The staff were not welcoming and did not provide any assistance in directing you to what your allowances are.

The facilities were not as expected/described and disappointing. For the money spent to use the facility we would have expected better choices, bottled water rather in scratched glasses. The seating area was cramped and the choice of snacks was poor and those that were available were cold.

Although we knew, the walk to the Lounge was some distance. Happily greeted upon arrival by the happy staff despite it being around 6:15am. Only plus point. Selection of drinks was OK, but not impressed by the selection of pastries that looked like they been there for a few days. I know the cost was not much but never got anywhere near value for money, wish I booked one of the other more expensive lounges. Probably ideal for flight later in the day so you get value for money on alcoholic drinks.

Where we were sitting needed cleaned, food and crumbs on the floor, stains on the tables, it wasn't great at all. Also, there were three men in the lounge who were extremely loud and using offensive language, they were warned but I believe they should have been asked to leave, they spoiled the whole experience and were clearly there only to drink bottles of Stella at 7AM in the morning.

First time for us in an airport lounge but if meant to make things easy and de-stress the activity of waiting on an flight well they miss the mark. First of all we turned up to large que being told that it could take up to half an hour to get in. everyone in the que was getting Irate and some guy decided to try and barge in, this provided some amusement but after a 15 hour journey it wasn't what I had paid for. Some other Customers were having great difficulty obtaining a refund which looked extremely difficult to process (not sure if this was poor staff training or poor IT systems). Once inside we were surprised to see the number of empty seats and areas available with large tables and areas occupied by only 1 person, If they had carefully taken people to their seats and arranged the customers their would have been no que at all and as it was lunchtime i think all it would take would be a subtle explanation that it was a busy time but my quick head count showed an excess of ample spaces. Service at the bar was perfect and there were no faults here but the food wasn't the greatest and when the woman in front of me asked for if any sandwiches would be available she was plainly told they were finished. Another problem was that half the sockets at the bench seating didn't operate having worked closely with Electricians my whole life this points to loose or burnt out wires(a very quick but dangerous fault) So in summary Food-silly thumb size pies, no sandwiches~(Not really a meal) Bar -great Organisation- poor Use again-probably not at terminal 5

I booked into the lounge for the 3rd March 2016. It was crowded. One of the draws to booking here was that I was having to be at the airport 4 hours in advance of my flight and it advertised individual pods with your own televisions. I got a pod. Broken/missing table. Used glasses and plates on the floor. Television did not work and when I went and questioned why - the answer..........? 'we could charge for it, but we don't. ??????? Um, this is one of the benefits advertised. However, again I questioned the fact that they don't work. No, I was told, they don't, but I can eat and drink for 'free'....! Internet connection was bad in the pod (I stayed and put my feet up as it was the only place to sit.)

Food sub-standard with tuckshop quality, pre-packed items like biscuits, chips and bite sized pre-packed cheese. No visible cooked hot or fresh food. Would have been a better option to use the payment at one of the great food outlets in the terminal.

I was travelling with my mum on 5th March 2016. We were really looking forward to going in the lounge, it was our first trip together since my dad passed and we thought we'd treat ourselves to the lounge. My mum hadn't eaten and was looking forward to lunch in lounge but the only food on offer was crisps and crackers. Some soup came out at some point but it wasn't announced and was in a separate area so once we did know about it it had all gone and were informed no more would be coming out. And so we ended up paying for food on the flight which was extremely disappointing. We just expected a bit of a better service really.

Found this lounge overpriced for quality that you receive...I think it was overcrowded and no where near enough seating for the time I was there. As a lone female traveler I book the lounges at most airports and this one fell way below the mark for me. Other customers also felt the same as myself after we had a chat .

First time i have used this lounge at Manchester and it comes a poor 2nd to the others i have used, there was no one on reception when we arrived and checking in was very slow compared to others where it has been very quick, at other lounges we have been shown to our reserved table but this time we were just told to go in and find somewhere to sit. When we found a table we had to clear it ourselves of the mess from the previous occupants. Drinks service was via a bar rather than self service and the service was slower because of this and the bar wasn't always attended. The standard of snacks was very poor with just a very small selection of crisps nuts and biscuits which were of a low standard. Would only use this lounge as a last resort in future.

Cold room, tired decor, not very clean - tables needed cleaning, food choices extremely poor and not replenished, staff disinterested, prefer to pay more for better service

This was our first visit to the lounge and the drinks and food on offer were good, however we arrived after the Emirates flight had departed and we were very disappointed that cleaning and hovering was taking place all around us, for at least an hour of our visit. The reason we booked was to have some quiet relaxing time before our holiday however it would have been quieter sitting in the bar upstairs given the quietness of the airport that day. We felt that we did not experience the full service expected and will think again before rebooking.

This is the second time I have used the aspire lounge and I can say that I was disappointed in comparison to the first time. I had booked for a bottle of prosecco to be ready upon our arrival to the lounge. I had to ask for it and when I asked no one appeared to know about it. This in isolation wouldn't have been an issue however there was not enough food options for the amount of people using the lounge. We arrived just as the morning menu was changing over to the afternoon. There was 1 bacon roll when we arrived then another 3 where put out. There was then another fairly sizeable wait for the cold sandwiches to be put out and again when they were it was a poor experience with the entire population of the lounge queuing to get some. On the whole it was a pretty average visit. The seating is plentiful and comfortable and the views are great of the runways. The drinks options are varied and easily accessible.

Arrived at 1:40 sat 5th March Told there would be no sandwiches as they had ran out early Not a good service when you're paying £20 per head to sit there for a couple of hour

The only good thing I can say is the lounge was clean and tidy (and of course very comfortable). When we arrived the lady at Reception was extremely slow and informed us with regard to food and beverage service that "what you see is what you get" (her exact words). She had said the same thing to the couple ahead of us. We each had a cup of coffee and when we went back for a refill the pots were empty. There were no muffins or pastries (just a few bagels); one wilted looking tuna sandwich and a small tray of unidentifiable sandwiches that looked like they had meat paste in them. All in all an expensive and extremely disappointing visit. We have used the lounge on several occasions in the past and have never had such a bad experience.

Food and drink out of stock. Staff not as welcoming as the lounge at Bristol. Papers and magazines invisible. Poor value for money would not book again. The lack of bread at breakfast or lunchtime was unfathomable.

Lounge is buried at the back of the airport. The refreshments offering is poor, only offering soup over lunch. Can't fault the staff there but the overall lounge experience was very disappointing for the cost.
