We checked in to the lounge at 11.35am, it appeared to be close to full capacity. Tables were dirty and used glasses/plates hadn't been cleared away. We cleared a spot ourselves, with a member of staff close by, watching on. I had to ask for our table to be wiped over. Sandwiches were not available until 12.25pm (over a 30 min wait), a very small wooden tray box came out containing the smallest muffins I have ever seen ... which went within seconds, we had to wait a further 10 minutes for another small wooden tray box to come out from the back. One person was operating the bar area, resulting in long queues. The lounge itself was a nice, bright, modern area, the service on the other hand was very poor. We paid £25 per head for this 'expected' privilege. Due to the delay in service and poor quality we did not achieve value for money. It was not the relaxing pre-flight time that we anticipated it would be. I would not recommend nor would I return to the Aspire branded lounges. Poor service, poor quality and a total waste of money.

Had to wait nearly 20 mins to get through the door only to find packed. Managed to find a seat. Couldn't charge mobile as sockets broken. Hardly any food left. Waited another 20 mins before fresh food arrived. Staff were friendly and beer cold but Def not worth the money. Disappointing first and probably last visit. Would have asked for a refund if it would have helped.

The breakfast was limited and and there was no breakfast for vegetarians. The glass window by the chairs had no curtains or blinds so people who were queuing up to come into the lounge were staring.

It was awful. The value for money is appalling. The snacks are poor, drink choice really limited, and the poor staff are run ragged. The staff are very polite, but there simply isn't enough of them. There aren't enough seats, itsxs pokey little room. So disappointed and a rubbish way to start my holiday. I'm considering never ever using this brand of departure lounge ever again. Felt really ripped off.

Very disappointed in this lounge, is basically a cafe upstairs where you still get all the airport noise. Not enough sofas or couches to relax in. The staff were very helpful but I won't be paying for this lounge again.

Not enough seating as far too small for demand. Food very limited.

Arrived 7.40pm. Asked for a menu. There were sandwiches and bagels on the menu. Asked for them at the bar. Rudely told no. There is no sandwiches. Just what is out there. So no sandwiches, no bagels, no afternoon tea. On the menu these should have been available. Soup should have stopped but was still out.

Me and my husband were going on our honeymoon and decided to treat ourselves to your lounge at Manchester Airport terminal 2 on our way to Cape Verde. The lounge was meant to open at 04.00am but didn't open till 04.15am I surprised my husband with a bottle of presecco which when serviced the staffs attitude was disgusting and the ice bucket and glasses were basically thrown at us!! As my husband went the bar to ask for another drink he was left standing with other customers for over 10 mins. Another customer actually went round the front to seek a member of staff. The attitude of the staff members were appalling and we felt as though we were being judged for having a drink at that time of the morning, at fact that we were celebrating. This was not a very good start to our honeymoon and put us both in a very unpleasant and saddened mood. If your staff can't handle the early starts then we should not be the brunt of their moods as this is a customer based organisation.

Awful experince, First time visiting and would not return. Far too busy, No where near enough 'snacks' for people constantly having to wait to replenish the small amount of sandwhichs they had. At one point had they put out cheese and crackers for people as had no food too bring out ready. Greedy company taking too many bookings and offering no where near enough. Constant que for drinks! Had 1 serving and about 10-15 people waiting. Left early! Definatly NOT relaxing !

Nice decor but, contrary to your website, the only food available with soup, cheese and crackers; apparently you'd been busy!! But customers book in advance....so you can plan ,,, definitely not worth the money. escape lounge is cheaper and better . Even your feedback form doesn't work properly.

On arrival at the lounge there was very limited seating available. None which had a power pint for charging my computer for business use. WiFi in the lounge was non existent either on my phone or ipad. Other guests were having the same issue. No sandwiches were available upon arrival at the lounge only watery mushroom soup Luke warm. Staff were friendly but looked as though they were very short staffed and stressed. Fridges to obtain milk from had handles missing and were hard to open. I ended up leaving the lounge to use the wifi within the airport departure lounge as it had a better signal. All in all a very poor experience I will not be repeating. Having only booked an airport lounge in Manchester once before I was appalled at what you got for the price. Newcastle you have a lot to live up to to beat Manchester. Very Poor.

Paul GabelloneSep 21, 16:42 BSTHello.NCL-626842-UKThat is the booking reference from our booking. We arrivdtold please wait so we can check if we have space. We have been busy due to flight delays. A table was finally found and cleaned to accommodate our party of six.We were hungry but to our dismay the food that was offer only offered scraps. The biscuit jar was empty no cheeses available crackers only a handful and the rolls that were there totalled 3. The soup urn was full but no dishes.I decided to ask for refills of supplies but due to the lounge being at capacity your hard working staff were cleaning tables and floors. I waited. Unfortunately I waited a while. I went to the bar. I ordered a Guinness from a can. I was told no glasses. Drink it from the can please or I you can go look for a small glass or cup down their. I was one of a party of six in my family and we were looking forward to relaxing before travel and having a bite to eat and a drink. This did not happen.Your dishwasher was broken on the 15th coupled with the delayed flights and the capacity being full left us in the position of arriving at the wrong time.We had ate some crisps until the supplies were replenished which I am unhappy to inform never happened. The staff did work hard to try and offer some refreshments but I find it fell well below par for an aspire lounge and after spending over 100 pound for 4 Adults and and two children would like a refund due to the lack of facilities and the refreshments on offer that day.We actually had to eat on our flight as we were still very hungry as crisps a few biscuits and some soup was not what we were expecting from our possible 3 hour stay within the aspire lounge Newcastle.I asked for this email from the staff although the young girl who gave me it was working tirelessly due to being so busy.ThanksPaul gabellonePaul GabelloneSep 21, 16:42 BSTHello.NCL-626842-UKThat is the booking reference from our booking.
