I had a DoorDash account that I wasn't aware had been suspended. On Feb 2, 2023, I underwent major surgery, during which friends and family provided food and gift cards for my recovery. One of these was a DoorDash gift card worth $80.00. After adding the $80.00 gift card to my DoorDash account and attempting to place an order, I received a message stating that my account wasn't active. Upon calling customer service, I was informed that my account had been deactivated due to fraud. Despite numerous discussions, I was unable to obtain a refund or have the credits transferred back to the issuer's account. DoorDash deactivated my account and retained the $80.00 gift card credits. What measures are in place to prevent such actions in the future, and why does DoorDash retain funds from deactivated accounts?

• today • Reviewed on Never delivered, this rating is not for the food because i never received it. I specifically asked the dasher to hand it to me because i had issues with leave it at my door in the past. They called me saying they couldnt find me. I told them in the delivery instructions and over the phone where i was. Suddenly it was marked as complete and No food. I reported it and doordash immediately declined the refund. I called and they said they would escalate it even though it was already declined. No i have to wait for 24 hours until they decline it again. Doordash is a bunch of thieves. They stole my money here. NEVER USE THEM!!!!!

I'm always getting disappointed with doordash. Every single time I doordash something is always missing. I continue to go through this because I'm busy and always tired and my family has to eat.

I order a burger and fries, I got the food and the burger was cold and the fries were cold and shriveled up. This food was beyond saving and was tossed in the trash. Customer service offered a third of my money back to my card or Door dash credit. LOL as if I want credit. Give me my partial return and hit bricks! There are plenty of other services.

Well they delivered my food 1500 miles away so they claimed with an old pic sent to me and the wrong place when i asked for a refund they refused..so do not use door dash..use uber eats instead..doordash is the worse food delivery company outthere

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I rarely order from doordash and the one time I decide to indulge it gets delivered to the wrong address. I walked around the apartment complex and never found my meal. When I told DoorDash I never received my order. I waited for the customer service to “review” my request. No one asked me any questions or did anything. I received an email saying that my request for a refund was denied. I will never use DoorDash again. It is the biggest scam. I might as well have set money on fire.

0 out of 1 I don’t recommend! I order a remote that doesn’t work and need to simply exchange it and they are denying it and Best Buy won’t do a simple exchange so now I’m assed out of $40.00!!! I will never use door dash again

Got here fast and hot however dasher just dumped it all outside my door and didn’t even knock so I knew it was there. Didn’t find out till I got worried and checked the tracking and went and looked outside my door. Not cool! I am reluctant to use door dash again.

When you sign in with there per hour rate they always change per offer. It is deceptive so you take lower pay offers. Now you can go beyond 90 percent completion rate so you have to wait at pickup no matter how long or unorganized the location is.

I’ve been waiting 2 hours for my frickin pizza just to hear that it got in another direction.Like my kids and I haven’t ate nothing since breakfast and have been out all day.And now I have to wait 30 minutes because that’s how far they are.Like DoorDash need to get their gps right and make sure it sent to the right address.

Ordered seafood boil 4 times canceled. F Minnesota restaurants( crafty crabs) short service and horrible food. Don’t be on DoorDash if you can’t fulfill the Danm order after 3 hours. Zero stars DD. I’m out!

I was charged for $110 worth of food that never arrived and the refund was not approved after multiple appeals. I will never use door dash again and recommend deleting your app. This was only my 2nd time using the app. I received someone else's order and paid $110 for $20 worth of someone elses food. When I requested to speak to a supervisor I was informed that my only option is to speak with my bank and see if they would refund me and then doordash disconnected my call. I attached the picture of my order through the app and then the receipt of what I received. I ordered 4 burgers, received one vegan burger and was denied a refund.

First instance: My car was being repaired so I used DD to pickup an order for shipping for my small business. The DD driver stole the order. (admitted to doing so) 2 weeks ago, we ordered a pizza. $37 total. Driver was instructed to leave at door and did so except at the wrong home. She texted a pic. Told her it wasn't my house. She accused me of lying about the address. Told her I can prove where i live and she didnt' leave it at my house. She then accused me of taking the pizza inside and lying about not getting it. Finally admitted she left it at the wrong house (townhouses) but couldn't recall which home she left it at. Said it wasn't her fault, she had done her job. Told me (and I quote), "I mean, you can just go outside and walk around until you find it". Actually, I wasn't able to. I am treating for colon cancer and have cold sensitivity from chemo. My wife wasn't home to go out and she shoudln't have to wander around a development looking for food in the dark anyway. I told driver this. Driver said she was too far away to return to look. It had been 10 minutes since she delivered. DD"s rules say the driver must return within 30 minutes of delivery to retrieve the food. She refused to do so. Contacted DD immediately. They refused to contact the driver. Said they'd 'review my case and determine the outcome. Got an email a short time later. DD REFUSED to refund my money. I fired off another email and got on a live chat with customer service and asked for a supervisor. Was told one would call. No one ever did. Took 24 hours to hear back and was told I'd be refunded via CREDITS in my account. I did not want credits, I wanted my $ back. Had to contact the CEO's office. Got the $ refunded and was told they put $25 in my DD account for the trouble. They never did. No punishment for their driver who accused me of lying/stealing, refused to do her job and told me to go out walk around and find the food myself. Disgusting company. I closed my DD account. DD could care less about customers.

I ordered food and it was delivered to the wrong address. I contacted doordash multiple times to let them know. I even spoke to the person delivering my food. She told me she received the wrong address. She could not back in her phone to find that address. My food was never found but it was delivered. I never received my food. Doordash was made aware. I was eligible for a refund due to their policy. What policy? I was told this would be sent to be appealed and I would be notified in 24 hours. I never received notification. I will not be using door dash in the future nor recommending it. Very poor customer service!!!

Received an order today from McDonalds and two of the sandwiches were missing - just not in bag at all. Worst customer service experience I have ever had to deal with! And I was in customer service for 30 years!!! If you have ANY type of issue with your order, agents make you wait an hour for resolution then send an email denying refund no matter what the problem is. I even called the number to speak to someone and was hung up on my two customer service agents! I finally spoke to a third one and asked for a manager in order to get ANY type of help., but she even tried to sell me on the restaurants giving them problems saying the Dashers are stealing food out of bags! How is that the customer's problem?!? And why is the customer being penallized for it?!? Pathetic! I have NEVER had an issue with a Dasher themselves with one exception (whole food order smelled and tasted like weed - couldn't have my child eat that!) I ended up cancelling my subscription because of the awful treatment!

Absolutely terrible I recommend to never use door dash Uber eats is way better I was locked out of my account because I accidentally ordered to my previous address after moving. At the time I had been using the dasher app to make a little extra money while I was looking for a new job and when I was locked out and tried to contact customer service I was transferred 2 times, was put on hold for 25 minutes, and when I called back and asked for a supervisor I was told I’d have to wait 2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous I still have over $50 sitting in my dasher account that I’m not able to get thankyou door dash. Dasher or ordering off the app is a hassle and customer service will barely help cause they don’t know what they themselves are doing

Dashers steal ppl food then they want give u your whole refund then when you receive someone else order and show them the receipt and food picture they will deny for a refund I AM DONE WITH DOORDASH AND I BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER STILL AFTER THE FACT DASHER DO BETTER ESPECIALLY WITH THESE DELIVERY DRIVER THEY BE STEALING

I don’t often leave reviews but this is unreal I ordered food and someone name Peyton picked it up and took it and canceled an never gave me my food and when I called customer service they left me on silent hold. This lady took my 5 year old kid food and they won’t refund my money. If anyone knows what I can do or help me pass on the word of be aware of doordash. This is really disgusting

This company seriously sucks. My orders arrive incomplete half the time. I don’t know if the drivers are incompetent or hungry. I just deleted their app on my phone. I suggest you do the same.
