“i've booked a car online with CarJet in Antalya ( checked first their rating at Trustpilot and got confident) made all required payments from credit card, after some time i adopted my pick up date/time at their link provided on confirmation per flight arrival, also mentioned flight number and deducted child seat but i haven't received any confirmation of this by mail, i thought this could be due to their policies ( info would be amended for internal use as this was on their site ) but to be sure i tried to phone them without reaching to their customer service with no success so i thought i could lose only few hours from this booking that i tried to postpone per flight arrival. Upon arrival i was terribly disappointed as i couldn't reach their customer service neither Goldcar, i reached Goldcar office and this was closed with no working hours mentioned on their door. I had to take a taxi to get to the resort which is more than 100 km away from Antalya. Next day i tried to contact both offices to get any information on my booking and finally on 4th day i managed to reach their office in Spain and i was shocked to hear that my booking was not valid anymore as i delayed for booking time, also they informed me that no booking adoption was received and all was my fault. I should say this is very clear to me that this is specially introduced sort of scamming to get revenues on customers that expect service to be provided and pay money in advance. It's shame that this practice happening on EU soil and in order to get this scam company to the court customer who lost money should pay for lawyer amount exceeding lost costs.
I suppose we customers who lost money could unite and hire some lawyer together to split costs for a case against this scamming company.”

I recently booked a car in Turkey and purchased an insurance policy through Carjet’s website. I received the documents that stated the insurance coverage was only in Europe with no reference to Turkey. I was told anyways that I was covered and received information with what remaining payments to expect upon arrival at my car pick up point. When arrived the rental employee could not speak English and insisted in charging a value higher than expected. I later discovered it was an extra insurance policy, even tough I showed my insurance purchased through Carjet. I attempted to cancel either one of them and Carjet’s costumer support response, jumping through different personnel was always unhelpful because my booking had started. They offered no valuable solution and showed themselves unavailable to liaise with the rental company, whose service I’ve booked through them. I am extremely unhappy with the experience and one can keep wondering what’s even their service offer…”
“I reserved a car with full insurance. When I received the rental confirmation the price was over the one without full insurance but quite lower than what was expected. That was the first complaint... no solution. Anyway, I realized that the full insurance was not being charged so, I used the Carjet platform to solve the problem, by contracting it again, before picking up the car. I thought everything was right, once they already have my credit card number. But I got an accident when they told me that besides not being covered, their system did not register any try of contracting full insurance and ask me to provide a prove of that. (I did it twice! and how to prove if they do not provide any e-mail). Very convenient for them. Reading the other reviews it is easy to understand how they treat their customers. Runaway from their services. Rent a car direct from the rental company. In my case was Europcar (even cheaper if direct contacted). Why did I use a service from a 3rd part... never more!!!”
“Fiz uma reserva para o período de 29/12/2020 a 05/01/2021 com um carro a levantar da Guerrin no aeroporto de Lisboa.
Paguei 181,84€ com o meu visa, na hora de levantar a maquina do prestador de serviço da Carjet, neste caso a Guerrin dá erro 902, este erro é uma incompatibilidade da maquina com alguns cartões e nada tem a ver com o plafond.
Não aceitaram fazer o visa manual, não aceitaram deixar a franquia em dinheiro e mandaram-me anular a reserva por culpa da maquina deles. Resultado a Carjet diz que só devolve dinheiro antes do inicio do aluguer, mas de que maneira é que isso pode acontecer se o aluguer não chegou a acontecer e alem disso a culpa é da maquina deles, eu nada tenho a ver.
Já enviei emails e já pedi, mas não respondem aos emails.
Quero que me seja devolvido o meu dinheiro.”
“The car, the collection, the return all very efficient. No problems at all.
But.
The contract specified that no money would be deducted from my CC. On returning the car I was told (much to my surpise) that the deposit (€900) would be returned to my CC account within 10 working days. It took 2 months, multiple emails, and the intervention of my CC company (I raised a dispute with them), to get a full refund.
I doubt if I would use them again, despite their competitive prices. They damage ONLY THEMSELVES and their brand REPUTATION by these actions. Maybe their business model relies on only a few people taking formal action against them.”
“READ MY STORY! NEVER EVER RENT W/ CARJET.
The costs appeared to be TWICE as much as the low prices they entice you with. I used my creditcard to pay my deposit. It didn't accept my code, 3x. No other way of payement. I said I'll be back tomorrow, since I already payed for it. I had to take the metro, bus, use face-masks, a lot of annoyance and a lost vacation day. I called home and my bank (they said I entered the right code, but "annulated by merchant"!!) and tried different things. Came back next day. No car, no other car, however I told it was their fault. No mercy, no help, no money back. I had to travel more days by metro/bus and eventually I had to pay evth again, but went to another Car-rental. That went perfectly.
They lied, they cheated, they didn't offer any help. USE YOUR MONEY WISE. THIS KIND OF CHEAP COST YOU A LOT MORE THAN A RELIABLE COMPANY!!”

“Terms and conditions said they accepted debit cards. They didn't and the rent ended up being 303 pounds more expensive than expected. The company (carjet) never gave me a good explanation as to why Goldcar did no accept my debit and said it was too late because I had signed the agreement.

I booked and paid for my booking on the 1st November to collect a hire can from airport on the 7th November for 1 week,
After arriving at the airport on the date and time stated I was advised they had no vans for me, they then offered me a people carrier instead of a van that I originally booked but said if I wanted the people carrier I would have to pay £1500.00 deposit, This did not work for me so I did not bother
After searching for a contact number I spoke to someone from car jet on the 7th November and I was advised I would receive a refund within 5 working days and guess what, NO REFUND
It is now 18th November and I called car jet again today and I was told I may have to pay a cancellation fee, after arguing with the operator he tells me he is waiting for confirmation from the branch that no money was taken before I can have a refund?
I decided to call branch myself and was told by the worker that they have not held any funds and they cancelled the booking on the 7th and I should have had a refund by not, the worked also told me NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY as they have problems with them all the time
So now nearly 3 weeks later I did not get any services from them and I am £250.00 out of pocket and I am accruing charges on my credit card because for some reason they are NOT refunding me
Don’t make the same mistake as I did please avoid this company they are out to rip people off”

“We have used Carjet twice in Faro, Portugal. In each case it was trouble free and the prices were way below the next competitor. Yes, at the rental desk the hire company will try and sell you extra insurance cover and freeze 1500-2000 euros on your credit card to cover damage, but all of the hire companies do the same, irrespective of which online agency you book through. A firm, polite refusal is all that is required. I am about to book with Carjet again in December.”
“My contract included free cancellation.
I cancelled my reservation the day before the start of the rental and I was told that it had been received and is being processed.
It is close to a month now, and they still refuse to refund me.
They initially claimed that they wouldn't refund me because I didn't provide them with the reason of my cancellation in an email they sent to me after I cancelled asking me for my reason.
[Nowhere did they write that they can only refund when they are provided with a good excuse...]
When I pointed out to them that I had indeed explained to them then my reason for cancelling, they then asked me for proof to back my explanation.
Their treatment is appalling and humiliating, and their conduct is downright dishonest.
I assume any positive reviews they have are from customers who weren't unfortunate enough to have to deal with them...”
