It went on to say that if this was not acceptable I could cancel the order. I went on-line to chat with their person who over numerous paragraphs told me that the 6-17-2021 date was correct, and that I could not cancel the order until it arrived and I could refuse it. Their email also said they would not charge my credit card until shipment; a lie!- I understand they did not "charge" the card but they did put a hold on the sales amount. What in hell is the difference. I could not be more dissatisfied with the company. I have bought from Best Buy for years but this is the last time. “Absolutely the most miserable retail experience of my 63 years. I ordered a refrigerator a month ago. It came damaged. As they could not come back that day, they hooked it up for me to use until they could deliver another. They hooked it up incorrectly and it flooded my kitchen damaging the wood floors. Finally someone came to fix the leak (still no new undamaged refrigerator) and took one look at the hook-up and refused to fix it. After a week, I paid a plumber $150 to stop the leak, since it was so severe, I had to set the alarm to wake up in the middle of the night to empty the bucket. They delivered a replacement- it too was damaged and they never bothered to bring it in. Since then, I have missed 3.5 days of work, waiting for promised pick-ups and deliveries that never came. I have spoken to 9 different people and waited an average of 45 minutes on hold each time. Best Buy has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and no way to escalate a claim. When you call a local store they tell you that they are not accepting calls in person at this time. Today the deliverymen called before they were supposed to (I am a teacher and told them I would not be available until 2PM). They then lied and put on the record that I told them there was nothing to pick up. I NEVER SPOKE TO THEM! All anyone can tell me is that they will schedule another date when I have to stay home and wait for them to not show up a 4th time. No one can help me. I have been credited for the refrigerator and have another company delivering another refrigerator tomorrow. I have no choice but to have this damaged leaking refrigerator put out by the road. This is Best Buy's problem now, not mine. My credit card company has been instructed not to accept any charges from Best Buy. I will never, ever order anything from this company again.”
“I would give less than a star but it seems to be the minimum. You guys are next level incompetent. Had a bad install. Got someone to come out to correct it and was told those are not our parts, I can’t touch it??? Do you really think I got a Best Buy install and then ran out and got different parts and messes it up. “Bought a brand new Insignia refrigerator in March 2021, it broke down in May 2021. Called Geek Squad because I purchased 5 year protection they wouldn't schedule anything sooner than 5 days out. Called again begging them to take care of it sooner, I'm losing all my food and it's Memorial Day! they told me call the mfg, but Insignia is their brand. To make matters worse the last Geek Squad agent claim she was getting Insignia phone number for me then hung up on me”
“Ordered an air conditioner, on the day of delivery I get the dreaded, your deliver has been delayed.
Oh you think, no big deal it will only be a day or two then it will ship. The item is now sold out. Essentially my read on this situation is best buy sold items it doesn't have, and now they're out of stock, and all the orders are delayed, because they don't have the items.
I try to confirm this with customer service. I get told there is nothing we can do. I get they can't magically make my package arrive. However they mean literally nothing. They can't cancel the order, can't see if the item will ever arrive, etc. They essentially say if I'm going to get it it should ship by JUNE 10th. Otherwise they will cancel the order at that point, which will be way too long into the season to order a decent air conditioner.
So let me get this straight. I can't cancel the order, so even if I decided I no longer wanted it, because of the time to arrive, after I was already promised something different and was going to order elsewhere, I can't because they may eventually decide to ship it and I may end up with 2, and out 450$.
Only other store I've ever had this kind of problem with was Sears, and they even at least TRIED to make things right by offering me rebates, or coupons off future orders (and had a firm date for a new delivery, unlike best buy), and their customer service was notoriously awful during the end years. Best Buy can't even hit that low bar.
I've spent thousands of dollars at Best Buy, and I'll never spend another dime there again, and will be telling everyone I know not to as well.”

“Went into the Happy Valley Best Buy yesterday to meet with the geek squad. I met with Matthew Gyles. Very knowledgeable guy. I didcussed the issues with my laptop and decided it was better to just buy a new one. So i went ti the computer department and decided which computer would work. I dicussed that i would be back to purchase the computer and drop it with him as we discussed the programs i would need and he could do this in a day.
This morning at 10 am i go back to the store and they did bot have any computers on the shelf.
I was sent to the thunderbird location to pick one up. I tried to just drop it at the geek squad desk but they want me to set this thing up call in make an apointment for them to do updates and etc.
Next i tried to call the Happy Valley Location to get it in. Guy tells me 3 DAYS. I need to make an apointment restart the process and that they cannot load the computer to add programs i need.
Best Buy needs to get its stories strait and quit hiding behind rules that keep people not wanting to perform their Job duties.
I do not have the knowledge or time to sit back and do the things to this computer to get it funtional for my needs. That is why i picked a store that said they were capable.
The it guys i see working would be fired for these responces.
So now after Best Buy has burned me. I will be discussing this situation with every body i know. Large design firms office pros, heavy highway, road and home building contactors engineers architects and a few of my politition freinds.

“Terrible customer service. I ordered an electric range from the store. Scheduled a delivery. The delivery was never delivered, nor did I receive call. I rescheduled a second delivery. I received an automated call that I needed to call to reschedule. Now the range is out of stock. I was put on hold for 45 minutes to speak to a manager, and a manager never answered. I will not do business with BestBuy again. Now I have to wait over 10 days to get a refund by check.”

I ordered a refrigerator and a washer/dryer combo for my new home, and I specifically noted that the refrigerator needs to go to the 2nd floor and washer/dryer needs to go up to the 3rd floor and stacked.
Best Buy sent 2 people on May 8 to deliver the appliances but they won't go upstairs, saying they need a 4-men team. Best Buy should have known better, but fine. I rescheduled the installation appointment for May 12th, and the agent said they will send a 4-men team and my appointment will be the first on that day so I can expect installation from 7AM to 9AM.
On May 12th, nobody came before 9AM. At 9:20 a two-person dispatch team called me and asked what exactly do I need them to do. Apparently the agent rescheduling the service on May 8 did not put in a request for 4-men team properly. So now I have to reschedule the service to May 14th. The delivery service department said they won't be able to confirm whether a 4-person team will be guaranteed until previous day at 5PM.
I will find a local appliance installation company instead if Best Buy can't do their job on May 14th. Will never buy anything from Best Buy again.”

“Don’t buy a insignia deep freezer from Best Buy. We bought one 2 years ago because our deep freezer died and we’ve never had trouble with their repair process. Will last week I called to schedule a repair because it wasn’t keeping the correct temperature. I was told that I would have to bring my 17 cubic foot freezer into the store to be repaired. They didn’t care that it’s full of food or the fact that I have no way of getting it there. So I lowered the temperature to -11 which is keeping my food frozen and I called local repair places no one repairs this brand. My husband and I decided to just go to a appliance store that we bought our refrigerator at and bought a new one that they will fix at our house if necessary. Don’t buy appliances at Best Buy!”
“In mid September of 2021, our family purchased 2 premium Sony TV’s from Best Buy. Sadly within a few weeks one of the TV’s developed problems that still has not been resolved as of this date.
I was told by the sales manager with a Geek Squad policy you are protected, I soon learned the 1 st year must be covered by Sony.
Calls to the Geek Squad number and customer service directed me to Sony who never stepped up to the plate, resulting in countless calls and emails requesting a Best Buy manager to intervene.
No manager was ever available when I contacted customer service, but on each occasion a call back with 24 hours was promised.
That never happened and no calls have ever been received to this date 5 months later.
Once the money is paid, good luck., that’s all they care about …. on to the next paying customer to meet their sales quota”
