“Avoid the hassle and stay away from this company!
This is the email I send to the company:
First of all I’m contact you because right after I made my booking I noticed that the date that I requested for was more than what I needed for and as soon the confirmation was sent I instantly change the booking with the right date.
I needed the car for the 27th just one day but I wrongly booked till the 30th, as I said not even 5 minutes after making the booking I try to change the reservation which I though I did or at least thats what your website said. To my surprise when I arrived to collect the car the booking was never modify for the one day that I actually needed the car. I aspected as I modified my booking 5 minutes after the confirmation to have a refund for the rest of days that I wasn’t gonna used it, the company told me that they can’t give me a refund for the rest of the days that I will not use the car which I found unreasonable any company will give you at least 1h to make any changes to your bookings!
Second of all, you guys send me an email saying to pick up the car at king cross train station which I did and guess what? The information given was not correct I had to go for 2 hours Up and down around London to actually find you ( let me tell you the Uber was not cheap!)
I try to contact you to both numbers that I found on the email, the uk number line was always busy and the number that start with +34 keeps me in the line for hours but again no one ever pick Up the phone (now I have extra charges from my phone company for calling abroad which it would it be fine if I had at least had the assistance required)
I tried to call the international number on Friday to change my booking and on Saturday to have guidance to where I had to actually go to pick up the car.
If it wasn’t because the other retail company at king cross gave me the right postcode I wouldn’t ever find the place.
With all respect you guys should be more specific with the location of the pick up and actually send a postcode not a vague information. Please take this as a feedback to improve your service and avoid causing inconvenience to your costumers.
My last issue was when I arrived at the car rental and they request a deposit of over £1k which is understandable where this come from but is not ok to send a multiple pages agreement and leave the deposit part detail for last.
As financially I couldn’t afford to make that payment I had to get someone else to cover that deposit but the funny thing is if I didn’t had that deposit set up I would had lost the money of the booking plus let’s don’t forget the hassle and time waste to actually get into the rental car company.
For the reason above I request a partial refund for my booking as I did try to change the date but Clearly your website doesn’t have the right tools to make the costumer experiment easier.
As a consumer/costumer I have the right to request changes to my booking with a reasonable time notice and get a refund.
With all this issues I can definitely not recommend your services and I will never use it myself.
Please inform me when the partial refund will be send back to my account
Regards
A very disappointed costumer”
“Booked a car for my girlfriend on carjet.com and wanted to collect the car on Nice airport. We diside to pay extra for the insurance if the car get damaged so you don't pay extra after. Surprisely after I payed for the car they also asking for a deposid of €1100,-. That was strange because that insurance should cover all costs if she damaged the car? Anyway I geve her my creditcard like I normally do.
Arrived in Nice, she couldn't take the car because the credit card was not on her name registerd and paying on a different way was not possible. After they also telling her she will lose her booking cost of €155,-
And because it was Saturday we couldn't call to the headoffice or helpdesk to find a solution.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to do business with this organisation.
Think twice and choose for quality, the other reviews speak for themselves.”
“I nearly didn't use this site due to some really bad reviews, but absolutely no issues at all. Was the cheapest we found and everything went fine with the rental.
Would defo use again.”
“Booked a car through CarJet but didn't receive a confirmation email but thankfully took a screenshot of the website reservation. Their website has a page to request a resend of the booking confirmation but requests the booking number which I don't have because it would be on the confirmation email!! Eventually managed to contact them and 3 days later they responded to say the car type wasn't available and recommend booking earlier in future - my booking was for 12 months time!!! In the meantime they have taken payment from my credit card. They provided a link with a 'so-called' special price to make an alternative reservation. The prices for the same date & destination were actually higher.”
“Using carjet from begin 00's. The chepaest by far to find on the net. i had sometimes a few minor problem which are mostly resolved during the hiring period. It funny to read all those negative comments as it now looks that this company is a local scam.
Remember that they operate all around Europa as a brooker and NOT as the car hring company so most of the complaint are about them. If you dont like that pay more and hire directly instead thru a brooker and dont compain.”
“They run a fraud scheme. I booked a vehicle on their website with pick up in Paris. The rental agency refused to rent me a car citing some problem with the paper work. The agency cancelled the reservation assuring a full refund from CarJet since I did present myself for pickup and the cancellation was on their account. CarJet refused to refund saying that I requested for cancellation after the pick up time. Seriously! How will I know if the rental agency is going to refuse beforehand. They made money out of my misery. Pitiful!”
“I would like to request all my brothers of UAE and Gulf Countries to never take car with Green Motion Car Rental and never make booking with CarJet.
I am resident of Dubai and currently in London to take care of my pregnant wife.
I really had bad experience with Green Motion Rental Car. Yesterday i went to pick the car from your branch at HolidayInn, it was such a horrible experience to deal with the staff and i never faced this issue with any other car rental company. She asked me for ID documents and i provided her my Original UAE Driving License and original BRP. She also requested for original passport which i didn't carry as it's clearly mentioned on booking confirmation email to provide Either Original ID documents or Original Passport. Eventually i had to come back and get back my passport from Hayes in Uber. I was asked for unnecessary requirements which had never been asked by any other car rental company. I wanted to take the car for emergency purpose as my wife is 40 weeks pregnant and i need the car for taking to the hospital as it's currently unsafe to travel in any mode of transport.
I had made the booking # CJT34332758 through CarJet which is a fraud company as there is no contact information on website and today they automatically cancelled my booking though i never requested for it. Now my money is with Green Motion Car Rental and i have all valid documentation but now they are asking me to get in touch with CarJet.”
“Biggest scam of car rentals took my money got to the place and they asked for more money!! Asked for a refund to be told they don't do refunds!! BUT I CANT GET THE CAR!!??? Lost £200 because of carjet. DO NOT USE THEM! Posting this on EVER site possible!! People need to know the truth!””
“It's a plain scam. They take your money and they won't send you a confirmation email. When you try to cancel your booking, website won't recognise your booking number.
Plain scam. Please Mstercard and Visa DO blacklist them.”
“Would be zero! Biggest scam of car rentals look my money got to the place and they asked for more money!! Asked for a refund to be told they only do refunds upto an hour before the booking!! BUT I CANT GET THE CAR!!??? Lost £184 because of carjet. DO NOT USE THEM! Posting this on EVER site possible!! People need to know the truth!”
“Beware - This company is extremely poor and should be avoided at all costs. Attempted to make a booking, for which they took the money. Following day (27-April-2020) they sent an email saying they could not fulfill the rental required. But have not refunded the money, sent two emails which they haven't had the decency to reply too. The phone number given in the review on this site is not working or they aren't replying. Its a simple thing to just refund my money so why hasn't it been done.”
“These guys are total scam artists. DO NOT BOOK A CAR WITH THEM! Their website is super shady, they take your money, and do not give you a booking reference so you have no idea if you have a booking. Then when I asked for a refund because I had to get a booking elsewhere.... they refused to give me my money back! I called their "customer service hotline" - was put on hold for 45 minutes then was promptly hung up when I did say hello. DO NOT BOOK A CAR WITH THEM!!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD!”
“WARNING= Do not consider using this company, like many before me i was robbed of my money by them, booking made whist stranded in London Gatwick, money taken soon after and was supposed to receive Vouchers and confirmation e-mail, nothing sent and no way of contacting them, had to hire a car from SIXT who were brilliant.
Have made complaint and have just been lied to and continually fobbed off with excuses from the many e-mails from them since.”
“No way to contact carjet to cancel during coronavirus and no email from them. Disgusting. Have looked up number and email address on internet and nothing. Cancellation on website doesn't work.”
“Absolute scam and I will tell every single person I know and tell them to tell everyone they know to keep clear of Carjet. Money taken and then no contact from Carjet and no car or explanation. No way of contacting them by phone or e mail. Disgusted as we were flown to London on a rescue flight and had to get back to Bristol. Will continue to warn people about this”
