I was offered full insurance abs zero excess, when I went to collect the car the rental company said if you want full insurance you need to pay extra , i try to contact car jet no reply . Just automated email beware not trustworthy comany

I booked a car via CarJet to pick-up at Schiphol airport from GoldCar outside of the airport. The CarJet voucher included what appeared as sufficient information on how to contact GoldCar representative and how to pick-up the car. I followed the instructions but found no GoldCar representative and could not reach them in phone number included in voucher. Being late, after one hour of not having been able to contact GoldCar, I rented another car. While picking-up the new car, with no time to spare, I have been contacted by a GoldCar representative. I explained that under the circumstances I had to cancel the booking. They understood and apologized but said that I should contact CarJet for the cancelation and the refund. Later in the evening I logged in CarJet site and asked for a cancellation explaining the circumstances. CarJet replied with a no-reply “dry” email saying that they accept the cancellation but that there will be no refund after the hire period has already started.
 Following that, I have sent several messages to CarJet and even contacted GoldCar. GoldCar have been understanding (I could talk to a person) but would direct me to CarJet for any refund. Bottom-line: CarJet pocketed the money for a service that has never actually been provided. GoldCar claim they got nothing and where happy to cancel. Worst of all it is impossible to contact in a meaningful way CarJet. There is just no after-sales customer service.

We booked via Carjet with their partner Fair Car in Iceland. We agreed with the rental company Fair Car in Keflavik Int airport that we would return the car on 11 July between 8:30 and 9:00 in the morning. These are not out-of-the-office hours. We arrived at exactly 8:45 and everything was closed, no one to be seen. We had 2 phone nrs, so we called : no reply, even after 4 min waiting. This is really not acceptable. We were standing in the middle of nowhere with 2 kids, and had our flight to catch. Since we did not know when someone would show up, we had to order a taxi, to bring us to the airport. We are very very disappointed about the service, no one being in the office, and no one answering the phone. I sent a complaint to CarJet, as well as to Fair Car itself, NO reaction from both sides, complete silence. Afterwards, I read many bad reviews on FairCar in Iceland, I can't understand that Carjet continues to work with them. Will never book via Carjet again.

Das ist eine totale verarsche. Wir haben ein wagen pber carjet reserviert auf Rhodos Griechenland, bei der ankunft wurden wir abgeholt und zu Abbycar ein angeblichen Partner von carjet gefahren. Als wir dabei waren das Auto anzumieten, wurde uns gesagt das, das Auto nucht versichert sei obwohl wir eine vollkasko Versicherung für 5 Euro mehr abgeschlossen haben. Dann hat die Dame uns gesagt das wir das auto so nucht anmieten können da wir sonst 1150Euro extra zahlen müssen. Sie hat gesagt das wir die möglichkeit haben 175 euro zu zahlen damit das Auto versichert sei um es anzumieten. Nach 45 min und die 159 Euro die wir bei der Reservierung gezahlt haben und 175 Euro extra für die Versicherung haben wir das Auto endlich bekommen und mussten sogar 100 Euro bar aös kaution noch hinlegen. Sowohl CARJET als auch ABBYCAR sind dir größten Betrüger. Wir haben somit 334 Euro für ein heruntergekommenen Fiat Panda gezahlt und empfehlen qirklich jeden der diese Bewertung ließt, niemals aber auch wirklich niemals ein Wagen von Carjet oder Abbycar anzumieten. Ps ich habe nachdem wir das auto bekommen haben, 1,5 std in der telefonwarteschlange von Carjet gewartet und niemand ist rangegangen. Ich werde dagegen rechtlich vorgehen. Leibe Grüße

Case CJT-34759976 CarJet will connect you with Goldcar. When you reach an issue with Goldcar, they will send you to CarJet. CarJet will simply ignore you. One shows no accountability, the other simply ignores you. My card was rejected at the Goldcar car desk even though I had the correct card and amount to navigate the complex and far from transparent set of rules lay down by both CarJet and Goldcar. After initially explaining my issue and being ignored by CarJet, I posted a review in the hope CarJet would engage. They did, to ask me to repeat my issue, and then disappeared again. CarJet will show some form of support in public. On a one on one basics the support is not bad. It’s just non existent. One month after requesting support, CarJet finally decided to inform me that they will look at my issue. Outcome.... unknown. If you are a CarJet advisor and of you intend to ask me again what happened, please read the data in your CRM system. You happily kept my money and you simply ignore my repeated mails to review the incident. Thanks, Joao Lopes

Be smart and look for another car… Be smart and look for another car rental company. Carjet has deleted all contact details from their website since the Covid-19 crisis started. Our flight of 14.07.2020 with arrival early on 15.07.2020 in Reukjavik was cancelled by the airline. We immediately changed our car rental to the next day as the flight was going then. No car on our arrival and no carjet representative so we were forced to hire another car from another company. After lots of searches we managed to find an e-mail address and wrote to them with the request for a refund of our Euro 508,85 (Booking CJT-34758913). We never did get a reply nor a refund. Very unprofessional and not to be trusted.

We booked our car for July 2020 in November, due to COVID 19 our flights were cancelled. I had to cancel all parts of our holiday and everyone was happy to refund, until I contacted Carjet. They were unhelpful rude and not at all understanding, they refused to give a voucher or a refund, they said claim off your airline. When I said who could foresee a worldwide pandemic and people dying I was told your booking still stands and if the car is not collected you’ll still be changed for fuel and insurance. There was no reasoning with them, when I raised my voice through total frustration they promptly put the phone down. I rang several times and was told by each staff member basically it’s tough luck. Never ever book in any country using Carjet they are total crooks feeding off a worldwide catastrophe, they should be made to pay all the money back to people who have lost through this sad pandemic. I cancelled my credit card so they could not take any extra payments out, so one up to me 😡

if you are a woman and have a discrepancy over charging do not use this firm especially in liverpool very dismissive man on the main desk would only speak to my husband rude and was placing hand in the air even when I was not talking to him dusgraceful behaviour ' if I was not a strong woman I'd be very intimidated liverpool office avoid .

Zwykli oszuści i naciągacze Wynająłem samochód w Chani przez CarJet. Na miejscu po wyładowaniu okazało się ze muszę uiścić dodatkowe opłaty które już były uwzględnione w moim kontrakcie z CarJet Firmę wynajmującą nie była zainteresowana poniesionymi przeze mnie kosztami i nic nie interesowała ja mój kontrakt z CarJet Wyglada tak jakby CarJet pobierał depozyt bez jakiejkolwiek gwarancji przy wynajmie samochodu ceny, ubezpieczenia i innych dodatków Nie mogę uzyskać zwrotu zapłaconej zaliczki pomimo ze do wynajmu nie doszło z winy CarJet - zmiany zapisów umowy przy wynajmie samochodu, dodatkowe koszty jakie chciała ode mnie wypożyczalnia Tragedia, strata czasu i pieniędzy

Absolute disgrace. Our flight was cancelled so we emailed at 7.26am, 6 hours before we were due to pick up. They did not bother to ring the car company to let them know we were going to be late so they didn’t hold the car. They emailed back at 4.30pm to say our original booking stood....we called the car company directly who told us car jet had not been in contact and if they had they would have saved the car. We were then told the website does it all automatically...when we explained we had done everything they had asked on the website the lady on the phone said ‘you don’t use the website booking to modify, you have to call’. Great! So a website that is not fit for purpose and it takes them 20 mins to answer the call....if at all. We want our £80 deposit back and will never use this company again...looking at the reviews today it appears lots of people feel the same! Disgusting! I shall ensure this review is on every social media platform possible as I wouldn’t want anyone else to have to deal with this. UPDATE Despite telling us they couldn’t confirm a modification to the time of pick up they have charged us €8 for ‘considering it’. So now it’s €88 you owe us. Also interesting to note that the deposit you pay is not actually a deposit, it doesn’t go to the car lender or secure the car, it’s actually a handling fee. This is misrepresentation and goes against the consumer rights act 2015 in the U.K. REGARDLESS of where your company is based, if you trade in the U.K. you are bound to trade under these rights. STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE!

Open Letter Regarding - CJT-34759976 Dear Luis Araujo, President of Turismo de Portugal, Against all recommendations, I recently flew to the Algarve. It's the nation of my ancestors and I feel is important to support the country in this difficult moment. I rented a car using CarJet.com. CarJet.com is basically a search engine that works as a middle man between customer and the rent a car company. Together (in my case it was GoldCar the actual rent-a-car company) the two companies play a superb game of ping pong. The customer is the ball. Issues/Questions/Concerns with GoldCar will be swiftly passed to the CarJet.com court: "Your contract is with CarJet.com sir, not with us" CarJet will answer with automated messages and if your issue doesn't fall into their category of pre-defined problems..............well, they will just not answer..... I know these are details for a man of your stature and responsibility, but I find it concerning that while most companies working in e-commerce now focus more than ever in customer service and delivery..........the great majority delivering quality and a great platform for loyalty........in Portugal we still have companies offering poor customer service, no accountability. The problem though has to be managed by the local governments and tourism authorities, specially in countries like Portugal, that has an economy based in Tourism. Surely the mentioned companies will protect themselves with extensive terms and responsibilities, sales techniques and total lack of accountability, but the customer will ultimately be the one affected. And when the first point of contact of a family arriving from the UK at 23:30 is GoldCar.com and CarJet.com, you are ultimately affecting your tourism and seriously reducing the chances of repeated business. I work in e-business management at a significant level and what is happening at a rent-a-car level is only negative to the Turism of Portugal. This organisation is alsof active under the name of carjet. Carjet brought me into contact with surprice car lisboa. I paid incluseve full insurance car rental. Visiting the rental company they tried to charge me 2500 deposit, or extra payment of 140 euro. For me its clear that doyouspain and carjet do business with criminals like surprice car. The intentions of Doyouspain and carjet looks even to me because they dont react on My written complaint!!! Zo Stay away from Them!!!you are warned!

Make sure you read the small print as they have a hidden refuelling charge of £35 even if you return with a full tank. When questioned they just state "its policy" when clearly it is wrong to charge for a service that doesn't happen! £35 adds a significant chunk to your overall hire so I would avoid CarJet.

Absolutely disgusted! I booked a 2 days ago to which I have received an email the next day that the booking cannot go through because there is no availability! The next day the rental payment was withdrawn - over €900. This is unacceptable. Will never use the company again. Still waiting for a reply to my complaint!

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Lack of clarity on the package price, as soon as booking was made an email received stating that I have to pay a supplement of 200€ It’s impossible to find a solution with them.

Absoluteley UNTRUSTWORTHY company, my car hire for 10 days in July 2020 was supposed tobe 49.95 euros, I paid 4.95 euro leaving a balance of 45 euro to pay... NO OTHER CHARGES , when i collected the car i was charged 90 euros DOUBLE THE AMOUNT. Lying cheating company. See attached online form that clearly states local taxes included and the other from which also clearly states ONLY 45 euro to pay on collection.... DISGRACEFUL, WOULDNT TOUCH THESE AGAIN WITH A BARGEPOLE-- LIARS

I booked for today Sunday to pic up at 12:30 when I arrive to king cross station I called Millions time to the number they sent to my voucher 02071860000 nobody answer Then I looked for the office address and take more 40 minutes to get there, it’s inside a hotel, then the guy was rude and The phone never ends to ring, I said that I was try to call before get there and he said it’s not his job answer the phone 🤦🏻‍♂️ So he said the time was late than 13:00 and I need to pay a fee, I’m very disappoint Because I tried to call and I lost time on the station, then I decided to cancel and he say I have to pay anyway because the time for cancel was late than the time I had booked Very unprofessional guy, rude and unhelpful I didn’t find a company email and the number start with +34 the music never ends
