“Last week I was on holiday in Portugal and due to a credit card issue I was unable to receive the car at the pick-up location. I had made and paid online reservation. Spoke to the employee of Carjet and she would cancel the rental and make sure I get my money back. I was supposed to be notified by email, but I haven't heard anything yet. I called Carjet today and after 45 minutes I finally got someone on the phone. She pointed out to me the conditions that I was too late with canceling and that's why I don't get a refund, then she just hangs up! What rudeness and bad customer service, when in Portugal I canceled over the phone before the rental period started and the employee would take it further. There is also no possibility to send an email and call again with a huge waiting time with the risk of being hung up again immediately. I wanted to say this to the Carjet.com that I don't think you can treat customers like this!!”

I had this reservation for a car but our plane from Bergamo was about two hour late and at the airport the goldcar office was close and we had no alternatives to take a taxi to the hotel and come back the day after to try to take the car booked... but at the Goldcar office they said the reservation was cancelled because it was made by your site. Can you do something to give my money back?”

I was on vacation in Portugal, made a reservation. They switch dates for the next day, car was not available. When I called they didn't wanted to change it, switch car, said I will loose 350 Euros if I cancel. Had to go to Europecar directly. They also took 28 Euros for premium insurance I did not have.
When I called they didn't returned money because I did not call 24h before.
Customer service is horrible, at the end she hang up the phone on me!!!

We arrived at Edinburgh where there is no office just an intercom to talk to them in a major noisy car park. They demanded more proof of our address before we could have the car. Wanted paper copies of utility bills. Do you take them on holiday with you? We certainly don't. Refused to give us the car, which we never saw anyway,not sure it even existed. They were happy to take the money and not refund as WE didn't cancel in time. They cancelled it not us. No one answers phone or replies to emails. If you look at website they state they solve 82% of problems. If the reviews here are the other 18% there must be an awful lot of complaints.
Do yourself a favour go somewhere else. There must be some sort of recourse to the scammers.”
“It was a big mess between Carjet, the operator and the customer. Got wrong pickup location, I was also not informed that somebody feom Europcar would pick me up at the airport and once my card was not accepted (which was my fault) and they didn't take Revolut Visa debit card I couldn't rent the car, I didn't get money back and there was nobody at Carjet to help you with anything. Broker to avoid!”
“DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY YOU ARE NOT COVERED BY THEIR INSURANCE THAT YOU TAKE OUT WITH THEM EVEN IF YOUR PAPERWORK STATES 100% COVERED AND THE €15.66 QUOTED TO PAY ON ARRIVAL ENDED UP BEING €33.19 PLUS €77 FOR DEPOSITO COMBUSTIBLE AND A FURTHER DEPOSIT OF €1100.00 AS I REFUSED TO PAY AGAIN FOR CAR HIRE AND INSURANCE.
WE WERE TOLD THAT THE CAR WAS NOT PAID FOR EVEN THOUGH CARJET HAVE TAKEN €144.40 FROM MY CREDIT CARD AND THAT THE HIRE COMPANY - GOLDCAR HAD NOT RECEIVED THE PAYMENT.
I STUCK TO MY GUNS AND REFUSED TO PAY, YOU WILL NEED TO BE THE SAME OR JUST DON’T USE CARJET IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY MAY LOOK CHEAPER, BUT WHEN YOU GO TO COLLECT YOUR CAR YOU WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA.
JUST GO DIRECT WITH A CAR HIRE COMPANY - NEVER AGAIN, AND WE WERE NOT THE ONLY ONES TODAY HAVING THR SAME ARGUMENT”

“Could not collect the car I hired as the hire company only accepted a credit card in the drivers name to pay the deposit, they would not allow me to use another credit card or my debit card and refused to release the car as a result. I called CarJet to request a refund and they refused as they said I did not cancel the booking before the pick up time and because I did not comply with the hire companies requirements. Avoid using CarJet!”
“To be honest if I could give minus stars I would, absolutely shocking company to deal with. I’m still fighting for money back from when I was on holiday a few weeks ago. Got to Poland, Warsaw Chopin airport and they couldn’t provide my baby with a car seat capable for even a doll it was that shocking I wouldn’t even go the toilet in it. When asking for refund I was told give me 30mins they will go out and buy 1, this was not the case me and my family where left in the airport for 7hours with a small baby knowing we had a 4 hour drive to our destination. It’s not been a couple of weeks since I’ve been home and still no money back from either side. I strongly advise NO ONE uses this company.

“This experience has proven once more why it is vital to check reviews beforehand. The car rental in Athens is a desk from Europcar and horrible service. The credit card was not in the name of the main driver (which has NEVER been an issue at multiple rentals in the past) and therefore the entire booking was refused with no refund. Europcar has no access to the system to change ANYTHING and the call center has no access to the system either. Who cares which credit card is left for the deposit the fact is that there is one. Customer service so unfriendly and I would in no way recommend this car rental.”
“Did not allow me to cancel. No refund. No contact details. Can't find T&Cs on the website. Had to book an alternative on arrival at large cost. Phone support in Spain and no help or concern. Awful. No option for zero stars? Please contact me carjet if you read this... booking CJT-43454344”
