“Car 5-13 Jan, flight from Vienna cancelled due to Manchester not accepting flights, Snow, & I tried to phone both CarJet & Greenmotion, plus sending emails to both to say I will collect car day later! Spoke to Greenmotion in Spain explaining, told car cancelled! Lesson learned, shall not use for any future car hire! Hired car elsewhere, let them know flight late & car waiting when I got there. Not sure how you are legally allowed to do this, but hey enjoy you have more Profit by charging for car not used.”

“A "rip off" broker rental agency that put us in the hands of Goldcar rental who did not have the car we had chosen it being early January when the demand is low. Separately, the full insurance we had paid CarJet wasn't fully recognised by Goldcar.”
“Don't use Carjet.com They work with local rental offices and DO NOT check if these are reliable ones. We just had the most horrible experience with Carjet renting a car from Right Cars / Apollo car rental in Athens airport. They try to set you out with a worn out car and upon arrival they tried to rip off money for a minor scratch made by us. We didn't. As a matter of fact, the whole cars had these minor scratches. We let the police come so they let us go. They didn't want to give the damage report of €300 because I didn't want to sign. Now they withdrew €995 of my creditcard with a damage report signed by a different person. Carjet must have known this, because now we are checking the reviews and all of them are bad for that particular local company! So Carjet does NOT look out for you!!
And DO NOT rent from Right Cars / Apollo Rent Athens.”
“Please don’t use this company it’s a complete scam .the car provider didn’t arrive at the Marrakesh airport even though I modified my booking and also didn’t pick me phone .i had to take a taxi which cost £26 .
The next day I called early in the morning which no one picked up it took the local car provider half a day to respond which was too late for me and also wasted a lot of my time .At 3pm he was far away from the hotel .so I had no choice but to look for alternative
When I got back I asked for deposit refund
But they are not willing to pay me back
Please avoid at all cost if you want peace of mind at your holidays”
“Scam company. Do not I repeat do not book with them we had to pay excess of 1600 euros on someone else’s fault, on a 80 euro rental car. Terrible support. Hang up the phone mid call. Got lawyers on the procedure.”
“We booked our renting car with Carjet, but when we arrived at the rental office, our car wasn't available anymore because our flight had a delay ... The car rental office had cars enough, but we lost our money and we had to rent another car for our holiday at Krakovia. A real tourist trap! Don't trust them!”
“They advertise cheap offers and lure you in. I lost over 2000 AUD. We booked through Carjet.com for pick up from Europcar Coventry UK. Had a telephone call from Europcar to tell us that the car was unavailable on the 2nd but available on the 3rd Dec. We turn up on 3rd only to be told that since we didn't pick up on 2nd, there is no car available now. Interestingly, you could book a car from Europcar website for the same day from the same site. On cancelling the booking, we got an automated email from Carjet.com declining refund as the booking date has passed by 24hrs. And unable to contact them via the phone - company based in Spain.
My thoughts are that both Europcar and Carjet are unscrupulous
1) The recommendation for cancellation was made by Europecar, although they were aware that there was no scope for a refund from Carjet.com.
2) Carjet.com being a third party, take some of the profit away from Europcar and it would work better for Europcar if clients book directly with them so as to maximise their profit. Hence they are more likely to create confusion amongst the clients who have paid upfront.
As for Carjet.com, they are a fraudulent business that capitalises on hapless victims through false promises. I have looked thoroughly into Carjet.com website. The multiple reviews all relate to similar events where the clients are misled about time and availability of car rental to confuse them and subsequently not refunding the cost.”
“I was told I would have to pay £117.83 on arrival however after my long flight to Florida was charged £577 which as you can see is a massive difference. Car jet is not responding to my emails or answering telephone calls”
