We booked a large number of items for collection in NW2. We were asked to be specific so that van space could be allocated. I was offered 8am-2pm slot and had to travel to property and wait and even then team arrived after 2pm with a FULL van. I queried why it was full and he said we were nearest collection to the warehouse in Cricklewood and therefore last collection. He walked around property declining items as he went for NO reason other than he had no room. He took the washing machine which was only 3 months old. Bashed both exit doors and the machine removing it and didn't even bother to take the accessories and warranty we had prepared for them. The items were all in pristine condition and Sue Ryder charity was delighted to take them subsequently. The reason BHF team did not take was because they had a full van; this refusal could have caused problems for people if they were moving and BHF CANNOT be relied upon so i would suggest you donate your items elsewhere. The collector sent out from the Cricklewood NW2 depot has very poor customer service skills; i would go so far as to say none at all and would suggest that BHF consider some training - he is your representative to the public and leaves a very poor opinion. I will for future always donate anywhere except BHF.

Blokes turned up with van already full took pics of our stuff and said they wouldn't take ad it's cracked (it's not.... The reso was a profit thing witch BTW its free they sell all a profit regardless of price. The staff were rude and dispondent and disintested.

One day before I move, I donate a large Office Chair and a large wardrobe. Guy doing the pick up refused the wardrobe pickup as it was a bit wet towards the bottom on the back. Explained it had been next to a window, fully structurally sound, no damage. Explained I am moving TOMMOROW, still refused, nothing wrong with the item, didn't give a toss about my situation. Went to another charity shop, explained everything including the condition, they accepted with no problems and me and my friend carried it down. Useless set of..... won't say it here. Donate anywhere but here.

Arranged for collection of a dining table and three chairs. The crew arrived and asked me why I had not dismantled the table. I checked the e-mails from BHF and at no time had I been asked to dismantle the table. They also said the table was broken... there was a very small gap between one of the legs the pedestal, but this could have easily been repaired. The crew were quite discourteous. I was very much left with the impression that they didn't want to take my table because it was quite large and there are steps leading to my house. I was forced to pay for my local authority to take the table and chairs away, so BHF lost out on any money they could have made from it.

Arranged by phone with Kilmarnock Branch to have a three piece suite and sideboard uplifted. Arranged for the drivers to give us one hours notice as the house is being cleared and we live 14 mile's away. They phoned on the day to say they would be with us in 20 minutes. Anyway managed to be at the house within 40 minutes. The attitude of the two employees when they came in you just knew they could not be bothered. Took a picture of the sofa and chairs and sent it to their "boss". Not good enough - we have to be able to sell this was the decision!!!!! Fire label on, no tears etc and in very good condition. We also had a solid wood wardrobe only six months old which was upstairs. This wardrobe was very expensive. One of the employees looked at it "is it flat pack". No we replied. "How did you get it up the stairs". Two men we replied. Would not take it - needs to be flat packed. What a piece of nonsense Obviously too much bother. BHF if you are reading this PLEASE have your employees attend a customer care course. This was a double bereavement and I am quite sure a lot of house clearances/donations will come from similar circumstances. There are plenty of other charities out there and if anyone reading this is thinking of donating to BHF - don't

Booked a collection for Tuesday, but they didn't show. I got a missed call from a private number, but they didn't leave a message. I ended up having to phone them, and they were rude and dismissive. Turns out that was them phoning me to let me know their van had broken down. This is fine I get that, but how did they expect me to get that from a missed withheld number and no message or email update? They agree to come Saturday. They didn't phone 30 minutes beforehand. Showed up and told me the table looks well old and too worn and would never sell. It's a five-year-old farm cottage-style coffee table made of solid wood, it's meant to look rustic. They left so I put it on Facebook marketplace. I've had 92 offers and counting within 7 hours of posting that ad. So pretty sure it would have sold, their loss. Save yourself the trouble flog it on Facebook marketplace.

Horrible customer service - BHF on Dalry Road, Edinburgh -for clothes, shoes, etc. Wanted to return fake Michael Jordan Nike Air Shoes for & 70.00 , but they refused. I had the receipt, the tag and the shoes absolutely untouched, clean and fresh. The excuse was that The Head Office told them that customers should keep the tag on the shoes, not separately. Such a stupid excuse! I want my money back.I used to shop very often in that shop, but I will NOT anymore. Rude staff at the till. From now on NO more helping BHF anywhere in the U.K.

I had contacted the BHF via the website, I got a call back the next day from the nearest centre in Chichester and they arranged for the collection of two sofas and a dining table which was sorted for 2 days later. The two drivers arrived on time on the appointed day of collection, they looked over the sofas and checked the fire labels and within 45 minutes they had taken everything away. Very polite and considerate and am delighted that the items have gone to support the BHF and their work.

Fabia, who is working at the till in British Heart Foundation Horsham high street. She has been very rude. My sister liked one china things we have just asked her anything she can do with price it because was not perfect condition. She said no and what the price is that we need to pay. Then we accepted paying she was ridiculously continued talking about that we always trying to get discounts which was wrong I am not living in Horsham I have been once in July and 2 times in Christmas times. I bought some plates last time when I came and left in the shop to get later after my Christmas shopping. Even that time I was served from a male. She said that she is not stupid to recognised me. How awful communication she is doing in the shop with customer. I have said that she needs to stop talking to me like that she didn't care. Then I have said I would like to get her name and complain she showed her name is Fabia. How she can speak customer like this? She was utterly awful! Maybe she needs to get some training about with customer service skills and more!!!!

The lady Manager at the New Milton Branch in Hampshire. was rude to me and did not even give me an exchange for a damage item I brought back even though I had my receipt of goods and also I had previously spoken to a couple of approachable and helpful members of staff the day before who were happy to exchange, very disappointed at the standard service that I received and has caused me a lot of stress, I will be phoning up Head office in the morning to make a complaint, shame as I had spent a lot of money in that branch in the past 3 days and the other staff members were welcoming to me. Having been working in Retail myself for 30 years this is discussing

Stayed up for then to come and collect a used sofa in good condition, 2 holes in the back and covered them in tape. They didn't have an issue with that, they had an issue with the dip in the middle of the sofa cos it's been used. Mentioned they couldn't sell it for a profit. Some charity. Cunts

Booked a collection for a solid pine desk, originally bought from British Heart Foundation. Waited a week for them to come & carefully stored it in our internal garage to ensure it was kept in good condition. Top was marked and few scratches, but otherwise really solid desk. No chips or other damage to wood. 3 strong drawers that worked really well & great workspace. Condition as good as when it was purchased from BHF. Drivers arrived as scheduled, polite enough, but took pictures of top & then called manager-said it wasn’t good enough because of marks. Good enough to sell to me but not take back for free! Genuine solid pine, could have been sanded & varnished, but still perfectly useable in current condition. I’ve used BHF shops many times over the years but I will never donate or set foot in one of their shops again. Absolute waste of our time & rejected a good piece of furniture. Not sure what they expect from second hand donations???

Terse and rude collection staff. Didn’t speak to me but each other as they decided to reject a wardrobe in perfectly good and saleable condition. Do not recommend to anyone grieving. No care or tact, not even minor pleasantries!

Rude collection staff. So disrespectful. I’d never recommend to any grieving family. No respect- so unhelpful. I’d give no stars if possible. Avoid at all cost as they will add to your grief

As a regular donator and supporter of British Heart I was extremely disappointed that they were not prepared to collect a glass tv stand. Good quality and in excellent condition. I no longer feel happy to support British Heart.

Donated a number of items including a perfect three piece suite, fridge and washing machine. Collectors were rude, abrupt and surly. I opened the door to be immediately told they would only take items in saleable condition, then that the wouldn't take a dining table if it wasnt dismantled, and they wouldn't do it. Carless removing items, banging and crashing around. Wish I hadn't bothered, won't be bothering again
