Avoid this Company if you want good after sales service. My Electriq ( own label) oven broke down 6 months into its warranty period and I was referred to the service company. Impossible to make contact by phone but I was eventually granted a visit 1 month after breakdown. Needless to say the engineer could not repair the product as he did not have the part and no contact from the Service agent 1 month later ! I have requested a refund from Appliances Direct as the product has now been unusable for the last 2 months but all they can offer is an apology ( which doesn’t help when you’re trying to cook food) and a chase of the service company who then tell them they are awaiting spare parts. As this has gone on for 2 months now it’s wearing very thin. You have been warned!!!

Bought a foldable, portable electric scooter, which turned out NOT to be foldable or portable at all - the locking mechanism simply doesn't engage at all no matter how hard you try. Paid the requisite fifteen quid for next day delivery, which took four days and several emails to come into being! Immediately requested that they collect and replace the faulted item. One month later, I am still waiting for satisfaction. They finally collected it a couple of days ago, but still refuse to honour their "no quibble guarantee" despite having demanded and received my video footage of the fault and offering a £45 gift voucher if I were to just shut up and go away! Current status, no scooter, no refund, no replacement, out of pocket, drowning under paperwork to these cowboys known as APPLIANCES DIRECT and will NEVER buy from them again.

Oven turned up and didn't work Called and was told that I would hear back from a trouble shooter in 48 hours then they will book an engineer !!! Told them I want my money back and return it , have to have another day off in 5 days time !! Paid an electrician £70 to fit the oven and will now have to buy from somewhere else and pay again Not good after sales service and ages to get through ok the phone Will never buy from them again as it will cost me £140 I'm electrician fees and 2 days off work

Rubbish company. Ordered a tv cabinet, item was in stock and we paid £20 for delivery. Had a date for delivery, booked time off work for that day. Received an email day before delivery day that item was out of stock. Contact them regarding refund, one told us item would be in stock next week, then another said they could not guarantee stock. Basically, they will take your money even if they have the item or not. Oh, and when we said we wanted our money back, the bloke sulked and hung up on us haha. Avoid and look elsewhere

I was told my washing machine would be collected from outside my front door and a new replacement installed. I waited from 0700 until 1100 as instructed but no-one arrived. The old washing machine is still outside and I have been given a revised delivery of 0700 to 1100 tomorrow despite insisting I would not be home in the morning either tomorrow or Friday. I therefore asked if it could be delivered in the afternoon. Despite having caused me a huge inconvenience by not coming this morning when I had been able to rearrange my day, they have clearly done nothing to accommodate me. I did my best to help them by putting the old machine outside, which is where it is still standing. It was requested in an email that I do this and on 'phoning Customer Service I was told that the email was sent in error. I cannot arrange again to be at home in the morning and it appears they would prefer I cancel my order rather than commit to an afternoon delivery. Incidentally, there were two of us at home this morning in a small house, a loud door knocker and a dog that barks at anyone who comes to the front door. No one knocked, left a note, texted or called to say they were outside. I would not trust them again and their customer care is non existent.

Bought a £1500.00 Miele wine chiller. It arrived laying flat down in an empty van, no straps and is covered in dents. Spoke and emailed five different people each time someone different replied all of who'm kept offering me a small refund. Now they say it's out of stock and discontinued and I have to go through more tooth pulling just to get a decent service. This is rubbish... worse than rubbish

Avoid this company at all costs, prices may be lower on products but that isn't always best as we are finding out. Their customer service is appalling if you want to return anything. Been trying for 4 months to get a refund on a £500 microwave which as already been repaired 3 times with 3 different parts by the manufacture as we were told to call them first and its still not satisfactory. We had to wait until July for the first engineer because it was so hard contacting anyone during lockdown. The Item is only 4 months old. Still waiting for appliances direct /whirlpool to sort. I told them our consumer rights as set out in the 2015 consumer rights act but they just dont care about consumer rights. Made numerous calls and emails to both appliance direct and whirlpool but appliance direct never ring you back. Days off work to wait in for an engineer and days of stress!

I bought my daughter an oven so it was delivered but not plumbed in until a few months later as her kitchen electrics were not finished, the oven element “we think “ has gone as everything else is working, got in touch they said out of warranty, I explained it hadn’t been installed till later but to no avail, long story short the oven has lasted approx 10 months, stay clear

Placed an order for a cook hood, called up after 2 days to check on delivery only to be told it's in a port, they wouldn't confirm weather this was a port in china or the UK but advised it was now showing delivery date of OCTOBER! No e-mails or calls to tell us this, would have waited weeks for this! Order cancelled! I'd strongly advise if you are looking to buy from this company you call to check stock first! Unfortunately won't be using again!

Ordered and paid for a new washer which promised on their web site to be delivered the following Monday.After changing shifts received an e mail saying it would be delivered the following Monday instead.Had day off work only to be told after ringing them that it wasn’t available until October!! No notifications,nothing .will not use again. They were quick to ring up for insurance cover though within an hour of purchasing.

Delivered Faulty wine fridge,absolutely terrible experience trying to get hold of anyone to talk to and when you finally do they try to make it as hard as possible to resolve the issue finally after two months they are going to refund for the fridge but not the £29.99 for the delivery why should I be out of pocket by £30 for them delivering a faulty item this is also not stated in there own section returning a faulty item sort yourselves out Appliances Direct terrible customer service

I started writing this review and decided to stop as it made me so angry that I even attempted to try and explain the fill horror of my experience with this company. In short, I was warned by someone else not to deal with appliancesdirect.com (also part of the same company who own buydirect.co.uk and laptops direct.co.uk) as they lie about having items in stock and then outsource the delivery to other companies who don't care. When you try to speak to someone when it goes wrong (and it will) it is impossible to try and get hold of anyone. I have been waiting weeks for delivery, the third party logistics companies keep changing the delivery tie at the last minute and in general the service and customer care is non-existing.

Delivery date was changed 5 or 6 times, final delivery date was 6th of September. I received an email like you were doing me a big favour stating you could deliver on 31st August, bearing in mind my first date was the 4th or 6th (so many changes I can't remember) August. On the 30th August I had a text telling me delivery will be 31st between 10:41 And 14:41 with the driver calling me 30 minutes before arrival. Half hour later I get an email stating the same. 1 minute later I get another email saying it will be delivered on the 6th of September. Now I dont have a clue when it's coming, no point calling as it takes an age to get through. Well it did turn up on the 31st, but no call to say it's on its way. Lucky I didn't go out thinking it was coming on the 6th.

My customer service experience has been non-existent, despite paying for next day delivery my bathroom still hasn't arrived nearly a week later. I couldn't cancel with Appliances direct because I couldn't get a response from anyone, I ended up cancelling with Palletways, now I'm struggling again to get any response from AP about a refund. The good stuff was that the product arrived and the delivery guys were polite and helpful........BUT......... 1. Online order stated delivery would be from “the following day” but when order made and apid for the actual delivery date was weeks later Because fitters were only in my area on Tuesdays 3. Tracking delivery online isnt available on the day....maybe sub contracting? 2. Interim phone calls about the delivery said we would get a Four hour window and then the driver would call an hour before delivery. The 4 hour window didn't happen so had to cancel the whole day. The delivery driver rang 15 mins before arrival Not hugely impressed but at least we got a new cooker after over 3 weeks having to use the BBQ

Dont be conned by their offer of a complete service! I ordered a fridge freezer from you for one reason only, you offered a full service which I needed e.g. Order, delivery and recycle. The last element was the critical difference within the timeframe I had. The item was delivered to our holiday home on time and first thing. I received 2 emails and one message telling me what to do with thje recycled item; disconnect it, leave it in an accessible place and most importantly ensure it is dry and no water inside. I diligently did all of the above. When the driver rang me to tell me he would be with me in and hour I told him that the recycled item was waiting in the correct condition he said they didn't collect another van did that. Smelling a rat I tried to contact your office but it was pre-9am. THEN Suddenly a text arrives telling me that you cant recycle the old one and I would have to get rid of it myself. I would be refunded my £19.99. I then got an email n a somewhat congratulatory style from yourselves 2 hrs later telling me that I had been refunded. If you could not do the recycling I'd have bought it from Currys and had the whole thing done next Tuesday with free delivery. Instead you left me with the problem!! I have managed to get a man and a van to recycle it for me for £50!! and it will go later this afternoon as I'm not allowed to have it sitting outside my lodge. Having worked in retail for 30 years pre retirement your service is appalling and I will not buy anything from you again as telling me 20 mins pre delivery that you cant collect is shocking practise! I would be ashamed. I warn other people of your poor practise. Would never use again!
