I waited for a long time 3 times and it kept cancelling out. And when I got through they couldn’t help much.

Tried to phone had to go to messaging site which took ages. Got cut off once. Trying to insure my new car took over an hour then told it couldn't be done. Have taken out insurance from a new company so need to cancel my 1 call insurance. Gemma Murton

live chat is a joke ,,takes hours,,days ,,,who knows be warned ,don't have any problems they can charge you for

I bought motorcycle insurance on line yesterday and today tried numerous times to access my account without success! I have at present over eleven emails from One Call asking me to access my account, but each time I tried I could not as it showed an error. I eventually contacted your virtual assistant to try and get my documents, but again with no success! I again tried this afternoon and thank goodness this time got agent AE4 who quickly emailed my certificate etc. Thank him as by now I had given up!! I couldn't even phone!! I am now in receipt of my documents, but am disappointed with the amount of time and hassle I had to endure. Thank goodness for agent AE4.

I contacted Live Chat because there was no phone number to be found. I was told that a link would be sent to me via email and that it could take up to 15 minutes for it to arrive. Almost an hour later and I'm still waiting for it! The poor rating is for this particular Live Chat experience.

JD7 was helpful and achieved the result I needed.. However, I really think One Call should reopen to telephone customers. It would've been much much quicker to resolve the problem over the phone!.. Also, after several attempts I couldn't access the 'Portal' to print off some documents. Relying on IT is a poor plan!.. Overall, a simple task which normally would've taken a couple of minutes took up over 30 minutes.. Such a pain. Probably won't reinsure next year if it's still this bad..

Was given a code CK7 for £40 off next perchese when I took another policy and gave this code that would only give me £20 off not the £40 it said off next policy WHY !

I wanted to cancel my policy within the 14 day cooling off period because it did not cover all my needs. I was charged an eye watering £60, of which £49.99 was claimed to be a setup fee. So much for the legal 14 day cooling off period and a full refund. I would accept a fair admin fee, but more than 22% of the annual policy is not reasonable. As usual it's just another rip off by some companies. One Call Insurance

Switch to insuring a new car was fine. But no easy short term insurance for old car up to date of disposal. New breakdown cover documents issued but car details not updated to the new vehicle.

With regard to my recent communication with Josh (JD7). I must say that the matter of a £39 administrations fee for my No Claims misjudgment (7 yrs not 6) is very harsh and way over the top. I understand that an administrational fee is relevant . . . but a £39 'penalty' is excessive to say the least. I received an email from you stating . . . Welcome to the Family' ! Needless to say the feeling is not mutual at this moment. I have two cars now insured by your company and am satisfied both policies that have been agreed. However the Administration charge I think is unfair in my case. Josh by the way was ok. Pete

Was trying to amend online policy for the car, system said no hence tried using the Live Chat facilities, got cut-off so many times I gave up!!

Agent PD2 was very polite, courteous and pleasant to deal with. No issue at all with the agent. The 2 stars is for the online portal that you need to use to discuss insurance since all phone comms are suspended. It took 8 (eight) attempts to get through to an operator on the chat line. Each time faced with same problem: 'you are number X of number Y in the queue, your estimated wait time is ZZ mins. This refreshes periodically but instead of the numbers reducing, queue place remains unchanged and wait time rises!! So you join a queue at 10am as position 15 of 15, with wait time of 20mins, 20mins later you might be 14/15 and wait time now 20+mins. Appreciate we are in strange times but if wait time expected to be 40+mins - say so.

Had to speak to 3 diff people. First cut me off straight away. Second a Daniel b, after telling him my problem started talking about changing my email . Then ended the chat. Finally after 1.5 hours the 3rd seems to sorting it. I hope.
