Placed an order for a cook hood, called up after 2 days to check on delivery only to be told it's in a port, they wouldn't confirm weather this was a port in china or the UK but advised it was now showing delivery date of OCTOBER! No e-mails or calls to tell us this, would have waited weeks for this! Order cancelled! I'd strongly advise if you are looking to buy from this company you call to check stock first! Unfortunately won't be using again!

Ordered and paid for a new washer which promised on their web site to be delivered the following Monday.After changing shifts received an e mail saying it would be delivered the following Monday instead.Had day off work only to be told after ringing them that it wasn’t available until October!! No notifications,nothing .will not use again. They were quick to ring up for insurance cover though within an hour of purchasing.

Delivered Faulty wine fridge,absolutely terrible experience trying to get hold of anyone to talk to and when you finally do they try to make it as hard as possible to resolve the issue finally after two months they are going to refund for the fridge but not the £29.99 for the delivery why should I be out of pocket by £30 for them delivering a faulty item this is also not stated in there own section returning a faulty item sort yourselves out Appliances Direct terrible customer service

I started writing this review and decided to stop as it made me so angry that I even attempted to try and explain the fill horror of my experience with this company. In short, I was warned by someone else not to deal with appliancesdirect.com (also part of the same company who own buydirect.co.uk and laptops direct.co.uk) as they lie about having items in stock and then outsource the delivery to other companies who don't care. When you try to speak to someone when it goes wrong (and it will) it is impossible to try and get hold of anyone. I have been waiting weeks for delivery, the third party logistics companies keep changing the delivery tie at the last minute and in general the service and customer care is non-existing.

Delivery date was changed 5 or 6 times, final delivery date was 6th of September. I received an email like you were doing me a big favour stating you could deliver on 31st August, bearing in mind my first date was the 4th or 6th (so many changes I can't remember) August. On the 30th August I had a text telling me delivery will be 31st between 10:41 And 14:41 with the driver calling me 30 minutes before arrival. Half hour later I get an email stating the same. 1 minute later I get another email saying it will be delivered on the 6th of September. Now I dont have a clue when it's coming, no point calling as it takes an age to get through. Well it did turn up on the 31st, but no call to say it's on its way. Lucky I didn't go out thinking it was coming on the 6th.

My customer service experience has been non-existent, despite paying for next day delivery my bathroom still hasn't arrived nearly a week later. I couldn't cancel with Appliances direct because I couldn't get a response from anyone, I ended up cancelling with Palletways, now I'm struggling again to get any response from AP about a refund. The good stuff was that the product arrived and the delivery guys were polite and helpful........BUT......... 1. Online order stated delivery would be from “the following day” but when order made and apid for the actual delivery date was weeks later Because fitters were only in my area on Tuesdays 3. Tracking delivery online isnt available on the day....maybe sub contracting? 2. Interim phone calls about the delivery said we would get a Four hour window and then the driver would call an hour before delivery. The 4 hour window didn't happen so had to cancel the whole day. The delivery driver rang 15 mins before arrival Not hugely impressed but at least we got a new cooker after over 3 weeks having to use the BBQ

Dont be conned by their offer of a complete service! I ordered a fridge freezer from you for one reason only, you offered a full service which I needed e.g. Order, delivery and recycle. The last element was the critical difference within the timeframe I had. The item was delivered to our holiday home on time and first thing. I received 2 emails and one message telling me what to do with thje recycled item; disconnect it, leave it in an accessible place and most importantly ensure it is dry and no water inside. I diligently did all of the above. When the driver rang me to tell me he would be with me in and hour I told him that the recycled item was waiting in the correct condition he said they didn't collect another van did that. Smelling a rat I tried to contact your office but it was pre-9am. THEN Suddenly a text arrives telling me that you cant recycle the old one and I would have to get rid of it myself. I would be refunded my £19.99. I then got an email n a somewhat congratulatory style from yourselves 2 hrs later telling me that I had been refunded. If you could not do the recycling I'd have bought it from Currys and had the whole thing done next Tuesday with free delivery. Instead you left me with the problem!! I have managed to get a man and a van to recycle it for me for £50!! and it will go later this afternoon as I'm not allowed to have it sitting outside my lodge. Having worked in retail for 30 years pre retirement your service is appalling and I will not buy anything from you again as telling me 20 mins pre delivery that you cant collect is shocking practise! I would be ashamed. I warn other people of your poor practise. Would never use again!

I ordered a table top freezer to be delivered on a specific day. They delivered it a DAY EARLIER and rang me at work to say that they had arrived! They left the freezer at a local cafe but I could lift it myself so had to ask for help. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I order from this company . Bad service

Goods arrived damaged, put back in box cut my thumb open, emailed straight away sent pictures, tried phoning told they would ring back never did, in fact wasn’t acknowledged for 3 days and told I needed to fill a form in which I couldn’t get on for another 2 days. They still haven’t acknowledged my injury or told me when there collect it and returning my money. Dreadful communication dreadful company

Absolutely shocking customer service. Non existent. Bought a cooker hood that was faulty. Had to send in a video of the fault. Told me they couldn’t do anything due to file format. Got them to agree to collect after waiting hours on hold. Booked in collection but didn’t turn up. This is happened twice and is still not resolved. Absolute joke

I had to return my air conditioner unit as it was huge and very very noisy. It cost me £45.00 for the return, Appliance Direct would not help sort it out, I had trouble finding a company that would return it for me. Appliance Direct then cancelled the return as they had not heard anything from me for 14 days, it was in fact 10 days. Have tried to get hold of them via the message service as I have health conditions and I do not like using the telephone. The service does not work, tried all day yesterday and this morning. Still not working. I then decided to put in a complaint, the message was sent but it has been three hours and I have not had any acknowledgement, fingers crossed they eventually get back to me. The unit was received at their warehouse last week which is confirmed by DPD. Not really sure what to to do next. It is a lot of money that they owe me and I have no idea how to get this sorted and a refund. Not impressed. Will never buy from them again. Their after service is very bad, none existent.

Two faults in the item delivered and two weeks later I’ve still not spoken with anyone or got a resolution. I’ve called, emailed, raised tickets, even facebooked and it still outstanding. They offer you call backs that don’t materialize and close cases that are still open as they don’t seem to communicate within the company. I’ve truly never experienced such terrible customer service. They are appalling.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a fridge almost 2 months ago setting today as delivery date due to moving in and getting the house prepared. The item was in stock when ordered. Fridge did not get delivered today and only after I rang was I informed it was out of stock and not due in stock till October. What a scam! The advice over the phone was rude and abrupt and offered no apologetic recourse. Do NOT go with this company is my advice. You can find a better deal elsewhere. You don't need the hassle and headache this terrible company will give you. Such a disappointment after months of waiting.

My father is a vulnerable 96 year old who lives alone, as I explained to the delivery man yesterday who said they could not deliver the new freezer in his lorry because my father hadn't moved his broken six foot freezer to the front of the house. He said they could not go inside the house because of Covid and I should have had an email. First, I was receiving only texts and none mentioned the freezer had to be put outside, and secondly the freezer was not in the house but in a completely separate garage, emptied, unplugged and dry as requested in the text. They would have no need to enter his house at all and no one would be put at risk. The delivery man was sarcastic and rude, there was a four wait to speak to the Customer Service team, and I received two replies to my email none of which explained what would happen next. No replies to two further emails today. Meanwhile my father has no food because he is dependent on his freezer as he is not able to get to the shops. Perhaps someone could explain when/if he will get the freezer he paid for or do you not deliver to vulnerable people?
