Hello - Having spent over £5,000 with Calumet (very good, knowledgeable and helpful sales staff in the Euston shop) in one go over two weeks ago, I was disappointed that not only the ProFoto gear was not in stock, but nor were most of the Calumet own brand items we paid for. Fortunately, we had a two week plus window to get the items we needed. However, we are still waiting on a number of items (Profoto and Calumet own brand), with no firm date as to when they will turn up. I also asked for all the items to be held for me at the Euston shop for me to pick them up today (7 September) as I was going to be abroad for a week a few days after the order was placed. A number of items turned up by courier - thankfully the day before I left, so I was able to take them. But this is not what I asked for and could have created issues with the delivery (which I had tried to avoid by saying I would pick them up upon my return to the UK). Wexphotographic (with similar pricing) not only show if the items are in stock on their website (all the Profoto gear was), but will ship it for the next day. I could have had all the Profoto gear within 24hrs and easily shopped for the other gear we are still in need of with them. Whilst the staff in the shop were as helpful and obliging as they could be, the Calumet order fulfilment is sadly lacking. If we can not get the items we need in the next few days we will have to cancel the rest of the order for a full refund. Sadly - It does not make it difficult who to choose on the next order. Calumet have blown the prospect of repeat business.

Service in store (Edinburgh) was very good, despite not having required items in stock. I initially thought that I would then buy elsewhere, but I was assured that every item could be delivered by Tues (changed to Wed, before midday) when it was realised Mon was a public holiday) so I changed my mind and went ahead with my order, accepting these assurances. However, these assurances turned out to be worthless, since only one item has arrived!

Set delivery date for my work address - Store phoned me to confirm this and the guy on the phone even checked with his manager. I then receive notification that my camera was being shipped to my home address and when I phoned to speak to someone I couldn't get through to anyone and just sat on hold even though I was 1st in the queue to be answered "apparently". Emailed them to complain and just ignored! POOR POOR POOR!!!

I ordered a camera last Friday with next day delivery. It hadn't arrived by today, Tuesday, so I phoned Calumet. They told me my camera was out for delivery with FEDEX and gave me a tracking number. The tracking number does not work on the FEDEX website. And FEDEX are one of those couriers who do not provide a slot time / any form of text or email notification and no way of changing the delivery details - unlike just about all of their competition. In summary, pretty dissatisfied with my first Calumet experience. And still waiting in the house for my camera to arrive.

I ordered the Canon Mark III 5ds r, you charged me to get in the waiting list and promised me for the month of July, we are already in august and no one called or sent an email to communicate the delay or the new date of delivery,. Thanks Rogerio Miranda Dias

Shocking service from Calumet. Not sure I'd ever shop online again with them. I ordered a lens hood for the new Canon 50mn STM lens. The website said this item was in stock. My order was accepted and my money was taken from my credit card. After hearing nothing for 48 hours I called and was told the item was actually out of stock and would be a week or so. In fact I called a week later and was told that the items were not expected from Canon until October (I didn't ask which year!). Consequently I missed out on the chance to get one from my work colleague who was in New York and could have picked one up for me. So I am feeling pretty unhappy at 1) the online offering from Calumet: 2) the customer service from Calumet: 3) the lack of effort to keep me as a customer or even apologise! For me WEX, Park Cameras, Fotosense and Anazon are the best UK online dealers and of course B&H in the U.S. Sorry I couldn't say anything more positive but Calumet you really suck!

Very poor service. Shop was a mess ! I spent £250 in the Euston store and one of the things i wanted to buy was an ND filter to shoot LE seascapes. I told the guy serving me thats what i planned to do and he told me i was wrong to buy the Calumet ND which was reduced from £135-£75 and should buy the hoya one at £159.. I was told the one i wanted was for videographers despite the read up on the back of the ND stating perfect for photographers who want to slow down water or clouds etc. when i read this he sighed and rolled his eyes.. I also asked if they do military discount and he looked at me like i was from another planet. Think i would rather shop at jessops and thats saying something !

I ordered a tripod bag from you in February and it was out of stock. You kept hold of my money and gave me very little communication until it was eventually delivered last week. I needed that bag for work and had I known I would have to wait as long as I did, I never would have order it in the first place.

Disappointing service was promised quick delivery had to wait over a week for goods to arrive and was told every day it would be in and they would call me. I had to chase incessantly for updates. Not very happy

After two months from the date of payment I am still waiting for a product I purchased . Other thing is that the company was not willing to send the product to the another address then billing one.

I bought the canon 100mm macro lens by making a phone call and paying in full and was waiting for the delivery. When I phoned the day before the delivery, been told that I will not be getting it next day due to some delay and been told to call next day. When phoned next day, i.e. the day that I should have had my lens, been told that the price they quoted on the internet was wrong and my options are either to pay more i.e about 150quid or get a refund. I know that I have the right to fight as I have received a valid bill over e-mail, a sale is a sale. But accepted the refund as i am disgusted by the way they do their business and you know what, I could not take the lens to my planned university course which i spent £20k. I will never buy anything from them or will not recommend to anyone.

My first time as a Calumet customers. Sent a lens for repair and after two days you sent back to me instead Nikon repair center. After this first issue, as the repair takes too long, I needed to buy a lens (nikon 50mm 1.4G) to use as backup of the lens I sent in repair: you did not want to sell it to me because was my first purchase and you wanted some proof (bills etc). After spending the afternoon at the phone speaking with different people, finally you sold me the lens. Honestly, I don't think I will buy anything from you also if I like your stores and your prices. I am a professional photographer and the first thing i need is reliability.

Placed the Order in January and have still not had the order sent ???!!! Have been told repeatedly that the shipment from asia is still coming - and will be 4-5 weeks - this i have been told since febuary!!! Cant understand how Calumet is still in business? Not very Happy

Waste of time. Products stated in stock not in stock, Chose collection from store for a time sensitive shoot - no communication until I chased, barely an apology after chasing a second time, and after nearly a week I'm now abroad without film stock I needed. This company just isn't serious anymore. Much better stockists elsewhere, on the web and in store. Learnt my lesson and won't use again.

I ordered two Cactus RF60's & a Cactus transceiver in January this year from the Glasgow branch, all items showed as in stock online at that time. Branch told me they only had one flash unit but would order the rest. FOUR MONTHS LATER after calling every week they still did not have the items, at no point did they contact me to give any update. The branch told me there was a problem with the Cactus supplier in the UK. I found another dealer on Ebay in England who dealt directly with the GB Cactus rep, they confirmed there was no problem with Cactus in the UK, I ordered all the above items which were delivered to me in Scotland 2 days later. Cactus were astounded to hear how I was treated by Calumet & suggested that perhaps I wasn't being told the truth.. I emailed Calumet Glasgow to cancel my order & complained regarding the poor service I had received, I got no response. Very poor Calumet. Stuart Hall.

Ordered on a Tuesday, rang Wednesday afternoon and was told that it was shipped on that day. Rang Saturday as it still not delivered and was told that Calumet would ring back with an update. No message received. Monday afternoon a neighbour rang the door with my package which has been delivered 10 doors away on the same road. The Calumet paperwork had the correct postal address but the address on the FedEx label had the incorrect address. It is poor customer service not to investigate why I had not received the package. Because someone else had inadvertently signed for a package that did not have their name did Calumet pressume that I was not telling the truth, should they have checked the delivery address before ignoring my requests for delivery status. I paid £4.99 for next-day delivery only to receive a 6 days delivery. Poor service.

Till today haven't received my invoice which I did expect to be sent with my parcel, there was no confirmation of dispatch by email so phoned Customer Service to get this confirmation like you normally get by email every time when I buy online. Price match hasn't been respected in the first place even same camera was cheaper on Currys's site as person who I had chat with could not take a decision and supposed to be contacted with his manager after Bank Holiday but suddenly was contacted same day when product was out of stock and refused to get money back with suggestion as there was their site error which was not true as I called Currys and there was not aware of any errors on their site, next day the camera was back in stock with the price which I claimed and Manager finally respected my claim. After my order was confirmed I was asked to provide proof of my ID and utility bill (first time in my life happened to me and I'm online shopping very often) and after I scanned requested docs you couldn't find me in your system under this address which I assumed means your system is out of date as I'm home-owner for over 4 years.

This turned out to be a damaged item. I did email Calumet about it but got no response. Fortunately, I managed to repair the damage which took a bit of time and money (another £60 to £70) and the lens is now operational. Surprises me that Calumet do not check their items properly or bother to reply to mails; no doubt they would say I must have dropped the lens or something and never got an email from me. So no stars for a photographic retailer I have used without problems in the past.
