“Booked a Nissan Qashqai and unfortunately paid 100 euro in advance. And I was proposed toyota camry sedan. I travelled with a dog so I needed a space for a dog - not in car trunk. So I resigned. They had only one car available. I hadnt got a refund. They kept lying that toyota camry sedan is similiar to SuV and that they offer always 4 or 5 cars to choose from. Nope. Thats a lie. So, basically they stole me hundred euros.”
“Not helpful at all. The voucher did inform us what rental car office to pick up the vehicle. I kept trying to call CarJet while walking around in the heat. No one ever answered. Even through email, they do not respond. Finally a different car rental office found the location and I walked even further to where the car was located.
Don't use CarJet if you like good customer service or communication.
Walking around aimlessly in the heat not knowing where to get the car was sooo stressful. Not a good way to start vacation.
Then we were charged over $40.00 because we had to drop off the car at 7:30 to catch a ferry. They charge us "out of hours service" when all the other car rentals open at 7:00 so folks can catch their ferry!!”

Sure, the prices look great on their website, but good luck trying to find any form of customer service. There’s no contact number, no way to get help—nothing, absolutely nowhere. And when you inevitably run into a problem (like we did), don’t expect any resolution.
Our flight was delayed by 7 hours, and their response? "The car is gone because you were late." Really? You’d think a car you rented for 10 days would still be yours, right? Think again. No response from them for a week, no refund, they’ve literally vanished.
So those 'great prices' end up being the worst deal ever, because you’ll be scrambling to find a car last minute and dealing with an extremely frustrating situation. Avoid the nightmare!”

I haven’t had chance to chase the second theft, but it is clear why they can offer cheap prices. They steal from your credit card once they have the details. If you don't have an EU drivers licence DO NOT BOOK WITH CARJET.COM I have a Canadian drivers licence and the rental company wanted to charge me another 300 euros on top of what already paid online when I booked. I only found this out at the office at the time of pickup. So I decided not to rent for this amount. Then the pickup time passed while talking back and forth, and trying to call Carjet but unable to talk to anyone. And because the pickup time passed I'm not eligible for refund. Is that how they make money? How I am supposed to get an EU drivers license before traveling? They know that. Disgusting. “Do not use this company! They steal your money! Do not use goldcar either. They are scammers and need to be put out there so the public are aware and can close down this company. I returned my car into Málaga airport as they told me to signed that everything was normal and provided a receipt of fuel filled and they told me everything was fine. The next day they took money out of my account without permission which I will report as fraud on my credit card. They don't reply or try to understand you. “Do not dare to rent a car through this company. When no problems arise, the price is reasonable. When problems arise they will not help you at all. I sent at least 4 emails to customer service. I received a system response that they accepted my request and will get back to me as soon as possible. More than 3 weeks have passed since the last email. None of their representatives got back to me. Think about what this means and what a path of agony you will have to go through until you get an answer if, God forbid, an accident occurs and you purchased insurance through them. In light of their conduct, I believe that you will not receive a refund and if you do, they will take your soul out. The story in brief. I rented a car through them from the Sixt company in Larnaca, Cyprus with full Sixt insurance. I returned the car at the airport. The Sixt company representative confirmed that everything is OK, including a full fuel tank. To my surprise, two days later I was billed by the Sixt company for about 24.5 euros without any documentation. I contacted the Carjet company 4 times asking for assistance and clarifying the issue. With the exception of confirmation from the computerized system that my inquiries were received, I received no response.
This is the service consciousness of the company. I will certainly not rent a car through them in the future even if it is at a cheaper price.

“We rented a car through a Spanish company ( we were not told this at the time of booking). We paid a reservation fee. The balance to be paid at the collection .
We rented a car for 25 days from Antalya Airport. It was supposed to be meet and greet. No one came to meet us. We rang the number on the reservation voucher and we were told that some would be there in 10 mins. An hour later a driver came to collect us. Our car was reserved from 11 pm. We got to the office at 12.30am.
Now the fun really started. I was told that because my credit card only had 2 and a half months before it expired- it could not be used. It had to have six months before expiry. However an alternative was to buy insurance from Carjet to protect the deposit. The deposit was costing more than the cost of the car hire. Two options were given; buy the insurance ( to be paid for by the not usable credit card), or cancel the car hire. It was now 1 am. The staff at the counter was very rude. I said that at the time of the time of the booking nothing was mentioned about the expiry Six month rule. It made no difference.
In the end I cancelled the booking and went back to the airport. I managed to hire another car from another company at a similar price.
Everyone- please stay away from Carjet. They are a scam. They show cheap prices- but they try to skin you for more money when you try to get the car.
I am wondering if the Spanish company will refund the reservation money 60 euros. I doubt it.”
“We reserved a car online. This all seemed easy and in order, through local partner CARANDGO. Upon arrival at Heraklion, we were already warned when asking for directions that we had to take extreme photos with this lot. When we arrived at the counter, two other people were already arguing with the staff, saying that their credit card was not working, which it should be. Once it was our turn, we had to have the deposit reserved on the credit card. Every time we typed something on the machine, an error message immediately appeared. We were told: we cannot reserve the amount long enough. This is nonsense, because we were able to do this later as usual. So we did not get the car (after they did try to get us to pay 4 times the amount). The message was: contact Carjet and you will get your deposit back. That same evening we contacted Carjet for a refund, and help with a new reservation. Now, 3 weeks later and 2 more attempts to get in touch, we still haven't heard anything. And there is no way to find another way to contact them. So we are still waiting for a refund. At this point it feels like we were scammed by Carjet, and escaped it with their partner CARANDGO. I would never rent a car from this party.”
“Beware of this scammer!!! We rented the car online for 17 days to pick up at Vilnius airport. When we arrived, the car we requested was not available since we showed up 1 hour passed the pick up time… I rented a car for 17 days, and it must be available whether I am using it or not!!! I was offered another car that was 3 times more expensive than I originally “booked”! When I refused to overpay, they charged me the deposit. I ended up booking the car at the same building from another service provider for the same price I ordered the original car. In addition, I have noticed multiple complaining customers at the Car-shit booth. They are scammers collecting deposits, and counting that confused renters will pay what they will ask at the rental office. Beware! Wandering where is federal agency that must protect the consumer from the scammers such as this garbage?!”
