I thought ao.com were going to be good. I have ordered from them before with great service, but it's only when something goes wrong that you learn how good a company is. I ordered a candy dishwasher from them - model CDI1LS38S, which arrived on time and with no problems on the 9/9/18. I then fitted the machine 2 or 3 days later and had a problem with the spring on the door of the machine being too stiff, it was supposed to be self-adjusting, but it never self-adjusted itself. So I rang ao.com to arrange for a replacement. The only problem is that they have no phone number to ao.com and it goes straight to Candy, Candy could not give me any help and just wanted to send an engineer out to me and told me I would be charged if it was found to be my fault with the fitting (not wishing to blow my own trumpet, but I know what I'm doing, as I'm a plumber by trade and have fitted hundreds of dishwashers) . I told them that I had only had the dishwasher for a few days and it was brand new and would like a new replacement rather than a repair. So, I started to email ao.com and they kept wanting to send an engineer out, all I wanted was a new replacement. I kept stating my consumer rights about it only being a few days old, but they kept ignoring me and I didn't want a repair doing on a new item. I still never got a phone number to speak to anyone in customer services. Anyway, I gave up after a couple of weeks and the spring is still stiff, but at least my arms are getting stronger opening it! I am only writing this review now, because, as of today 13/12/18 it has begun to leak water from underneath and does not work and i expect to be fighting with them to get this repaired or replaced.Does anyone at ao.com read these reviews?

AO are literally the worst company I have dealt with. Bought a cooker in may - delivery people damaged flooring. Issue was eventually fixed but was left on hold for 45mins to report this. Just bought a fridge and dryer - delivery has been 1 huge f@@k up after another. Will we get this on Friday? Odds don't look good! Customer service people are nice but promises are just words in our experience of AO. We certainly wouldn't use AO for anything again and would share these bad experiences with anyone who asks.

Ordered Toshiba 75 inch tv only to find one of the bracket screws on the back looked like it had been welded in ..replaced with a 75 inch Samsung of to find parts missing to put it on the wall ..customer service appaling be hard to recommend ao.com in the future..

New Candy washing machine delivered today. It does not work and appears to have an electrical fault. Advised by customer services that the manufacturer has to inspect the machine and confirm it is not working before it can be returned or replaced. I now have to wait for 3 days for an engineer to visit, and confirm the obvious, before I can arrange for a new machine to be delivered, otherwise I will incur 20% of the costs. This is not good customer service.

Had no issues with the delivery and Installation service from this company, however if your product has a fault they won’t hesitate to leave you high and dry. The price might be good and delivery quick but think very carefully before placing an order, if something goes wrong this company simply don’t care or won’t try to be helpful once they have your money. Their tactic is if there is a problem with your product they pass you straight to the manufacturer to sort it out. They won’t take any responsibility for the products they sell. Treatment of you as their customer is disgusting. Ordered a Samsung washer dryer from them which never dried the clothes. Just got passed on to the manufacturer who sends a engineer to try and fix it. They tried to fix the machine about 5 times and tried to claim there was nothing wrong with it in the end. After 2 months of being without a washing machine Samsung agreed to replace. This was only after calling AO and Samsung 2 or 3 times a day for 2 weeks. Had a replacement machine which worked fine for a few months but yet again has broken down. Yet again passed off by AO to Samsung who took a week and a half to send someone to fix it. Once fixed machine broke down after one wash. Got to wait another week or two before it can be fixed again. After phoning AO several times a day all they are willing to do is phone Samsung for you, which they tried and couldn’t get through. Got put on hold for ages, got cut off, had a speak to a different person each time. They never phone back when they promise too. Customer service is a absolute joke. Had to leave my poor pregnant wife to try and sort this out while I’m out work, extremely stressful experience no one should have to go through. We have a disabled child who is sick a lot, we are desperate for a washing machine that works. Please take responsibility and stoping pushing it into the manufacturer. We brought the washing machine from you not Samsung. You sold a product that is not fit for purpose, it’s your responsibility to put it right not Samsung. Monstrous company to deal with, will never buy anything from them or Samsung ever again. Avoid this company at all costs

Was told driver would be 30 mins so waited outside. 40 mins later called driver to be told "could not find the house, will need to arrange a new date" Rude, arrogant, never again.

ordered and paid for a cooker 3 weeks ago. Lots of excuses given by ao but I still don't have the cooker that I paid for. have had to eat out for 3 weeks They keep offering a refund with no compensation and no genuine apology either. disgusting service all round. eventually because they still cant give a definite date they can supply have had to order from elsewhere who are delivering the exact cooker in 3 days. will NEVER buy anything from ao again and I suggest no one else does.

Excellent website for picking, comparing, reading reviews and ordering. Delivery service was woefully lazy after arriving right on time. Access to flat is restricted, but loats of sapce to drop off the appliance and park. Drive spent 20mins parked, 20 yards from entance talking to myself and manager at AO to complain about not being able to get parked. I was told they would not deliver, which was quite dissapointing. so cancelled my order. They did not seem to bothered either.

I wanted to buy the Acer XB271HU (IPS version) from AO but know that Acer have dodgy quality control on this model. I tried to seek assurances from AO that if my model had excessive backlight bleed or any dead pixels they would refund it. It's a £500 monitor so my expectations are of a premium product with no faults. The consumer rights act states that if the product is not of satisfactory quality, I have the right to return it within 14 days. AO deny this repeatedly in Email correspondence, claiming that by turning it on I have "used" it (how else can I inspect it?) and instead would only act as an intermediary between me and Acer, who are notoriously difficult to deal with and have egregious RMA policies regarding dead pixels or excessive backlight bleed/IPS glow (common faults with this model). My only other option would be to pay a "restocking fee" which is up to half the price of the Item. The Consumer Rights Act of 2015 was put in place to avoid these kinds of situations which force the buyer to gamble on the quality of the product. To disallow me from even turning the monitor on to inspect it in their return policy goes against the entire basis of the recent changes to distance selling laws. I've concluded that my only option is to wait for the monitor to come back into stock on Amazon, who will accept a return no questions asked if the product doesn't meet my standards. Buying from AO is taking an unnecessary gamble.

We had a variety of appliances delivered and the drive tore the Vinyl in the kitchen and excepted responsibility, its been over 3 weeks and still not sorted with the claims team. Been a customer of Ao for over 4 years and spent ££'s with them, not sure after this experience and lack of action I will do going forward. If not sorted this matter will be pursued via the County Court.

Cannot trust this company on delivery date,promised and assured me delivery on monday 19th Nov.now they are going to deliver on sunday 18th which is unsuitable for me.Cannot even get the day right,now having to wait hours for phone call from them to make their mindup.What a way to run a business .If this is buying off the internet god help us all,bring back the real way of shopping go to the local shops

Everything have dealt with them for many years they started out on ebay but after today never again. Problem with their website but they blame the bank spoke to the bank re problem they explained it but AO wouldn't accept their system caused the problem even though they admit to ghosting orders

I used AO and the was machine was not working. When a new washing machine was booked in the wanted me to pay for installation. When fitting washing machine they damaged new kitchen unit. I have NEVER dealt with a worst customer service team when trying to make the claim. The company is a JOKE. Do not use support a local business

Very poor service. I have paid for a washing machine to be delivered and installed. the driver left it in the middle of my kitchen and said he couldn't install it as he is not a plumber. He then just drove off and left my front door wide open. Awful customer service. he didnt even say what he was going to do.

Had a cooker delivered prior to taking possession of property because electrician was on site to install. Oven door was not drop down but opened from right, which means oven door won't open fully. Tried to claim on AO guarantee - cannot because if it has been installed AO regard it as used. AO guarantee is therefore useless. BE WARNED!
