“Misleading Payment Policy and Terrible Customer Service
This agency is completely unprofessional. Their policy clearly states they accept both credit and debit cards, but when I arrived, they refused to accept my debit card and insisted on a credit card — something that was never mentioned beforehand.
They put me in an impossible situation and made no effort to help or offer alternatives. It felt like a trap, and their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. I’ve never experienced such poor treatment from a car rental agency.
If you value transparency and respectful service, avoid this company at all costs. They do not follow their own rules, and they don't care about the stress they cause their customers.”
“BEWARE: It would be best if I could give 0 stars. Carjet is the biggest rip-off company there is. I made a reservation to rent a car for two weeks for almost 500 euro. But when I arrived at the rental company I needed to pay another 1200 euros and the rental company said that the 500 euro was for carjet and not for them. After my holiday I have been trying to fix this issue with carjet, and 5 month of communicationhas gone by, without carjet solving the issue (and with almost no response). I am very disappointed in the company.”
“It was only when we arrived at car jet’s associate’s car hire office in Thessaloniki (Halkidiki, Greece) that we were told that if you didn’t take their excess insurance, they would charge us €40 if we brought the car back unclean! I’ve never - in 50 or so car hires - had a charge for bringing a car back dirty!! There’s no way I was going to let them charge us so we brought it back spotless, but I never would have hired from them if I’d known that in advance. Just trying to scam you out of money!”

“At Lisbon Airport. Our plane had a delay of 50 minutes. Carjet knew or flight number. They cancelled our reservation and nobody came to the meeting point. Very bad experience and will never book again through carjet! To avoid!!”
“I booked car by carjet. The company didn’t give me a car and I cancelled directly my booking. After 4 days carjet gave me back 53 euros from 279 euros they took. I don’t recommend carjet,better you make booking directly with companies”
“Con Artists - Avoid at all costs. They cancelled by entire weeks booking because I was over an hour late to collect. They made no effort to compensate me or facilitate another car. Never heard of a rental company having a 60 min collection window. Absolute money racket.”

They give essential information about some additional fees not directly in confirmation but hide it behind some additional buttons where you have to find it yourself and if you don't find this then the car rental company will later demand from you additional payments several hundreds of euros.”

“I have rented cars several times through Carjet. Alway positive.If you don't need their support, it's a great car rental broker. But once you need their support, it's very bad. My credit card was charged for 487,- after I returned my car without damage and fully fueled. I returned the car on 08MAR25 and so far they have not been able to tell me why my credit card was charged. Even after several requests, the same answer, we are waiting for Hertz. I prefer not to write reviews like these, but I feel helpless. My legal insurance is currently working on this case.”

“We booked a car and the driver was supposed to pick us up from the airport at 1am. He never showed up. Carjet did not offer any help. We had to take a taxi in the middle of the night paying enormous rates. Despite several emails sent to carjet, the money has not been refunded so far and the company is unresponsive. Definitely not recommend.”
“Even though they do have a straightforward booking process and everything goes smoothly... until it doesn't. Putting a seamless online sales process together is apparently easier than being genuinely customer-friendly. The booking fee (at least the part that goes to the actual rental company) should be refundable if the rental company refuses to provide service for any reason, any time before the rental starts (it does happen!). The 48-hour cancellation policy only makes sense if the customer cancels. In my case the renting company cancelled on me and I still got no money back. I find this appalling and just a simple rip-off. Never using Carjet again.”
