Initially our first year of cover was excellent, with extra benefits included at no cost, and a competitive cost. Unfortunately, this then renewed at twice the price, and the only notification was an email to check the online portal, something I admittedly missed, but specifically request paper communications for all my insurance an the like for this reason. Upon cancellation of the policy, over £90 of additional charges were put on the policy which seemed unreasonable and excessive to be quite honest. Moreover, the renewal was twice the cost of the previous year's cover, with no claims made. I have since gone elsewhere. Live chat is the only way to really contact the firm it seems, which is a bit annoying, but I did get an response within a half hour of waiting. LH1, the agent was actually very helpful, and I have since resolved the cancellation fee issue following some explanation from them and expressing my dissatisfaction. However the practice of doubling the renewal and then charging the cancellation AND broker fees seems quite shady. This is the reason for my 2 star review, while customer service when encountered was good, and the previous years service was also good. I cannot abide by the renewal and exit.

I hate online chat systems - they are clunky, time consuming and do not allow quick answering to provide the information required. This is perhaps a general malaise in the insurance industry but I do not like it.

I have difficulties using online forms and tech in general. My physical and mental health issues have been worsened trying to get my problems with my policy sorted. You make it impossible for someone like myself to be able to just pick up a phone and talk to someone. So impossible I have wasted over three hours searching online and in your chat continually being forced back to the portal page and being told I've contacted the wrong department and having to wait even longer to wait to live chat with someone, who then doesn't bother to read all the previous messages above and expects me to type everything out again! There are thousands of individuals like myself who for whatever reasons struggle accessing and using online forms and documents. Why not make life easier for us and provide a phone number? Onecall Insurance? How can you be called Onecall when you won't provide a number to be contacted on?

Not great on live chat. Twice chatted trying to retrieve a quote for 2nd car on policy. Much prefer to speak to a person, also couldn't apply £40 discount. I'm already insured on another vehicle so didn't think it would be this difficult. Live chat is not the way to conduct business even with covid.

Added my daughter to my policy for 6 days and charged over £84, when published charges for a change in policy is £39. Extra charge for using LIVE CHAT was £39 and was not made clear. Do not think I will be renewing with One Call

When I enquired about a discount for my second insurance policy for my van l was told since i got it on a comparison site and I already got a discount. Anyway my policy hasn’t started yet it’s due to start 14-12-2021 and if i cancel and reapply. I was told it would probably cost me more to cancel before it even starts.👎

It would have been a lot quicker if I could have spoken to someone l am 72 expecting of my age to on line to fill everything in is just to much l was pleased when I first took it l could speak to someone in person but that has been cancelled

i had an online chat with operator PM6 who was ok however after trying to cancel my policy advised me there would be a fee of £59.95. I stated this was a crazy fee for what is essentially a few clicks of a mouse . She said it was all set out in the terms and conditions and there was nothing she could do.

after having to cancil my policy after only 11days not only did you charge £50 for adminbut a further £40 for 9days cover total of £90 very expensive would not encourage me to use you again

I am 83 and tried ro change my address on the chat line. I couldn't find my bank card do i said i would do it online. I went online the next day and it said i had to pay £24 which i did and then i got an email to say my insurance has been cancelled. I was very upset by this. Could someone not have called me to explain the situation instead. It is not very good customer service especially for an elderly person like myself.

I am cancelling my insurance with 3 months to run and getting no refund.Check the policy out or ask when you apply!
