We had made the booking through carjet - the hire company is Alamo
The Alamo representative told us to contact carjet for a refund
Carjet refused claiming we were late -(we had booked the car for 12 nights and only a slight delay on the flight time)
Opened a chargeback from our payment provider - carjet now claiming we never even turned up at the airport
Very poor customer service team , dismissive and rude and unable to tell the truth in an attempt to steal £200”
“DO NOT USE CARJET. We arranged for car hire from Crete Airport and provided our flight details, as requested, so that our flight could be tracked. When we arrived the offices were closed and none of the phone numbers provided by Carjet were answered. We had to arrange for a taxi to take us to our hotel. Since then we have asked for our deposit to be returned. We have been requesting this since June. Carjet asked for proof of the phone calls made and we gave them a screenshot of those. Since then, silence. They ignore all emails sent asking for the return of our money - Carjet is a scam. Do not use this company.”
“I have travelled the world and hired cars everywhere this is the worst company to deal with and the manager at Thessaloniki airport the rudest. They gave us a non road worthy car we could have been killed they did not care or give us the money we spent nor did they compensate for our time wasted. They tried to blame us although we had proof. They even told us to put in the bad review they did not care. Beware of hidden costs as well. This is not a cheap company. They are rip offs. This is why they are one star. “This is my second attempt to contact the company which is clearly ignoring me, not responding to my emails, it is unprofessional and it is impossible to contact any representative to discuss my issues, no costumer service available (?). I paid full amount of money for the car I never driven. Car rental period 25.08.22-30.08.22. Pick up point Munich airport in Germany. My flight from London was delayed by an hour. Original arrival time to Munich 10pm. I have arrived at the rental desk at 11pm to find the office closed. I managed to contact a representative (?) on provided in reservation number but it was based in Spain not in Germany. This person informed me of a closing hours and that she is unable to help me and I should be back next day otherwise my reservation will be cancelled within next 6 hours. This person was lack of knowledge and unprofessional. I hire the car to be able to transit between cities. If I would be able to come back next day I would not need the car to hire. During reservation there was no information provided in regards to office opening hours. With such knowledge I would never book a car arriving to Munich at 10pm, as a result, I have been left with no transportation to continue my journey through Germany at 11pm at night. I am requesting for the full refund to be made otherwise I am prepared to take future action.”

I booked this car plus insurance on the 26th July 2022, I went to pick up the car on the time given 10pm and EASIRENT told me that they didn't have a car for me and that the booking should never have taken place as they didn't have any car to rent out and it was not EASIRENT's problem and that I should contact CarJet to get my money back, I contacted CarJet and was told that I would get a answer and refund after CarJet had contacted EASIRENT now its the 2nd September 2022 whats going on?? I just want my money back for not getting a car on the date and time I had booked it, that should be very easy to figure out!!! So what really irritated me and spur me to write this was this 9th call I made to CarJet where I explained my case again to see how fare they had gotten and why it had taken so long, and the support contacted EASIRENT straight away putting me on hold, the CarJet support got back to me and said that EASIRENT had taken the money and don’t seam to want to give it back?? So you can’t have the money!! I said that’s Theft/Stealing she didn’t see it like this, I then had to explain it to here in another way, “if you go and buy for example a shirt and you pay money for it and they don’t give you the shirt…” that’s stealing!! She then put me on hold and returned and said we will get back to you!!!”

Anybody tried to refuse payment from visa card? It's said that you need to try to negotiate with the company but if they don't answer showing this chat to visa should be enough to claim your money back?
With airlines the EU is so strict but renting a car it seems there are no regulations! How come they don't need to return you the money if you are late and the car has been rented to another? The company didn't lose any money....
I had the same issue with Abby in Heraklion but I'm sure there are other disgusting rental companies at the airport. All terrible companies and unpleasant people. Probably they knew what they are doing....
I wish them all possible terrible things because it's so awful to destroy people's vacation with such nasty practices but Greek and other countries allow this to happen so it's also speaking "for" the country itself and how the tourists are protected - or not like in Greece..... (Alternate Turkey has its own problems but at least you will be hardly betrayed like this)”

I booked a car and pre paid for it for Zante (Greece)
Carjet proceeded successfully with my payment and they sent me to Europcar.
I went out of the airport , went to their office to collect the car, they wanted a credit card which I don’t have (and i already told them that when i booked the car over the phone)
They didn’t gave me the car and they didn’t gave me the money.
Those f*** scammers ruined my beautiful holidays in Zakynthos and they STOLE MY MONEY.
By the way the same terms and conditions for the credit card in different countries doesn’t applied.
You can get the car with debit card.
They really stole the money just like that.
I hope those 2 companies to have big fines from the European Law and hopefully shut down their scam companies .

“I had almost exactly the same situation as I have read here by countless others. The only thing I can do is to leave another review to say I would avoid this company at all costs. There is no customer service number and the emails are eventually ignored. I ended up paying for insurance twice and Europcar covers there backs legally by not honoring any third party agreement. THIS IS CLEALRY NOT A COMPANY YOU WANT TO BE DOING BUSINESS WITH. BOOK DIRECTLY THROUGH RENTAL COMPANIES.”
