(Manchester Aspire Airport Lounge - Terminal 1) - Posted 8 years ago
I booked the Aspire Lounge at Heathrow T5 with the sole and specific intention of having a shower after a 7.5 hour overnight flight from Dubai, before catching an onward flight to Nice. No food, no drinks, no armchair or pod, just a shower. I paid my £31 for access to the lounge, with a further £20 to be paid on the day for the shower. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but it was worth it to me. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the shower was broken, with no estimate of when it would be fixed. I asked for a refund because I did not want any of the other facilities, but no dice. I wonder how long the shower had been broken, and how many other passengers were caught and are still being caught like me. So I add my voice to the many others advising our fellow-passengers to give the Aspire Lounge a wide berth..

when we arrived in the lounge we were advised no self service at the bar and we had to call them on the main desk if for someone to go to the bar to serve us. We had to go find someone to serve us drinks every time, I think I spent more waiting to be served than I actually spent in the lounge, we left shortly after and went out in the bar in departures. no-one was stationed at the bar. Poor selection of snacks & cereal. After a brilliant experience in the executive lounge in Bristol (lots of variety and self serve) we were very disappointed. will not be using the executive lounge at Cardiff in future. total waste of money!!!!!

I have already sent an email mail to the Lounge Support team on Friday 26th May ref 53267 for which I have had no response. Staff attitude poor , lengthy queues for service at bar, no food of note 1.30pm hot food (soup) empty tureen empty sandwich tray with notice served between 12 and 2pm. After asking where more coming to get response " I'm on my own you'll have to wait" and so we did until 1 small tray arrived for a very busy disgruntled crowd. Bit like 5 loess especially and 3 fishes . Will think long and hard before paying to experience this shambles again. I will await a response to my email !!

Not clean and no selection. I prefer the Lufthansa Lounge level.

Unfortunately as we did nor receive a confirmation of our reservation we did not use this facility. It would be helpful if a return confirmation could be sent out especially where there is more than one lounge at the particular airport.

Only soup available, a few scones and some small cakes. My first (and probably last) lounge booking! Not impressed with food provided. We came as a party of 12 and asked the staff for some additional food, only to be told nothing else would be available. Member of staff stated there was a shortage of fresh pasta so no choice - just soup. Also when leaving I would have expected staff member to have thanked us, a smile and a goodbye wouldn't have gone amiss either! Overall would have been better at McDonalds and that's saying something!

We were rammed in like sardines. Food was unpleasant and the lounge was dirty.

Last year I flew business and enjoyed the lounge at Larnaca. This year I flew club and was happy to pay to experience the lounge again, with comfy seats and wc near by and less crowded environment. Problem was the lounge had moved temporarily o 2 cordoned off gates. Same seats as any other gate, eating on low tables that. Not special, exposed to all at other gates. Waitresses couldn't keep up with volume of people and everyone queuing for a small sandwich. Very unspecial on this occasion. Maybe you should inform your customers in advance so they have a choice to continue with the purchase or not.

Booked a party of 10 that's five couples and we were seated separately on arrival ? The food choice was diabolical cream tea before your afternoon flight laughable! Pasta , quiche, crackers and crisps. Drinks no Ameretto no Baikeys no Tia Maria. An experience never to be repeated. And to top it all No response to my e mail despite numerous attempts

Shocking food selection of cold mini stale croissants, no butter or jam available. Only 1 of the 3 coffee machines working, resulting in long delays

When we arrived we expected to go up to the lounge but there was a sign saying it was under construction and that we had to go to a gate think it was 22/23, it was shocking food and drinks nothing like any other lounge I have been to and it was not worth the money at all.

We had booked this lounge to have a couple of drinks before we our flight to Venice , however when we arrived we were notified that there would be no alcohol on that day , we asked the reason and the young lady couldn't give us a straight answer. Paying 80.00 for two people to drink pop? Really that is unacceptable and I would request that we get our money credit back to our card PLEASE EMIAL ME rod.sample@circor.com

There wasn't much food available and quickly ran out. The drinks were fine and the seats comfy. I expected more for the money.
