A total disgrace .. no food .. under staffed .. appalling.. no plates for the little food that was left .. had to get bags of crisps from behind the bar .. thought it would be a lovely treat and a great start to our holiday .. big mistake .. totally disappointed .. it’s was laughable .. I’ve visited Manchester airports lounges on many occasions and have always been very satisfied.. this was a massive disappointment ..

My friends and I were on a long haul flight,Edinburgh to Heathrow then on to Miami. After the looking at the website and reviews we thought it would be a good idea to book a lounge and relax inbetween flights. How disappointed we were. When we checked in the staff were either short staffed or just ran off their feet, they were all running around like headless chickens, then we were told where we were sitting was in a totally different room to the main area. The next issue was the lack of choice of food. According to the website their is a wide selection of food/cereal/bread. We arrived about 10 am and it looked like there was only the dregs left and again the staffed to running around but not actually doing any work. I have used the lounge in Glasgow and it is so much better to be honest it was such a let down and I don’t think any of my party would visit again.

This is the worst airport lounge I have ever experienced. The layout was utterly impractical: narrow, with no space to move about and the food and drink in what passed for a corridor, so people queueing for food were dodging people trying to wheel past cases and vice verse. There was nowhere to sit, and yet still ‘walk ins’ were being accommodated. The food was disappointing and wasn’t replenished very quickly (so we just had what we could, not what we wanted). The bar staff specialised in ‘service with a scowl’. We had to go out of the lounge to use a toilet. For a brand new terminal, very disappointing and we won’t bother again.

Extremely disappointed in ths. I paid for access to the lounge but denied access as they were unable to scan my bar code. It also took over an hour to get there. I've written to executive lounges requesting a refund but am yet to receive a reply. Generally a very poor experience!

I've been less and less impressed with the Aspire lounges the last few visits but this one really was horrendous. Virtually nothing available just empty plates. No rolls, no pastries, lukewarm cooked food, down to 3 sausages (which did eventually get replaced by the time we left) you're left sitting at a table thinking what on earth did I pay all that money for when I could have got a full meal of my choosing in any of the restaurants downstairs for half the price? Hugely over priced with a very meagre offering of food. I don't think I will be returning anymore. I've also just noticed this review thread all the questions below seem to relate to postal deliveries? They can't even send out a review request and get it right.

We use the lounges on a regular basis, normally it is a haven from the departure lounge. On this occasion it was anything but, it was overcrowded and noisy. The buffet was limited and not kept stocked, the toilets were smelly and dirty. Very disappointing.

Only because I cannot award 0..... On the day we visited the lounge I was given an email address specifically to make a formal complaint which sent on 27th December 2019. My family still await a response to the email. I stood outside directing customers away from paying to enter the lounge. Cancel and get a refund.......here’s the transcript Dear James, I am currently with my family in the lounge and want you to know how bitterly dissatisfied we are. The food selection is as poor as poor can be and the quality is dreadful. I have paid £24.99 per person and have just sent my children out to purchase lunch. Just disgraceful and I am only one of several others complaining to the duty manager. I have just told several customers who had not prepaid to walk away. I couldn’t support the idea of others paying for this rubbish. Prosecco at additional cost, what on earth is that about? Choice all round is pathetic. The food consists of a soup, dried pasta dish, a tray of baked beans, vegetables and couscous. There’s a bowl of white sauce that happens to be mashed potatoes.......wow! A salad bar with no salad, cheese plate that is empty, no bread but a bowl full of pasta! Travelled all over the world and I just want you to know that by a country mile, this is the worst lounge I have ever visited. I have taken photographs as proof and will supply on request. I look forward to your response........ Regards Lee Shearwood MIFS DipFA

We turned up to the Aspire Lounge to the thought of being in a relaxed environment before jetting off on holiday in Barbados. What greeted us was not a relaxing environment at all. Their was a distinct lack of staff and the staff that were present, was trying to do at least three jobs each!. The tables were full of dirty plates that were not cleared away and we had to clear them ourselves. The food was cold which had been laid out and covers not placed on them. The service was quite poor and frankly we would of been better off having breakfast in the general areas of the airport. Never again will I choose this lounge

We visited the lounge in Edinburgh airport just after Christmas. There are two lounges but only one shown on the departure lounge maps. So it took a while to locate. The range and quality of food on offer was very poor and had obviously been sitting for a long time. Drinks had to be ordered ( in every other lounge free to take) Can customers not be free to choose.?We will not book ever again.

Hot food choices were very poor. No food for the children. Drink selections were limited. Struggled to find a seat. Have been in other lounges and this was the worst I have attended

Not worth it. Nothing special for the price to be honest. The breakfast choice was underwhelming...I was sorry I didn’t stay outside and get a fine hearty breakfast. Not very comfortable, seating was like a cafe rather than a lounge.

Despite showing my credit card payment statement, we were refused entry as our names were not on the entry list. The lady manager was very rude and told us go take it up with Head Office, which wqas not open until 9am, our flight was at 6.25am. She agreed that the payment of £62.98 0n 4 November had been taken from Head Office but still refused our entr. There was clearly an admin error resulting in our names not being on the list. This was very embarrassing in front of other customers and it was a trip planned for my husband's 50th birthday, this experience ryuned our experince at Heathrow airport. I would like a full refund of £62.98 as soon as possible please, noy only has this experience put us off booking with Executive Lounges again but we were also out of pocket at the start of our trip. I had planned the trip and wanted everything to be perfect for my husband, It wasn't.

First time using the lounge and was excited as I had heard good things about it. The breakfast selection was disgusting bacon was rock solid and lying in a puddle of grease, very little choice for breakfast. Staff seemed more interested in standing around chatting rather than helping out. The lounge was freezing and the choice of drinks was limited. I will never use the lounge again

On arriving at the lounge we were sent to the another one as it wasn’t clear on the website. The lounge was empty but they could not accommodate our family, my mother struggles with walking but still the staff member would not accommodate this to the point of being rude. Staff need training on equality issues and basic manners. To be honest after spending over £200 on the experience it was a pretty shocking would have been better in a coffee shop better selection.

The lounge tables were dirty with wet ring stains and crumbs everywhere. It took me 10 mins of walking around to find somewhere half passable to sit. I wiped my own seating area clean and moved dirty glasses onto another table. The flooring was filthy and needed cleaning and the bathrooms were dirty. There were 3 dishes of food which were not recognisable and inedible mush. I was extremely upset. I picked up a roll of dollar notes and handed them in at the receptionist who took a while to acknowledge my presence then thanked me when I said I had found the money in front of the reception on the floor. My experience was not at all pleasant for what I paid and I would be wary of recommending the lounge to anyone else. If there was a zero star I would give a zero.

Quality of food and drink was below standard for a executive lounge. Range of food limited to 3 choices for lunch. I could not choose 1 to eat. Loads of chilli and garlic dishes. As to wine 1 choice for white rose or red and just undrinkable. It was cheap plonk. Disgusting. Lounge was cold and stark. A total waste of money. £25 Down the drain xthe 4 people in our party
