“After travelling the world for more than 30 years, I must say that I have never met bigger croocks than Carjet. My credit card was charged twice for the full rental amount; the exact same amount on the same day and still they simply refuse to refund my cash. Their own staff at the car distribution centre informed me about this malice conduct of behavior of their management, fully admits that it is not correct, but ofcourse nothing is done. They are not even answering my emails. This organisation is only interested in taking your cash and is zero interested in delivering any service. Do not book here! Save your holiday and stay away! I'ld rather walk than book a car here.”

“These guys do hide behind their digital desk. The advertise with a low price and rip you off when you are at the desk. The force you into another insurance which you thought you already had booked onto the internet. it either a insurance or a 1600,- euro deposit and a 183,- payment for fuel. That much fuel doesn't even go into a fiat 500. When you ask at the desk fpor a refund they say you didnt pay me anything you did pay caryet. this is when you know you are fucked. do yourselves a favour doný go to Carjet.”
“Just stay away from them. I arrived at wroclaw Airport with 2 small kids and no car. Car was prepaid. No answer by call or email. Hoping my credit card company will reverse the charge and at some point the Spanish authorities trading standards will start to protect consumers clearly being scammed.”
“First of all I booked a car for in Scotland. They could not offer the car they were offerring. It had limited km’s. I called 5 times and after waithing 30 minuts on the phone the line was broken 5 times. They cancelled that booking booked an other car.
They did not ‘tell me that they booked the car 10 km drive from that other place’ they did also not inform me that the nee car was at an other company.
Now I see they charged me 75 euro to much. I try to call them now already for one out and every time after 30 minuts waithing the line suddenly stops…
It’s horrible. Also there has been charged 237 euro and the men behind the desk of budget car took my credit card that day I have to check if this amount of money has been taken by him because there is no referral to a company.”
“Booked an Europcar car through Carjet and had a terrible experience, both with the cars and the customer service.
1. My first rental car developed a warning light within 4 hours of driving, causing me to have to delay my trip home by a day.
2. My second rental car developed a warning light within 3 hours of driving, causing me to have to drive more than an hour out of my way (and pay for the petrol used in doing so), delaying me still further.
3. Europcar and Carjet both refused any liability or responsibility and I never received any meaningful apology or compensation for my day's delay.
4. Europcar then charged me an additional fuel charge without informing me of this charge, despite the fact that I had filled the tank minutes before returning the second car. This was reimbursed eventually.”
“WOW WOW I have two rentals with this stupid ass Company my flight has changed now I am arriving 5 hours later I cannot modify it online I have been sending emails all I get is automated responses that makes no sense. “Awful customer service. We hired a car through this company for a recent holiday to Portugal. Our flight was delayed by 2 hours meaning we didn't arrive into Faro airport until 23.50. The information and telephone numbers Carjet provided us to call on arrival at the airport were incorrect so we were unable to contact the company to arrange courtesy bus to take us to collect our hire car. This resulted in us having to sleep over night in the airport with three young children! When we eventually managed to flag down a passing courtesy bus the following morning (through luck rather than arrangement) to collect our car we were told they had cancelled it as we were a 'no show'. The hire car company advised us to contact Carjet as they were who we paid the money to. Carjet are refusing to refund us despite giving us incorrect contact information for the car hire firm and repeated emails from us and the car hire firm confirming what happened was out of our control. We have tried emailing and phoning carjet only for them either to not respond to the emails, try and pass the buck back to the car hire company or just flatly put the phone down on us mid conversation. An absolute disgrace. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY”
“I booked a car hire from Malta Airport for 21 days. Rate looked good so I paid. However when the voucher arrived 2mins later it said SPAIN!!!!! NOT MALTA. I Tried to call NO ANSWER, twice after long waits. Tried to email no email address other than auto email addresses. Tried to cancel online told NO REFUNDS/CHANGES even though it is their fault. Spoke to Gold Car to be told not their boking not their error go away. Now claiming fraud with my credit card company to see if they can sort out this rip off. All I can do is make sure the whole world knows on social media what it is like to deal with CarJet. As I work over seas I use a lot of car hire companies.
I was also very disappointed to have to agree to terms and conditions WITHOUT the option to read them when cancelling the booking. NO LINK, NO MENU OPTION... Is this legal???? CJT-48750627”

It never happened to me before!!!! I went to pick the car and the supplier told me they have no cars available and I have to cancel my reservation my self and I tried to call them on the phone number and I couldn’t reach anyone either.
I’ m very disappointed
I don’t know if I will be able to get the money they withdraw from my bank account back or no! What a shame
And I will never book through them again

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wish I had read reviews before booking with Carjet. Initially booking was easy and the prices reasonable - however, when we arrived in Crete the office was closed and this was despite the fact that we provided details of our flight. The company says it will keep the office open 1 hr following landing. We were at the office well within that allotted hour. The office was closed and none of the phone numbers provided were answered. We had to arrange a taxi to the hotel. We tried to contact Carjet regarding a refund of our deposit - that in itself has been a nightmare. Eventually they just refused to return the deposit. This company is not to be trusted - don't throw your money away.”
“What l load of con merchants. I paid £86 deposit for the car. Got a taxi to the airport where they picked us up. Got to the office and because I didn’t have enough credit on my credit card. I couldn’t leave the £1500 deposit. They did take us back to the airport in Madeira

“Carjet makes (and takes payment in advance) reservations for car rentals with rental companies like SIXT that end up not existing. I booked a car rental with Carjet, paid in advance and received the booking confirmation from CarJet. When I went to collect the car I was informed by SIXT that the reservation was CANCELLED. No notification by CarJet whatsoever. Still trying to get my reimbursement. Very difficult to reach anyone at CarJet. Calls get cut off after 15 minutes of waiting for someone to come on the phoneline. Disastrous customer service - steer clear of this shady car rental outfit!”
“Absolute disgrace of a company. Avoid like the plague. Booked a car to be collected at Bordeaux airport for around 21:00 hrs. At some point during the booking the time has defaulted back to the original 10:00 am. When I checked my booking the other day just to confirm everything was OK I noticed the time error. I tried changing it on line & couldn't as changes weren't allowed for my booking. Eventually managed to find a phone number to ring. ONly to be told because we are going to pick the car up over 6 hours after the original time the booking will be cancelled & I will not be given any refund. It is a complete rip off of a company. It is tantamount to theft & the annoying thing is you can't do anything about it.

“I am really astonished to read all negative reviews about CarJet. Early this month I booked 5 days rent. Their website is simple, clear and easy to navigate. Someone from the car rental company was waiting for me outside Dalaman airport arrival terminal with a sign and smily face to pick me up, he took my laugage and me to their office which is just 5 minuites away. they delivered exactly the same car I booked, it was a brand new one and very clean. I was a happy customer so I made a second booking which will take place the coming few days. The only negative things I observed is the lak of direct email address, almost empty fuel tank although I returned the car with more than half tank, I think they must apply full to full policy. One last thing is the insurance confusion; when you select a car you see full insurance but when you go to booking and before payment you see select full insurance with about 25-30 Euros or take the risk with no insurance which confused me. I am planning to book with then when ever I fly to Turkey.”
