“The terms and conditions button is very small and doesn’t look like a button. Behind the cheap prices you will find crazy terms and conditions like huge unrealistic prices for a small car scratches. TC should be very clear not in this way”
“WARNING: CarJet will leave you stranded if your flight is delayed!
We had a valid reservation through CarJet at Zurich Airport. Due to a flight delay — completely beyond our control — we arrived later than planned. Despite having a confirmed booking, they refused to give us the car and only offered a vehicle at more than three times the original price. Nowhere in the terms did it say that a delay would lead to cancellation. No service, no understanding, just outrageous prices. Never using CarJet again!”
“Placed a $3,000.00 hold on my Credit Card, even though total Insurance cover was taken over the vehicle. Maxed out my card thus, a very quiet holiday. This company is a disgrace.”
“I am sharing this as a public service to warn others about my deeply troubling experience with CarJet / DoYouSpain and their affiliated rental provider Goldcar in Mallorca, Spain.
I booked a car rental through CarJet nearly two months in advance, paying upfront for both the rental and optional insurance. Shortly after booking, I requested a minor change to the pickup time on the same day—not a cancellation or date change, just a later pickup time. CarJet flatly refused to make any adjustments, citing rigid terms and conditions, and eventually stopped replying to my messages altogether. Their “customer service” is virtually non-existent, and they do not offer any phone support.
I also reached out to the listed rental agency, Goldcar, to resolve the issue—but received nothing except an auto-reply stating it could take up to 14 days to respond. They never followed up.
After digging deeper, I discovered hundreds of reviews from others who were scammed in similar ways: denied service, no refunds, total customer service blackout. The entire setup feels engineered to take your money and avoid any accountability.
But it gets worse: Two weeks later, my credit card was compromised. I woke up to an unauthorized charge of over $4,000 from Ita Airways in Italy. I had not used my card with any other European vendors recently, and the timing and correlation between my interaction with CarJet/Goldcar and this fraudulent charge is more than suspicious.
To be clear:
• CarJet took my money and refused to provide service.
• Goldcar ignored all communication.
• CarJet has refused a refund despite multiple requests.
• And shortly after dealing with them, my credit card was used fraudulently in Europe.
I have filed disputes with my credit card provider and consumer protection agencies. I urge anyone reading this to avoid CarJet, DoYouSpain, and Goldcar at all costs. These companies do not operate with integrity, and in my experience, they pose a real risk to your finances and personal data.”
“WARNING: AVOID CARJET.COM & EASIRENT.BG – SCAM-LIKE TACTICS
I booked a car via Carjet.com with a deposit of €600 clearly stated. On arrival at Easyrent.bg, I was pressured to buy their overpriced insurance. Since I refused, I was forced to pay a €1639 deposit — nearly 3 times the agreed amount.
Upon returning the car, Easyrent.bg falsely accused me of damaging the windscreen — damage that was pre-existing, proven by my time-stamped photos. My evidence was ignored, my full deposit withheld, my phone number blocked, and I was left with no communication.
Carjet.com provided zero support, sending only generic, useless responses while hiding behind the fact that "the local partner is responsible." In my opinion, Carjet.com knowingly allows these unethical practices by partnering with such companies.
This feels like a deliberate system designed to extort customers. Either buy overpriced insurance or risk your deposit being stolen through fake damage claims.
Avoid Carjet.com and Easyrent.bg completely if you value your money.
👉 In my honest opinion, this entire operation feels like a high-pressure money trap designed to extort travelers: either buy expensive insurance or risk massive deposits and fake damage claims.
PLEASE SHARE to help others avoid falling into the same trap.

“Do not use this company!!. Booked and paid for car pick up Auckland airport. Advised them we need after hours pick which they confirmed and charged my card. On arrival, no car, no pickup service, no contact number. Office closed and we were left to pay for transport. This disrupted our holiday plans.
Next day when we went back to them as they had already charged us the insurance and damage waiver, we find out that they are a scam company based in Spain who use various locally based car hire companies but they don't pass on the information to these local companies for them to provide a car and service.
Beware when booking that you book directly with the local companies , not Carjet!!”
Alles in allem: Eine enttäuschende Erfahrung. Ich würde Carjet nicht weiterempfehlen und rate zukünftigen Mietern, sehr genau auf versteckte Kosten und den Zustand des Fahrzeugs zu achten.”
“Dear CarJet Customer Service,
I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding an overcharge related to my car rental booking through your platform.
On January 12, 2025, I made an initial reservation (invoice CJT-161354xxx) for an all-inclusive price of €107.53, with pickup at Kraków Airport. However, upon reviewing the rental terms, I discovered that the provider, CarWiz, despite being listed as an airport location, actually operates off-site and requires a shuttle transfer. As I explicitly needed a car directly available at the airport terminal, I modified my booking on June 2, 2025, and selected Europcar, which is indeed located within Kraków Airport. This resulted in a new booking (invoice CJT-17552xxx) for an all-inclusive amount of €111.62, including platinum insurance.
Upon arriving at the Europcar desk at Kraków Airport, the staff informed me that the CarJet insurance was not valid and insisted I purchase additional insurance, even after I showed them the official CarJet voucher. I ultimately agreed to this under protest, as I felt pressured at the counter.
After returning home, I reviewed the charges on my credit card and found the following:
€44.10 – initial payment from invoice CJT-161354xxx
€67.52 – charge by Europcar
€68.15 – an additional unexplained charge
The total comes to €179.77, while the agreed all-in amount was €111.62. This means I have been overcharged by €68.15, which I believe should be refunded.
I respectfully request:
A refund of the €68.15 overcharge;
Clarification on why Europcar refused to accept the platinum insurance;
Confirmation that CarJet will update its platform to clearly reflect which providers are on-site and which are off-site.
Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on the resolution process. I have attached both invoices for your reference.
Kind regards,”
“My booking by Carject was passed to Surprise, Carjet is the broker.
The experience Surprise was not good, hard upsell in the office, afterwards I realised i was charged for insurance that I didn't ask for, at the time Surprise said it was car hire payment. When I returned the car they tried to say existing damage was my fault, my view is that this is their usual play.”
“I booked and paid for a hire car through this company online I paid for premium car insurance with them also for peace of mind. However when I arrived to collect a car I was told I would have to pay £40 a day extra for there insurance. I told them I would like to cancel I was not willing to pay more money. They refused to give me a refund and said I would have to contact their office in Spain. Do not use this company they scam you.”
“I want to complain about car rental in car jet.
I booked a car in Turkey. The car was in poor technical condition, very dirty inside and out. They took a deposit of €950 from my card.
40 days after returning the car, the deposit has not been returned to me. The company is silent.
It seems that car jet does not value its business reputation ‼️”
“Extremely bad experience with carjet.com
I do not recommend carjet.com I paid in advance for a car rental at Bergamo Airport. We had an administrative problem when picking up the car. We were supposed to pick up the car at 3:00 p.m., we were at the agency 20 minutes before, but we had to call carjet.com support to correct the mistake on the reservation. We called them for 20 minutes and no one answered the call. Finally at 15:05 we get support and the girl brazenly replied that we were 5 minutes late and that she would not make an administrative error and brazenly hung up. In the end, we ran out of money and the car.”
