5 months since solicitors contact as part of probate. 2 times passed to their escalation team still nothing resolved. Now a formal complaint made by solicitor. Aviva require 20 working days to look into it. Please dont use this company, they are absolutely inept.

My pension was wrong due to no indexation being applied when taken over from Norwich union in 20029. Two years later, endless calls, emails, additional payments, complaint to the ombudsman and it is still wrong. At the end of every one of the 15 or so calls I have made I have been told "Someone will call you back within 48 hours, this situation will be expedited within ten working days." ( this has not happened once) Even a letter (two months ago) to the CEO Amanda Blanc hasnt resolved the issue despite the reply I received claiming "this will be dealt with as a matter of urgency." They are a bunch of incompetent clowns- avoid at all costs.

Took out life insurance and serious illness cover 15 years ago. 3 years ago diagnosed with cancer and chronic heart disease. Given 12 months to live. Fought the cancer and heart disease for 2 1/2 years but recently found out that the cancers won and I’ll die soon. Contacted Aviva to make a claim and they informed me that they would NOT pay me the £250000 settlement because I have to have 18 months left on my policy and I only have 10 months. I’m devastated. Last week I was told my life was ending, this week Aviva have scammed my wife and kids out of a quarter of a million pounds. The only way to get what they owe is to refuse treatment and hope I die before the 10 months is up. What a shameful heartless disgusting Company.

Never take out a life insurance policy with this company. My dad died when I was 4 and I have had this policy for 30+years, when I finally came to surrender 6 months ago.. I am still going through the process. Don't expect your funds to be liquid or issued in a timely manner. They actively delay the process and are not clear on what documents you need. They even asked me for payslips to prove the insurance policy was mine... for my dead father who passed away 30 years ago?? Yes sure?! Totally dodgy. AVOID! Don't pass on the stress to your family.

I have been trying for 2 hours to make contact with a person who can advise me why my policy is not showing up on the MyAviva app. I have tried every number I can find and every one diverts to a pre recording which points back to their chat bot. I eventually figured out how to asl enough correct questions that I made contact with an onlineChat agent and she was very helpful but by that stage I was frustrated beyond reason.

Worst company I have ever dealt with, over charged me on my premium renewal. Then overcharged me again and took the wrong amount of money each month, auto renewed me and then refused to abide by 14 day cancellation policy and insisted on contract cancellation penalties even though I don't have one! The customer service is appealing and rude, pretty sure it is based in SA where they have poor systems and no knowledge of UK country consumer law. You are told to do everything online but can't get through to anyone if online doesn't work. I never noramlly wrote reviews but one star for Aviva is an overrating, this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with I will never use or recommend them to anyone my company pension is with them as my home insurance and I am moving everything away today. DO NOT TRADE WITH THIS OVERPRICED TERRIBLE COMPANY AS THEY WILL ONLY RIP YOU OFF

DONT take out any life assurance policies with this company They will slash the final value close to maturity, not pay any final bonuses and claim and pretend that the computer has suddenly producing incorrect values and give you a significantly lower maturity value in writing before its even matured!!! And you thought only postmasters were being shafted. .

Website consistently refuses to show one of my two life bonds - computer says "no". One of their own staff told me it is "beyond the human brain to understand why." It is beyond mine to understand how they stay in business.

I have been with aviva for years home insurance I also have equity release with them, I have had a leak from my roof into my bedroom, they sent an inspector out To see take photos he sent them to aviva they decided they would not pay out Then they asked me to pay my house and contents insurance and it would go up because of my claim I just can’t believe this, It would advantageous for aviva to pay for the leak as they hold my deeds I certainly will not be insuring with aviva next year, Also every time you phone aviva you cannot get through to a human being Very disappointed customer

Horrendously bad website for pensions. Stuck in the dark ages. About time they moved their tech into the 21st century. Visiting their website is like going back in a time machine. They expect you to fill in paperwork and post it as if it was still the 90s for any small change you want to make. They don't action stuff sent to email addresses that they themselves have provided. They make it nigh on impossible to transfer your pension to another company. Their CEO has a lot to be getting on with to ensure her company is fit for purpose. If she carries on prioritising nonsense like she is now, she'll find herself without a business to run.

I had two policy’s with Aviva for my self and partner both came out my bank account . I cancelled both policy’s to move to another provider. I noticed the payment for one of the policy’s came out my account I called 2 days after the payment was taken to be told they couldn’t refund . I explained I was insured with another provider and they stated I would be charged for the full month .

Aviva have raised my home insurance by 30 percent. On attempting to talk to someone found it impossible. In fifty years of insuring property I tried to make the first claim this year which was refused. I am wondering whether this is the reason for such a high rise or whether it is blatant profiteering, but as there is no way of asking questions other than the ones which Aviva want me to ask I am unable to do this.

The lady who just had a front bumper and radiator damaged? 1 month ago review, "Anonymous". Most car insurence companies have linked up with car Salvage / Auction Yards, your car will be collected by CARPORT / CARPART ? under the claim it is going for further inspection, you will be asked to hand over the Log Book and Both Keys to the Driver, this means you've handed over legal Ownership of your car, before you have agreed it is Written off? And before you have a greed its Value? Your car now sits in a salvage Yard *nope Ted and written off by the Salvage Auction Yard, so they can sell it off as Repairable, the yard then gives your 8nsurence company a percentage back hander from its sale. Obviously your insurence premiums go up, so the salvage yard make money out of Writting off perfectly good repairable Cars to feed the second hand car Market. Just remember until your insurence company has agreed a Settlement value for your car, it Remains your Property? So don't hand it over with logbook and Keys for Collection 1st. Always get your own independant Repair estimate first ? "REMEMBER YOU ALWAYS HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT TO DEMAND YOUR CAR IS REPAIRED. so don't let them take it away from you straight after the accident, they bank on your turmoil and trust in them to be honest and look after your best interest? WRONG! Dont Trust any insurence company at its word, MY front bumper , Headlight and Grill was Damaged, they tried to get me to sighn a Vehicle recovery form to say I Had No where to store the Vehicle? (I have a yard for 3 cars) and agreement for a Hire car. This was the act of taking possession of my car for salvage and Auction. I also got an independant quote for 2,500. My car was worth 7,000. The Insurence company estimated the repairs from the pictures i sent in and Wrote the car off, but didn't tell me, they actuated the salvage auction yard to arrange to collect my car under the false premise it was going for further inspection / assesment, obviously they would have Wrote my car Off? And with the keys etc already have legal possession and Ownership of my car as I have handed over the LoG Book? I Refused them to collect my Car and Cancelled within 14 days the Car Hire and my car Collection and inspection Agreement, as you are allowed UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES? they cancelled my insurence claim to try and Frighten and Threten me into giving them my car? When I pointed out the 14 day cancellation privilege and I had concerns and contacted the FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN, over Avivas Proceedures? THEIR ATTITUDE CHANGED. however the Financial Ombudsman is Useless, he claimed to me that he has no powers over insurence companies and all he can doo is make sure they follow procedures? So WHO THE F MAKES SURE INSURENCE COMPANY PROCEEDURES are Lawfull and Fair ???? Citizens advise told me the ombudsman can tell the insurence company and overturn their descission? Thats not what my Ombudsman Said ??? Clearly we have Incompetant Children in Seniour Roles who don't know how to do their job and what powers they have ? and the car insurence industry is Self Regulating and Running a Mock, this writing off Perfectly Repairable Cars for Salvage Auction is why Insurence Premiums are Going Up ! Its not Theft or Vandalism or accident Damage, it's Theft by your Insurence Company and Salvage Yard to Make Money for Share Holders, and the F8nancial Ombuds man Won't Investigate it for you and Stop it Happening to others.

I'd give 0 stars but it's not possible. Simply the worst customer service and phone system I've ever done battle with. It consistently fails to hear your answers, even if it's just Yes or No options. And then if it lets you type a number to select an answer, it doesn't 'hear' that either. Pathetic.
