Having been to other VIP lounges I have to say we were rather disappointed. On arrival we found the reception was anything but a warm welcome . The receptionist was rather impatient while we found our invatation . I also felt that the lounge was rather scruffy . The staff did not seem to be very friendly either I do not think that we will ever use your service again

Disappointing - did not have a good range of food and too many fizzy drinks - not worth the extra we paid

The coffe machine was broken there was a shortage of staff (a member of staff told me) the snacks were poor to other lounges I have visited I tried to get the attention of a member of staff to tell her about the coffe machine and she looked at me and turned away it was 20 minutes before I had had a drink of any description not good value for money

The lounge was pretty full during my visit, It was hard to find a place to sit. There was no hot meal, just snacks, chips and some fruit. On the other hand there was a wide choice of drinks, which was not necessary, as not many people drink alcohol before flight.

Facilities were poor and tired. Although one staff member was friendly the reception / welcome was impersonal and lacking any real sincerity. The choice of alcoholic drinks was very limited especially the wine. A staff member said, "we have two white wines but there is only the Californian left" and was a brand I would not expect to find anywhere but in the local garage shop. I appreciate it is now a bar service but the glasses used were more likely to be found in a canteen. The soup was acceptable but the other offerings were poor. Overall our stay was not a pleasant experience and one that we will not repeat. I have used other lounge facilities but regret that your establishment at Manchester terminal 2 does not meet the expected grade.

An ok lounge to be away from the hustle and bustle of the airport, and conveniently located. However it was disappointing compared to the Aspire lounge at Gatwick though-staff not very friendly or competent on arrival, no toilets and a much poorer selection of snacks (and what there was ran out and wasn't refilled) Also the wifi worked less well than the airports own free wifi. We had assumed all Aspire lounges would be of the same standard. Would probably choose a different lounge next time in all honesty.

Very disappointed . We went into lounge thinking it would be quieter than the airport and it was not. Very busy the food was poor, hardly any bacon n the roll and the coffee was out of a machine. A total waste of money, we would have been better just going for breakfast in one of the restaurants

Thank you for asking me to review the lounge, was very disappointed, uncomfortable depressing waiting room atmosphere or similar to a poor transport cafe....staff were fantastic though sadly won't be back

Was very disappointed in lounge for price we paid. No toilets inside which is ridiculous. Food not much at all. No sandwiches or cakes etc. No sparkling water. In gatwick airport lounge for same money you get glass of fizz and excellent food as well as good seating and much better atmosphere. And toilets are amazing.

Thank you for the opportunity to offer feedback. On arrival we found the lounge somewhat overcrowded, although we did manage to find a seat each there were others who arrived after us who were finding difficulty in getting seats. The temperature in the lounge, due possibly to the high level of occupancy, was to high for comfort. It was hot and stuffy. Towards the end of our stay in the lounge the numbers did reduce and it did become a little more comfortable. We had booked our 'slot', and I had assumed that this was done to control numbers in the lounge. Despite it being crowded 'walk-ins' were still be accepted. The hard work of the staff to keep the lounge clear of dirty plates, to keep the nibbles and drinks filled, and to ensure clean plates etc were available should be acknowledged. I have used other lounges before. Thank you.

There was little or no choice of hot food (a few tepid bacon rolls and we had to ask and wait several minutes after they had run out) and that was it! Very expensive for what was on offer

Paid £20 each for myself and my Dad in between connecting flights. As the airport is going through a period of building we found it difficult to locate initially, even staff were unsure. The food selection was very poor with no hot 'breakfast' food, which I have always had at other airport lounges, and what was provided was not particularly exciting or tasty.

sorry to say but not what I thought I was going to get. I.e buffet breakfast was a bacon roll. I had a early flight yes and this is the first time I had booked a lounge with aspire, So was looking forward to a buffet breakfast inc- eggs bacon sausages etc.. Nice lounge but sadly disappointed. Lee.

Poor choice of food and poorly stocked fridges. Temperature was very cool. Alcohol was served from a tiny bar. Staff were nice enough but wouldn't pay to use again. Would rather eat in one of the airport bars!

Extremely hard to find. No signage. Friendly greeting on arrival, and pleasant obliging stAff. Furniture appeared rather jaded. We suspect this may be a redundAnt restaurant which has been assessed as being useful as an extra lounge. Main complaint was the food. Breakfast buffet was available when we stayed, and this was very poor. Fruit such as pineapple and mango had been sliced, but appeAr to have been prepared days ago. It was dry and completely unappetising. Nothing looked fresh on the buffet, despite a chef popping in from time to time to rearrange the containers. It was a quiet place for a nap between long haul flights, but has nothing else to commend it.

We have used Aspire+ several times before (at Newcastle and Gatwick) and has always been excellent; however, last Monday (at Newcastle) there was obviously a lack of staff combined with a very busy Aspire lounge next door resulted in no bar staff in Aspire+. My wife and I and others had to repeatedly wait and/or had to request that staff attend to people waiting in Aspire+. Moreover; there was no staff to help a disabled lady in a wheelchair relocate from her chair to a seat - my wife assisted the lady. Not a good experience this time I'm afraid for the nearly £80 paid. Kind Regards.

Did not like my recent stay, Desk staff not welcoming, no seats that you could lie back in and relax, and the whole place was so cold it was impossible to relax. The positives were that The drinks and food were very nice and it was not very busy, but would not stay again as it was just too cold.

We booked on line. When we arrived we were told that the snacks were soup and sandwiches. My husband and I requested some sandwiches and we're told 'there's none left but there might be some soup left if you have a look at the end'. There was indeed some lukewarm soup still left. At almost £20 per head I found it poor value for money. The service was slow and staff not very helpful. This was our first experience of the lounge at Newcastle and a one I don't think we will be repeating.
