days before the items are due after having to arrange days off work. Still not received two months later. Premium number to call them also which is a further insult to injury. They are quick enough to place your order and let you purchase items, no mention of issues with stock or whatever nonsense they come out with. Would never recommend them to anyone! Please don’t order from them

I have dealt with this company previously and had good service, however, my recent experience was poor. I ordered an air purifier/ioniser in April, had an email in May to say it was delayed and then heard nothing. When I started to try to cancel the order last week, one phone number passed me to a further number unavailable, chat unavailable. Finally I cancelled on-line and low and behold had an almost immediate email to say 'it's on its way' then a further email to acknowledge the cancellation. It arrived on the 20th July, 3 months over-due. Do you think this is good service? Naturally the lack of communication and apology I found intensely annoying.

Ordered an oven and microwave from these cowboys. Microwave missing the tray and the screws. Been in contact with them for over 4 weeks, keep being promised that parts have been "sent out", then the next week I get an email from another person saying they haven't and so forth, x5. The microwave, although from the same range as the oven, and supposedly "matt black" is a complete different colour to the oven. They've completely ignored this fact after they asked for pictures, which were sent in 2 weeks ago. Last promise was that things will be resolved "within 24 hours" and guess what? Heard nothing from them now for close to a week! *shock* Will be starting a claim with the small claims court, and I encourage anyone else having a similar experience to do the same. Stay well clear!!!

Absolute joke, ordered new washing machine and paid to get old one uplifted, new machine damaged and delivery drivers did not take old one away as not on job sheet, customer service non existant, phoned, emailed, still waiting for damaged machine and old one to be picked up, after 2 weeks, have now been told machine out of stock till mid August!!communication terrible, asked for full refund and ordered new machine from a other supplier . Avoid

Shocking customer service inconsistency with every member of. staff you speak to.. paid for next day delivery no item after much frustration trying to cancel order which isn't proving easy! Very unprofessional I am awaiting my £400+refund. Ordred from a more professional company that knows what they are doing! AVOID!

Bought a Siemens microwave combo oven. When it was received the packing looked like it had come from eBay! Inappropriate packaging. When opened broken glass fragments fell out the box, the back of the unit looked like it was hot by a cricket bat, there was food on the door hinges and the whole front of the oven was badly scratched. On top of all this it didn’t work. It was obviously a well used second hand oven that had the glass door replaced. I have now been trying for over a month to get a refund after the oven was returned to them. This return was authorised by AD but each time they are contacted the refund will be 2-5 days. They NEVER honour this. Beware of using this company

The phone i bought was advertised as in pristine condition and unlocked. However it was locked on an unknown network and when I called appliances direct they offered me £20 refund to have the phone unlocked which i agreed to. As i did not know the network of the phone, the mobile phone repair shops could not unlock the phone for me so I returned it. Appliances direct received the phone 4 plus weeks ago but are yet to refund me. Rubbish customer service.

Ordered a TV and it arrived damaged, reported in with photos within 20 mins of it arriving. I then received an email a few days later saying it would be collected on the 10th. The 10th came no one arrived. Called up customer service to be told it would now be 14th! Swapped shifts at work to be home on 14th and in the morning I called up to confirm that a hot swap would take place today (new tv delivered damaged one taken) was told yes it was, I asked for the couriers number to double check. When I called the courier they said no we have it for tomorrow the 15th!! Called appliances direct to tell them they “apologised” I said I’d taken day off work could I talk to a manager. No point he says the manager will tell you the same. Next day 15th courier arrives but only to collect the damaged TV 🤦‍♂️ Back on the phone again a lady apologises and says it’ll be with you tomorrow. Absolute shambles of a company. I’d never buy from them again.

I have been waiting for four weeks to get a date for collection of a dishwasher, although they have accepted to replace it and given me a returns ref number: 7780928. So I have an excellently packaged dishwasher occupying space in my garage While we wait to hear of a collection date. I would not use again. Believe using the current crisis as an excuse to hang on to our money.

The Salesmen lied about having a product in stock. We asked specifically if the refrigerator was in stock and in the back before we bought it. Paid for it and said we could pick it up the next day. Drive from Sebastian to Melbourne, only to find out they don't have our Refrigerator nor any in stock and won't get a delivery until tomorrow. Then another sales associate only said" Well, I don't know what you want me to do." How about see if you can fix the problem or give me the one off the floor. Instead, just struggled it off. If it doesn't come tomorrow, we will get a refund of our $1200.
