“Two weeks ago I got in Porto to pick up a car that I booked through carjet website.
First of all I couldn’t get the car that I asked for (a seat instead of a vw T-roc).They said it was the same category. Am I the only one to think that ? Well I don’t think so.
Then they asked me to block 2460 euros caution in addition to the “full coverage package” they made me purchased on the website. This “full coverage package” does not in any kind of way imply that I need to block more money. I really felt like I got scammed. Even more when the society “surprice” asked me to pay 400€ to let me take the car. That’s something I couldn’t do anyway with my visa seeing that my credit car limit is way lower than that. I’m really confused because the website is not clear and I never though it could be like this.
I decided to cancel my reservation (at “surprice car”) and never took that Seat car while calling carjet explaining the situation. They didn’t want to hear anything and just claimed it was my fault.
The thing is that all of the amount have been charged on my credit card and screw up my Holiday. I REALLY don’t recommend this company. If you want to be sure you won’t be scammed just go book through a real truthworthy website and avoid CARJET !

“I rented a car from Carjet and I had no problem. When I went to pick up the car they tried to make me dizzy at the car rental office but I kindly said no. Later when I returned the car they tried to make me pay for a damage that the car already had but I had photos and I showed them that it was not me. You have to be careful with the offices because they have nothing to do with the online comparator.”

Terrible company with zero customer service and rip off technicques at every corner. I booked what was a "fully refundable" booking, and when I saw I booked a manual instead of automatic transmission I tried to cancel and it said NON refundable.
I proceeded to the car rental agency and they told me carjet.com was a SCAM and the insurance offered was COMPLETELY USELESS. So I lost money and no way to contact them other than dispute the charges on my credit card.”
“CarJet is highly unprofessional and dishonest! On the site, it says "No Credit Card Fees, Free amendments and cancellations". I tried renting a car. ONLY AFTER accepting my payment by debit card, they inform me I have to leave a high deposit by credit card, which I can't do. I immediately cancel the booking, but Carjet refuses to reimburse me, stating: "To obtain a refund of a prepaid booking you must cancel it at least 48 hours before the start of your rental using the links contained in the voucher". This information is, of course, hidden somewhere in the fine lines of the site. In my case, I booked the car on THURSDAY 20/08 at around 6:30 pm to collect the vehicle on SATURDAY 22/08 at 9:00 am. This means, from the moment of booking to the moment of collecting the car I would have less than 48 hours so it would be totally impossible to cancel the booking 48 hours before the start of the rental. Even so, they DID NOT inform me about it or about the credit card deposit they would later ask. They took my payment, refused to reimburse me and won't answer my emails!”

“Booking was incorrect. Tried to amend my voucher & the option did not work. Tried to ring them unsuccessfully & cost me a fortune to not get through. Tried to cancel entire booking. Couldn't due to THEIR mistake! Then they sent me 2 emails confirming cancellation, but with NO REFUND again due to their mistake not mine. Best of all carjet forgot to cancel with the car hire firm. Therefore I collected the hire car & couldn't fault my experience with them. In future I will be happy to deal direct with the hire firm themselves. Carjet are fortunate to get 1 star from me. Total shambles!”
“The rental itself was done correctly (I got the exact car I ordered), but there is no customer support at all. Means: I got problem with Iceland Nordic Car Rental (refusal to reimburse me for car repair which was a clear responsibility of the rental company) and Carjet did not even answer my mail, no responsen at all.
