4th Jan - parcel due. texted a 1hr slot. Didn't arrive. Reason given - no contact number (they managed to send me text though). Rang them but next earliest delivery they could offer was 7th. Nothing to say about contact number so presumed they could not find me (been here before lots) so checked address and gave details on where to go from where there sat nav would take them. 7th Jan - no text message but an email from BT giving time slot. Didn't arrive. Reason given - premises closed. (It wasn't) Rang in - Waited several minutes to get through and they cut me off. Rang again - reason they gave was that driver was in Gedney (why?). Then they said BT had given them the wrong town. But I had checked address and postcode previous friday. No - had wrong address on and he was out of area. Couldn't deliver it on way back to depot, wouldn't give me depots number, told him i wanted to speak to manager to make a complaint - told that managers would only call me. Home phone running out of charge so asked him specifically to call my mobile number as i was going out soon and gave it to me. Got home late to answer phone message on my Home phone saying it was BT's fault as wrong address, although it never came up on 1st delivery. Called BT - who confirmed as i suspected that they had exact address my home phone is registered to and where I live. Still no parcel and who knows what will happen tomorrow - no confirmed delivery time or message as yet. Would have given them -1 if i could but why would you use a company that cannot be honest?

Like most other users on here, I found this company to be completely incompetent! I knew I was not going to be in on the day they were due to deliver my parcel so arranged collection from Halfords as a pick up point. I had a text from DPD saying it would be there from 12pm the following day. It wasn't. They then tried to deliver it to mu house the following day when no one was in again! Tried to contact them which was impossible to talk to an actual human. The automated message said they would try to deliver today, when I was actually in and they didn't. As others have said I don't know why any company would use these cowboys/cowgirl, they will tarnish anyone's good reputation.

Honestly speaking I rarely leave bad reviews but this delivery service is disgusting! Major retailers must black list them as distributors as they destroy the online buying experience! You book a time and date, take off work for the day or sacrifice a Saturday tracking using the app designed to give you a false sense of security. To eventually receive a message lying about how we missed each other when they didn’t even attempt to deliver! The man left the card 5 mins away from my house the wrong address!! How with modern gps technology that I had on the app and when I called they admitted he made a mistake and would come back later in the day but never! It happened on 4 different occasions the last was my sons birthday gift! Completely ruined his day

These shocking reviews are flooding in daily and most are having the same experience of DPD being dishonest and totally unreliable. WHY DO ANY COMPANIES USE DPD? WHY DO THEY RISK BEING ASSOCIATED WITH THESE DREADFUL, UNRELIABLE, RUDE, DISSINTERESTED AND FRAUDULENT INCOMPETENTS ?

Second time in a month they say they have tried to delivery a parcel and left a card but have definitely not been here. Today at the time they were supposed to have called I was sitting 6 feet from the front door. No card left. They are now saying they will try again mid day tomorrow meaning as a self employed person I cannot go to work .

DPD are totally useless , they tried to deliver a parcel left and card saying we will be back tomorrow that’s today Friday 4th and no delivery has taken place on enquiery they said they tried to deliver it but no one was in ... TOTAL LIES I HAVE BEEN IN ALL DAY I TOOK TIME OFF WORK, AND I HAVE NOT LEFT THE HOUSE. THIS IS the 3RD TIME YOU HAVE DONE THIS WHEN DELIVERING A PARCEL .. YOU ARE A COMPANY WITH NO MORALS AT ALL , I ADVICE ALL BUSINESS OWNERS TO USE OTHER CARRIER COMPANIES. I HAVE CCTV YOU YOU TURNING UP LEAVING NO NOTE TO SAY YOU TRIED TO DELIVER ON THE DAY BEFORE YOU SAID YOU WERE DELIVERING , HOW IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO KNOW. 1 you turn up before the date your tracker says 2 you don’t leave a calling card 3 when you did leave a calling card on the second delivery call ( as we did not have a clue about your first call as you left no card ) it said we will call back tomorrow, guess what I stayed home on 3rd January 2019 and no delivery so I checked the tracker and it said delay so it will be delivered on 4th January 19 so I took another day off work and guess what noooooooooo delivery yet again I would give minus stars if I could this is the 3rd time of parcel delivery trouble with DPD.... I don’t have problems with, amazon, Hermes, ups. Parcelforce etc SHAME ON YOU DPD

I have never seen so many awful reviews for one company and these also reflect my own experiences of DPD. I cannot understand why any company would want to employ their 'services' as they are so unreliable and dishonest. Then there is their terrible Customer Services that seem to be employed to stick two fingers up at their customers. DPD are a totally unprofessional, rude and dishonest company who obviously have very little respect for their customers and clients - they should be avoided at all costs. Suppliers take note and find someone better or you will continue to lose customers and DPD will continue to 'lose' your parcels.

An employee of DPD stole my pandora jewellery, the parcel was delivered only containing just a gift bag and delivery note. The box was ripped with a hand sized hole! The driver put the parcel on our wheelie bin (just by our front door) while my partner was signing for it the rip in the box wasn’t visible. The driver virtually ran down our path jumped into his van and drove off. When my partner picked it up he noticed the rip and looked into the box, no surprise, a gift bag and delivery note, but no jewellery. I have contacted DPD via email several times, but like other reviews they are not interested. If you want to speak to the rude, confrontational “customer service” team the connection cost is £6! They are obviously trying to not deal with complaints and issues of theft by their members of staff. They know pandora refund the money spent, in my situation I didn’t want a refund, I wanted what I ordered in good faith. The items are now out of stock, so yes I have my money back, but I am very unlikely to get the special edition items that was ordered for a special gift. I wish that reputable companies would use reputable couriers.

I shudder when I see DPD will be 'delivering my parcel safely'. I have no idea how they are still in business but I have not once had a parcel delivered when it should be and where it should be. I never call customer services for anything else but with them it's every time. Currently on hold with them, they have a message asking you not to shout at their staff when you call - really says it all.

If I could give this company no stars I would. They have been holding a parcel for me sent from Spain for over 15 days, have changed the delivery dates without notifying me twice and when I call them they admit that they have damaged the parcel and so now I have to go collect it myself because their drivers will not deliver it. They also lied and said that the sender had requested it back hence why they could not delivery it to me. The sender has confirmed that this is not true which makes me think they might have either severely damaged the contents or got the parcel lost or stolen. Their customer service agents don't even try to help, they find excuses not to be able to do it and to have you wait for someone to call you the next day.I am beyond frustrated, please don't use them!

Terrible delivery and customer service!!! 2 parcels of mine disappeared, one before Christmas and one after. Did not receive tracking numbers, delivery confirmation or email. Parcels "signed for", the driver "accidentally" gave to one of my neighbours and when I asked him to tell me where he had conveniently forgotten which one. I have had more expensive parcels left with my neighbours and they have all been received. No return calls or information from customer service. Formal complaint issued to DPD and both companies I purchased from.

Giving one star to DPD is unfortunately providing them with at least one more star than they deserve, and I feel that I am detracting from companies that actually deserve their one star by doing so! It’s my own fault really. I should know better than actually expect a professional service. Perhaps if I accepted mediocre, then it would save a lot of hassle. Anyway, my experience with DPD has been shambolic, including: The driver taking my parcel to the wrong address, then claiming it couldn’t be delivered due to ‘incomplete information’! Then, despite being told that it ‘will be out for delivery on 2nd Jan’..... wasn’t, and in fact disappeared from the depot due to it not being scanned! There was also the two times that I utilised the online ‘chat’ facility on the DPD website, and was disconnected by the operator both times, because I wasn’t prepared to accept the information he was providing. And lest I forget, the saga of my emailing DPD, in the hope of getting some semblance of an answer to my issue, The relevant departments contacted by me, all had reassuringly professional titles, but that is where the professionalism ended. My replies consisted of waffle, the dreaded ‘management speak’, more waffle, and the distinct impression of being mugged off !! You would think that someone in the ‘executive’ admin department would at least be able to spell, and construct sentences..... But, there I go again, expecting a professional service!!

Well DPD absolutely F'd up my Christmas and left two very dissapointed children (al though probably two happy DPD employees children!!) Parcel promised on 4 occassions well in time for Christmas and now suspisciously 'lost' !!! DPD service is atrocious !! They are dishonest and very rude when and if you can get through to complain - they are just taking your money and running in the most cynical and fraudulent way - they seem unaccountable and make complaining and chance of compensation nearly impossible - Time to get together and take legal action against these fraudulent crooks....

Waited in 3 days running for delivery and 3 times received message saying couldn't deliver no-one in blatant lies no attempt to deliver even took a photo of the school next door showing it's gates closed, I don't live in a school!!!online chat cut me off each time I complained and return call form filled out but no call received and got the drivers mobile number and he just said I'm not coming back despite being 5 mins away. Terrible company will cancel parcels now and will inform suppliers why and will not buy anything from anyone that uses dpd as their courier.

Driver says no one was in despite gate being opened and I being in! Photograph taken by the driver which shows the gate being opened. No phone call to see if I was in. Made no attempt to drive through the gate and find our unit. Disappointing as they have let me down due sheer laziness and Nike who trust DPD to deliver the goods. It is extremely disappointing.
