Sent a parcel that was meant to arrive in 3 days. After 2 weeks of delays, they send the parcel back to me! During which i couldn't even contact them! They didn't even have a real call center.

I would like to share a recent experience of your team member at DPD Customer Services (by recent I mean today about 5 mins ago). I have called to enquire about my parcel delivery, after 15-20 mins on hold trying to get through to a human being – and pretty “annoying” message from yourself saying about treating your staff politely and not abusing them. Well how can you assume everyone is abusive is beyond me and recording that type of a message pretty offensive to all other customers, that are not abusive! Never the less, I got through to someone who has been speaking in a manner, where I could not understand the word. Not because of their accent, but because he decided to recite in such fast manner, you could not get a word out of what he was saying. After I asked him twice to slow down, so I can understand what he was saying he continued to being all funny about it. He asked me for a parcel number, which I have given him but suddenly now he told me I am speaking too fast. Well he clearly couldn’t take his own doing, so he decided to tell me he won’t be speaking to me and hanged up! Unacceptable behaviour. I cannot give you his name even, as clearly I would not catch it in the manner he spoke to me. Attempt number two. Somehow I got through to customer services after about 3 mins this time, but have been put from one advisor to another – 3 times now! Yet no one is able to tell me where my parcel is. I am being put between imports, exports, local deliveries. Does anyone in DPD actually know what they are doing? Final advisor told me my parcel is still in Netherlands – why am I receiving messages from yourselves to advise it was du to be delivered to me today on 3rd of May after 12pm? I was now told over the phone that because parcel is coming from abroad, you cannot guarantee delivery and now to probably expect Tues /Wed! That is two weeks nearly since it was first dispatched! Firstly you are giving customers wrong information, why am I even wasting my time calling DPD trying to locate a parcel that was expected today – due to your own information system – sending me text message and same message online. Secondly why is DPD a one global company not got any decent communication system in place, and just ends up blaming the other DPD for all that has gone wrong, and won’t accept a liability (isn’t DPD UK, DPD Germany, DPD Poland etc etc same brand after all??) This company is nothing but stress and hassle. Each time I use DPD my parcels come late, not in time that is provided on the website, at times they got completely damaged, I get rude customer advisors over the phone, paying a lot of money for service that doesn’t get delivered yet you won’t accept any complaints nor financial responsibility. It’s disgusting, your company doesn’t represent any values . Quote taken from your website – “In addition, our team of people has the technology and information systems to provide a seamless service for you and your customers.” At which stage was my service seamless? It was never ever seamless! Nowhere online I can even find company values or customer promise, clearly because you would not be able to deliver on that promise (as per short above statement). Maybe it is actually time to invest in better infrastructure, stop over promising on services you can’t deliver, plan better and employ better people with actual standards and work ethic and telephone etiquette, rather than rude and clearly unhappy people.

Have used them three times. All three times I had to redirect the parcel to a pick up location as I wasn't home during the delivery slot they provided me with. All three times they failed to deliver my parcel to the pick up shop, and instead of giving me an alternative they sent the parcel back to the sender. When I contacted their customer service they told me that there was nothing they could do and that I should contact the sender! This has happened 3 consecutive times! They are clearly incompetent. I never plan to use their service again, and I would advise you to do the same.

I tried repeatedly to request my delivery was left in a safe place. There was an error message that it was not possible to update, so i tried the webchat, which directed me to the same form. The driver had not received my request and it has not been possible to arrange delivery to the safe place. the webchat is a robot, which is not able to answer questions. Very frustrating trying to resolve problems with this company.

If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible service, the doorbell was never rang. We receive dog food through them which is especially important to be received hand in hand and in good condition. We always take care to stay in and receive it and we still fail as they never ring the bell. We left multiple notes on our file to always ring the bell. No luck. If that wasn’t enough- on multiple occasions the boxes were left barely intact, falling apart, open. Terrible service I’m not sure how they can even be in this line of business.

I seemingly have the same problem as everyone else. Saying they have delivered when they haven't, no buzzer was rang, no card was left, nobody to take a call when they blatantly lie! I needed my laptop for work the next day and paid for a specific time slot, stayed home because i already knew DPD were rubbish and it still happened. Infuriating that there is no reprimand for this.

Unable to talk to a human. Delivery driver dino not bothering to turn up. Stating delivery note left when there was no not. Photo of street is just out of the back of the van and not even where I live as I live in flats. And contact sms stating delivery time between 11:18-12:18 sent at the same time as sms saying no delivery which arrived at 11:50. Despite previous contact information saying delivery time slot will be organised and I will know when it is before 11.

DPD are abysmal. Every time they fail to deliver to my address, despite having a postcode, picture of the building, instructions and my mobile phone. It seems I am never in when DPD call, despite always being in. They allegedly leave a calling card, though I have never seen one. I have no idea who they are trying to deliver my parcels to, but it is most certainly not me. They are so bad it is almost like they do it on purpose, they are beyond incompetent by several orders of magnitude.

DPD are a disgrace, they promised to leave my parcel with any neighbour as I was out and have lots of neighbours who are always in. Instead they have left it at a pick up shop at a drive of 24 miles in a different country. I live in Monmouth Wales and my parcel is in Ross on Wye England. Difficult to contact as automated systems. Emails have not sorted this out so now I must spend time getting a card refund. Other carriers, Amazon and PO are great, but will ensure DPD never again.

Ordered a Dyson vacuum, on a next day delivery by 12.00 noon, 2 days ago. Tracking disappeared by 11.58 and stayed that way all day. Driver said he had tried to deliver and left a card. Lie. I was on all day and no DPD driver came here. I have cctv and can prove that. I had to get Dyson to intervene on my behalf and my item was delivered 5 mins ago. I will use any retailer that uses DPD as it's a very stressful and frustrating experience. On another occassion my dog food order was left 3 streets away by DPD and luckily the recipient was honest and called me to let me know and I had to get my hubby go and collect it. I complained to DPD and they sent me a very patronising messaged iced on a stale biscuit, saying we are very sorry. I have a photo of it. Pity I can't put it here.

Always cheeky and dishonest. They are probably running late on their schedule, so invent that the customer is not in, despite the fact that the buzzer is perfectly working, two people in the house were very alert as they just spent £500 for the damn item they ordered, no one even knocked at the door and no calling card was left. I have now written a formal complaint to Dyson and other companies that use them, asking to carefully consider changing courier, as this is not the first time this happens.

worst shipping company ever!!! drivers do not deliver and state I was not in, even if I'd waited for them all afternoon long. Rescheduling for deliver to my neighbour, got an email confirmation. then, after a while, got another email stating my parcel would be dropped in a shop 5 miles from where I live. USELESS DRIVERS, USELESS CUSTOMER CARE!!!!! THEY ARE THE WORST. I BUY A LOT ONLINE and never have problems with royal mail, ups, parcel force. Some issues with fedex, but DPD is by far the WORST.

I should receive my package yesterday. They send me notice at 9.30, that I'm due for delivery between 9.32 - 10.32. Today I should pick up the package from the shop that I choose, wasn't there, but they didn't even bother to tell me that is delayed. I call them and the guy try to imply that is my folt that I wasn't home. Why they even exist as a company?!

I would not be one to write reviews normally, but I feel it is my civic duty to warn people of the terrible 'service' that DPD provide. If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a phone online worth in excess of €700. I received a text from DPD that my package had been delivered and signed for, even though there was no one at home to sign for it!!! It turns out the incompetent driver had left the package (a €700 phone) on my doorstep and logged it on their system as signed! Thankfully, my housemate arrived home and saw the package on the doorstep but if they had not, the phone could have easily been stolen by opportunistic thieves (there have been a lot of attempted break-ins in my area recently, so this is not beyond the realms of possibility) I would highly recommend avoiding the use of DPD at all costs

I ordered a package and paid for same… I ordered a package and paid for same day delivery. The parcel was supposed to arrive today but it did not. I had no updates so I contacted dpd and they told me that they had lost my parcel and that they were very sorry. I explained that I had paid for same day delivery because I will be leaving UK tomorrow so I will not be able to receive it even if they find it, but they said they could do nothing more, just investigate and answer back at me in 4-5 days. People in customer service seemed used to that kind of situations (they must lose parcels all the time) and they were trained to speak in a very specific way. Never trust dpd or the eshops working with them.

Do not use this company. I scanned and sent a parcel on 2nd April. on 23rd April I am still waiting for the item to be located. Appalling customer service. Appalling follow up. Absolutely pitiful service and company. Nothing good to say about them.
