Admiral Insurance somehow gained access to my bank account (even though I had removed direct debit) and took a lot of money off and we did not even have valid policy at the time. Scary stuff!!! They entire attitude was disturbing and it took threatening with reports to Financial Ombudsman to get my money back. I would never deal with this company again!

A shambles from start to finish. We were given a multi-car quote online and chose to proceed. At this point we were unable to complete the quote and given a number to call. When we spoke to them they informed us the price had gone up due to an accident my partner had been involved in. This turned out to be a non-fault incident over 5 years previous when someone had reversed into her car whilst she was in the house visiting. After several phone calls and arguments my extremely upset girlfriend was given a new quote closer to the original which we decided to accept. Foolishly....the warning signs were there! I was involved in a hit and run, non-fault, incident in the final few months of the policy. What really infuriated me the most is the fact the insurance company you pay a lot of money too aren't willing to help or ease the situation but are perfectly willing to read word for word lines from a pre-drafted script! I was told to take my car into the garage to have the damage assessed. Upon doing so I was advised not to drive my car due to impact damage to the front passenger wheel. When I spoke to admiral about this I was told I couldn’t have a courtesy car until they had received a quotation! Only a 60 mile round trip to work to contend with...thanks Admiral. I'm not even going to get started on the heap of s**t car that was given. Final nail in the coffin after months of them trying to resolve my claim (and to be honest I’m still in shock that they did) was them telling me they had recovered their costs from the third party but not my excess payment and I had to speak to admiral law. They informed me as this was so low they would charge a fee and it wouldn’t be in my best interest and referred me to the third parties insurer. Big credit to Advantage Insurance Company/Hastings. They resolved the issue in no time and where extremely helpful. Shame I have just taken out a policy with someone else as I would have given them a try. Avoid Admiral Like the Plague!!!

Please anyone looking for emergency breakdown cover look else where.in July on three occasions I had to call the emergency team out as my combi boiler kept breaking down.the engineer they sent out did not diagnose the fault tried to say the gas pipe leading into the boiler was the wrong size.I ended up getting a new policy with baxi.and their engineer pin pointed the fault straight way.all admiral had to do was replace the parts.I feel totally ripped off.

Someone crashed into the back of me then drove off. My car was written off however I managed to get the vehicle's number plate, Admiral were eager to send someone to collect my car but once they took it away they said I had 2 options, I could claim on my policy or I could wait for them to identify the other party but I would be charged storage fees. Since I couldn't afford storage fees I chose to claim. Worst mistake I've made in my entire life. They valued my car at approximately a third of what it was genuinely worth. They 'invalidated' my 12 month policy (which I pad for in full) which still had 6 months remaining. I had to buy a new insurance and they are telling me that until they can identify the driver the incident was my fault, therefore I've lost my no claims bonus and the new policy which I was forced to buy was almost triple the price of my previous one. It has now been over 10 months and they are saying they have still not identified the driver even though I provided his registration plate. I have kept asking them to ring me and keep me updated but I have had to ring them every single time we've been in touch (building up an enormous phone bill). I have received an e-mail from them saying that the member of staff handling my case will be charging £245 per hour, and they will be taking that from any money I eventually receive. I couldn't believe my eyes. It is now almost time to renew my policy again which means paying for another ridiculously overpriced policy all because they threatened to charge me storage fees if I didn't claim on my policy. They tricked me and I am hundreds if not thousands of pounds out-of-pocket all because someone crashed into the back of me whilst I was driving normally and because of Admiral. Please don't make the same mistake I did, even if Admiral offer you the cheapest policy, it is worth paying the extra to be with a different company just incase you are involved in an incident.

I had somone make a claim against me for a tiny bump and admiral have stung me with paying £1750 for it when the damage was £500-£800 tops, replacing a bumper on a vauxall insignia and car hire would no way come to £1750, it should of went down as knock for knock but the man that was Pakistan of orìgin and he milked my insurance for all he could get, im suprised he didnt claim whiplash as well do not buy admiral unless you like paying for insurance that doesnt really insure you all the best ?

Another year of the premium lottery from Admiral and I was really not surprised to discover yet again an attempt to impose another significant increase, this time it was +32%. As a customer of 13 years standing I didn't even bother of going through the charade of speaking to the customer retention team on this occasion but switched to another insurer who offered the exact same policy but saved myself £150.

The driving tracker provided seemed to be incorrect readings. I started off at gold for a while and when I was approaching the end it the. Went to bronze. I drove at the speed limit at all times and carefully braked etc as I would normally drive

My father cancelled his renewal policy as it was too expensive. Unknown to him the customer service lady debited his account at over £1,000! He only noticed when checking his bank statement. Admiral were quick to resolve the issue after obtaining phone records and confirmed that he did request the policy to be terminated.

Had an insurance with them almost a year at 900£ per year.Last month i bumped into someone, literally running 3 miles /hour.The stupid idiot claim personal injury as I have taken photos of her car and the car was just fine.I called admiral and inform them and they were nice and so on, however my renewal policy came back at 1900£.called admiral customer service and they told me then that the actual idiot has claimed but they could not be bothered to inform you hence the increase , however they did not dispute the claim as the lady was also their customer :) so cheaper for them to settle.I have not even been asked questions etc , no photos to send , they just decided to give her the money. No medical expertise required. Anyway they drove down my no claim to 3 years from 7, and offered me lastly 1300 ~£ per year. I went online submitted all the information and got a new quote at 680£ providing my 6 penalty points and the claim for which the amount is still secret ( they did not want to tell me what they decided to settle in my name.)

I have been with Admiral insurance for 10+ years and had always been happy with the package offered with their multi-car policy. However this year has not been a good year and I certainly will be looking around for another insurance company when our renewal is up. Firstly this year when our renewal was up they put our price up by £250 which we managed to get down to an £200 but when asked why it has gone up so much they stated that our type of car had high level of claims or was being targeted by thieves in our area. We had never made a claim and have over 15 years no claims, so were really disappointed that our premium had been increased through no fault of our own. Unfortunately in August this year I had an accident and did go through the claims process which I have to say is appalling, this company do not speak to their customers and you feel that you are just a number. I initially phoned to give the details of the accident to the customer service agent and I was asked to take my car to a local bodywork garage for assessment. I took the car in and discussed with the garage how much the potential damage was going to be. They informed me that they were self assessing and that the insurance company would not write off a car with only 45,000 miles on the clock also it didn't have that much damage. A week later I booked my car in with the garage to get the car fixed and picked up a courtesy car expecting to just be notified when the work was completed. Three days later I picked up an email which was a letter from Admiral informing that they had instructed a salvage company in Bedford to come and collect my car (I am in West Sussex), shocked did not cover this revelation. I phoned Admiral and gave them some constructive feedback with regards to the fact that a letter with that information should not just be sent that surely a discussion should be had with regards to the fate of my car, I was not even offered an option to take the car home given that it was drive able. I went to collect my personal belongings from my car and drop off the courtesy car and due to the bumper not being put back on I couldn't have driven the car home even I was given the option. I was then informed by Admiral that I would be given a link to a portal which I would then need to complete all my details and the claim would then be assessed. I had to chase for the link to be sent to me as this took about 2 days. Once the portal link was received I completed this and again it took 3 days (with chasing) for them to even look at the claim and then ask for further information. A commitment was then made that we would receive the settlement figure by the end of the day this was not received and I had to chase for the outcome the next day. You are given the name of your dedicated claims handler and I can honestly say that I was not able to speak to them once and that every time an inquiry was made referring to the claim you were referred back to the portal. Once you have processed all the information on the portal this does not provide you with any further information or updates. I found the way that they dealt with the claim was devoid of customer service or satisfaction - What is wrong with picking up the telephone and discussing the claim by talking, the world has gone technology mad but this is to the detriment of good customer service !!!!! The whole process has taken 2 weeks to get to the settlement figure and payment in my bank and I have been without a car the whole of time trying to organise lifts to work so that I didn't have to take time off. I feel that there was no urgency and that they don't care how these situations affect people's lives and that a snap decision is just made without discussing all the options and certainly disregarding your situation. I have been a good and loyal customer over the years and the claim process has left a bad taste and they have now lost my business going forward which is a shame but they obviously don't care as insurance companies are never going to lose.
