I had to return my air conditioner unit as it was huge and very very noisy. It cost me £45.00 for the return, Appliance Direct would not help sort it out, I had trouble finding a company that would return it for me. Appliance Direct then cancelled the return as they had not heard anything from me for 14 days, it was in fact 10 days. Have tried to get hold of them via the message service as I have health conditions and I do not like using the telephone. The service does not work, tried all day yesterday and this morning. Still not working. I then decided to put in a complaint, the message was sent but it has been three hours and I have not had any acknowledgement, fingers crossed they eventually get back to me. The unit was received at their warehouse last week which is confirmed by DPD. Not really sure what to to do next. It is a lot of money that they owe me and I have no idea how to get this sorted and a refund. Not impressed. Will never buy from them again. Their after service is very bad, none existent.

Two faults in the item delivered and two weeks later I’ve still not spoken with anyone or got a resolution. I’ve called, emailed, raised tickets, even facebooked and it still outstanding. They offer you call backs that don’t materialize and close cases that are still open as they don’t seem to communicate within the company. I’ve truly never experienced such terrible customer service. They are appalling.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a fridge almost 2 months ago setting today as delivery date due to moving in and getting the house prepared. The item was in stock when ordered. Fridge did not get delivered today and only after I rang was I informed it was out of stock and not due in stock till October. What a scam! The advice over the phone was rude and abrupt and offered no apologetic recourse. Do NOT go with this company is my advice. You can find a better deal elsewhere. You don't need the hassle and headache this terrible company will give you. Such a disappointment after months of waiting.

My father is a vulnerable 96 year old who lives alone, as I explained to the delivery man yesterday who said they could not deliver the new freezer in his lorry because my father hadn't moved his broken six foot freezer to the front of the house. He said they could not go inside the house because of Covid and I should have had an email. First, I was receiving only texts and none mentioned the freezer had to be put outside, and secondly the freezer was not in the house but in a completely separate garage, emptied, unplugged and dry as requested in the text. They would have no need to enter his house at all and no one would be put at risk. The delivery man was sarcastic and rude, there was a four wait to speak to the Customer Service team, and I received two replies to my email none of which explained what would happen next. No replies to two further emails today. Meanwhile my father has no food because he is dependent on his freezer as he is not able to get to the shops. Perhaps someone could explain when/if he will get the freezer he paid for or do you not deliver to vulnerable people?

Ordered a Hisense fridge freezer 19th June told it would be here 29th July. The day before I was told it wouldn't be here til 7th August and since then they have been putting it back by a week the afternoon before it was due. Telling me they can't get it from China as they aren't shipping due to Covid. Went to AO, they said they have loads in stock and they get weekly deliveries. Ordered it Sunday got it the very next day. Avoid appliances direct. Go to AO if you want guaranteed delivery.

I purchased 2 airconditioning units… I purchased 2 airconditioning units from this company, delivery is super fast and I am happy with one of them but I have an issue with the other, it pumps water all over the floor damaging my carpet and surrounding furniture, when you call you get a standard COVID response and they then call you back, which to their credit they always have, but I have put up with this substandard product now for nearly 2 weeks and have chased them endlessly still not replaced it. Today they Tell me that they need to collect it first before they can replace it, what is that about, I have supplied endless pictures answered endless questions and I have to allow them to take it away and wait for a replacement, also they want it packaged... I live in an apartment in central London I wish I had space to keep boxes the size of small kennels but I don’t I am very annoyed that I should waste my time calling Dailey and still I am waiting, why can’t they take it away and replace the same day.... how complicated can that actually be... ask them see what they say, robotic call centre staff just tell you it’s their policy duhhhh Once I finally get my product you can forget repeat business

Damage item. Took 7 days to return item. Still got no refund from them. Had to go via PayPal to get my money back. Avoid this company.

Still waiting for product- despite paying next day delivery, call up to cancel and they direct you to online cancellation-on line cancellation doesnt work, they signed me up to extra insurance despite there being a 1 year manufactures warranty,, will reject the item if it ever arrives- stick to Currys and not these cowboys

Ordered dishwasher and hood 8 Jul for delivery 19 Aug (because the hood was not in stock). Informed 18 Aug delivery will need to be moved to 28 Aug because the dishwasher out of stock. How can they tell me the day before the delivery and how is it something that was in stock when I ordered over a month before is no longer in stock despite the fact they had taken payment in advance of delivery. Ordered these goods to be installed with new kitchen and now the installers will have to come back to complete another time costing me money!

Dishwasher due to be delivered 18/8 waited in for call and delivery but no dishwasher arrived. Contacted company to be told it was a failed delivery. The lady on the phone couldn't explain what this meant and was offered a refund. Asked if I could have it redelivered only to be told it was out of stock. Ask where my delivery was but they could not answer. Will not be using appliances direct again.

Bought electric scooter m specs weren't same as what was stayed online description. Delivery was long and then delayed another week. No chance of getting through to customer service. Terrible first experience won't be buying again.

AVOID LIKE CORONA! I have received the wrong product and have been trying to contact them for 7 days! They don't answer phone calls or reply to emails, they don't even call you back when requesting a call back. I am now £550 out of pocket not to mention the money I wasted on a installer. As i am unable to get through to them I am now requesting a return on the payment by my credit card although this can take several months. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Very strange. I too was waiting for a call from customer services, my phone was beside me all the time as I have no refrigerator. My phone definitely did not ring and yet it registered a missed call. I can not now talk to anyone today and am without a fridge, my new one having completely stopped working. It makes you think this might be a deliberate ploy by appliances direct. Also, there is no customer service line at the weekend , very poor .

Most of the good reviews about this company are about the delivery service (DPD) which I agree are great and should receive credit separately. Appliances direct/customer service and returns procedure are terrible. Please avoid this company. They are just ignoring me now that I have a return. Yes AP, I will keep posting the truth until you respond to me. And not just here but all my social media platforms.

Terrible Customer Service and return service. . Just make sure that your not not going to want return your item as they suddenly disappear blaming covid- 19. My guess is if they ignore your emails and calls for long enough you'll give up. But at £300.00 I'm not about to. Rang today to see what's happening with arranging pick up of item and pressed 1 for a call back (several times) They do say that if it goes to voicemail then you have to call back. Strange thing is, I was standing by the phone when the phone lit up as if it was going to ring but never did, then went to missed call straight away.....how very clever appliances direct (not) It never rang in first place. So as a customer you think you missed the call... I'm guessing that's going to happen every time they ring me back. So frustrating as there is no way of contacting. Tried there email service for the past week. Got as far as them approving my return and that was that. Nothing since. Disgusting. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this deceitful company, I wish I had. 😤

Had an aircon delivered, had obviously been used before (battery in remote), water coming out of it from the box. Told AD and they told me this was because it been tested in a warehouse! Have arranged a collection/return for Sunday, DPD knows nothing about it. What a terrible experience!
