Most of the good reviews about this company are about the delivery service (DPD) which I agree are great and should receive credit separately. Appliances direct/customer service and returns procedure are terrible. Please avoid this company. They are just ignoring me now that I have a return. Yes AP, I will keep posting the truth until you respond to me. And not just here but all my social media platforms.

Terrible Customer Service and return service. . Just make sure that your not not going to want return your item as they suddenly disappear blaming covid- 19. My guess is if they ignore your emails and calls for long enough you'll give up. But at £300.00 I'm not about to. Rang today to see what's happening with arranging pick up of item and pressed 1 for a call back (several times) They do say that if it goes to voicemail then you have to call back. Strange thing is, I was standing by the phone when the phone lit up as if it was going to ring but never did, then went to missed call straight away.....how very clever appliances direct (not) It never rang in first place. So as a customer you think you missed the call... I'm guessing that's going to happen every time they ring me back. So frustrating as there is no way of contacting. Tried there email service for the past week. Got as far as them approving my return and that was that. Nothing since. Disgusting. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this deceitful company, I wish I had. 😤

Had an aircon delivered, had obviously been used before (battery in remote), water coming out of it from the box. Told AD and they told me this was because it been tested in a warehouse! Have arranged a collection/return for Sunday, DPD knows nothing about it. What a terrible experience!

Bought an air con, arrived 3 days later ( i had to chase the courier company) then to receive it and find out its broken...

Manipulating company. They put the price of the unit I ordered by £100 within 2 days. When I rang, the lady said that’s just business. I can’t believe they can manipulate their prices just like that. Would have give zero rating if I could.

Had to have my order for AirPods cancelled because I’m not on the public register.... and I do know know my neighbour and don’t have a landline!?! Not sure what relevance any of this has to an order for headphones!!!

Ordered my appliance online. Paid. The following day was sent an email saying item was not in stock and that someone from the team would be in touch. Had to chase them the day after that. Got a weak apology and lame excuse they were busy. Now gotta wait 5 days for refund while they make interest on my money. Unacceptable!

Lies after lies, they are not even a good lair after ApplianceDirect staff failed to collect the old dishwasher as I ordered on 8th Aug, I called their customer service line, after waiting for 2 hours, they agreed to collect it on Monday 10th Aug. Guess what, on the 11th Aug at 4pm, old machine was still there untouched. Asked ApplianceDirect why they didn't collect it on Monday as promised, they said they need to arrange 2 person to collect it. They delivered a new dishwasher with ONE person, and need 2 person collect the same standard size dishwasher!!! They are not even good lairs!!!

Appliance arrived broken took week to get a replacement which was also faulty and deemed unsafe to use by their own engineer. After months of calling them them and going thru citizens advice now getting a refund. Very bad customer after service avoid them at all cost

Dishonest company and staff I bought a dishwasher from Appliances Direct. I pay £20 extra for the company remove old dishwasher. The day before delivery, I didn’t receive a confirmation email to confirm the delivery, so I had to call the company helpline to confirm by myself. The staff confirmed it and also told me the delivery person will collect the old dishwasher. On the delivery day, the delivery guy called me 15 minutes before arriving in the morning (not 30 minutes as the help line staff told, which is not a big issue). When I asked the delivery guy “shall I take down the old one?”, He said “no, there will be another van collecting all the old appliances around 4-5pm in the afternoon”. When the guy delivered the new dishwasher to the ground floor, I asked him again if he was going to take the old one, he said no. I also asked where shall I put the old dishwasher, he pointed a space next to the main door of building, and said “don’t worry, the guy collecting old appliance will find it, there is one appliance to be collected in this area”. I was so naïve to trust him. By 6pm, the old one is still outside, by next day 11pm in the evening, the old one is still sitting outside. At least, one of the stuffs was lying. Mostly likely the delivery guy, he probably lied on both sides: told company the customer didn’t put the old machine outside so he cannot collect the old one, and told customer there would be another one to collect the old one... I just don’t know benefits he had for these lies, saving him carry a dishwasher walking 10 meter between build door to his van? If a company’s staff could manipulate system, that means the company’s internal control has big problems. This is my first order from Appliances Direct and will definitely will be the last one.

I made an online purchase with next working day delivery for an extra charge. I then saw a different model which would be more suitable so within 5 minutes tried to cancel my order. There is no option for this on their website so I sent a message which says will get back to you in 3 days! I ordered on a Saturday evening so next morning I called their sales team which is a high rate number!! I was told it had already been invoiced so can’t be cancelled. I’m now going to be charged £15 for the delivery. I won’t be using this company again.

Day I ordered was called and told my items would be delivered the following day and to make sure someone was in Arranged for someone to be there and the cable but not the tv was delivered No customer service at weekends Emails take 3 days to reply Have tried all week to cancel the order as it cant be delivered and I just want my money back Absolutely rubbish customer service

I ordered a gas hob to find out when it was delivered that they had sent me a pedestal fan. (Very random) When I rang they were going to collect the fan and re send me a new hob. Nothing happened. Called again to find out the hob I had ordered was now out of stock. I now have to wait in another day for them to collect the fan before I can have my money back. As they wouldn’t allow me to have another hob that was a bit more expensive as a gesture of goodwill for all the messing about I have had to do. Not great service.

I ordered a mobile phone (Moto G7 Plus) from this company.within a couple of weeks of arriving it became clear that there was a fault with the speaker of the phone. Appliances direct will not even engage, they just sent the phone number of Motorola support and then stop responding. Avoid this Company at all costs.

paid £1300 for a new cooker which arrived broken. Customer services did not care less and just told me to contact the supplier. The oven should be changed immediately.

Huawei p smart, refurbished. This phone had bad connectivity,with signal and 4g and is well documented online. Appliances direct refused me a refund, stating that their tech guys said it was ok. My sim worked fine in my old Huawei. Hopefully PayPal will get my money back. Please be warned peeps.
